  1. Actually there's a reason behind ICE's still being the primary mode of propulsion of automobiles after more than a century. For instance, battery technology still has a long way to go before electric cars become really practical; hydrogen power is still in its infancy (relatively), and then there's the whole issue of fuel infrastructure. Etc etc... The simple fact of the matter is that looking at the overall picture, the ICE is still the best option out there...which is why it's stuck around for so long, and will be around for a long time to come... And well there's a reason that the Wankel didn't catch on either...true it's vastly superior to the your run-of-the-mill piston engine in terms of smoothness, high-end power and simplicity. But there are flaws which are inherent to the very nature of how it operates that you can't really overcome...like the lack of low-down torque, and the relatively low engine efficiency due to lack of proper sealing around the rotor.
  2. not to insult anyone...but aren't Merc pushing ahead with BlueEfficiency tech throughout most of their range...even their flagship S has a diesel BlueE model as well as a hybrid model...so I think it's safe to say that fuel efficiency has become a priority even among premium marques..."Fuel&Merc doesn't match" isn't entirely accurate.. the only manufacturers for whom fuel efficiency would be low on the list would be of course the supercar and ultra-luxury marques at the far end of the spectrum..
  3. thanks ripper and no im da quiet type don't like too much attention anyway
  4. Name: Buddhike Age: 19 (yea i know so don't start ) School: LIS nugegoda Currently: Studying engineering...done with 2 years Started driving da family corolla 120 when i was 12...unlicensed driver on minor roads for a few years...legal driver for two years Car fanatic for as long as i can remember...current garage in dreamland includes an R35, evo VIII, and a 100-series 'cruiser (with the turboD of course) First love will always be da beloved white 120 corolla though...under-equipped and under-powered it maybe...but responsible for my love of a proper manual gearbox and a lot of fond memories revving da nuts off da 1.3 trying to keep up with da bigger rides Will post a pic when i buy my first proper car with my own money hopefully next year
  5. i may be wrong but according to the fluid mechanics i know...da whole point of spoilers is to increase downforce...i don't know how on earth that can reduce da Cd value... what they should have done was up da engine capacity and optimize the system for for higher power and torque at the trade off of some of the economy...something closer to da lexus approach this is just ricing it up..nothing dat cant be done in SL im sure our boys can come up with convincing enough 'TRD' badging as well
  6. thanks guys hey how do i do dat? u mean lyk in da caption?
  7. Hey my first topic Thot of sharing a vid i made in my free tym...basically bits and pieces from the TG road test with some (mostly successful ) audio-syncing...
