Try to avoid Narahenpita Petrol Shed (next to Apollo/Lanka Hospitals). I have first hand experience in one incident where the credit card was charged twice (within a few seconds). Another where the meter was reset before my wife was able to see the final reading, and a third where she was quite sure the meter was not reset before starting to pump. The credit card incident was sorted amicably, buy I have a strong fishy feeling they may be doing it regularly. Please do watch out.

Goto a garage. You'd have to remove the glass, one of the two plastic holders would be either broken or loose. Youd have to fix or replace. If broken don't try various glue. It did not help me. I used an old holder from the garage. Once the glass is put back in place you may find trouble with the auto option. Not using the car during the weekend fixed it for me. I think there is some memory effect.

Picked up a black and decker vac works fine for me (not the automobile version) and a karcher high pressure cleaner. I also got a black and decker inflator from Dubai though. B&d is delmege and karcher is tudawe.
