  1. Niranjan, as i said the credit card incident was sorted, amicably with the shed manager. The incidents were quoted to educate and warn the topic readers.
  2. Try to avoid Narahenpita Petrol Shed (next to Apollo/Lanka Hospitals). I have first hand experience in one incident where the credit card was charged twice (within a few seconds). Another where the meter was reset before my wife was able to see the final reading, and a third where she was quite sure the meter was not reset before starting to pump. The credit card incident was sorted amicably, buy I have a strong fishy feeling they may be doing it regularly. Please do watch out.
  3. Check this http://www.adaderana.lk/bizenglish/breaking-news-sri-lankas-car-van-prices-tumble-through-budget-2015/
  4. Just try the agent, if that fails pm me, I used a su14 few years back, accelerator is fly-by-wire. the foreman at agent who addressed issues in my car is now elsewhere, he may be able to help.
  5. I presume some new model holders will fit with a little modification. If you have the broken piece try some second hand shops at delkanda for a similar piece.
  6. Model: Toyota Townace Manufactured year: 1991 Engine Capacity : ~2000cc (2C) Fuel type : Diesel Transmission Type : Manual Economy : (kmpl) city limits - 10-12km/l Out stations : 12-16 km/l
  7. Goto a garage. You'd have to remove the glass, one of the two plastic holders would be either broken or loose. Youd have to fix or replace. If broken don't try various glue. It did not help me. I used an old holder from the garage. Once the glass is put back in place you may find trouble with the auto option. Not using the car during the weekend fixed it for me. I think there is some memory effect.
  8. Picked up a black and decker vac works fine for me (not the automobile version) and a karcher high pressure cleaner. I also got a black and decker inflator from Dubai though. B&d is delmege and karcher is tudawe.
  9. I tried a cut and polish, but was not as effective as I expected. Actually ended up with a different blur. Is replacing the windscreen an option?. at 10-15k you may find some second hand/OEM windscreens.
  10. Have been using one for over 5 years - only colombo - bought '0' mileage. peak traffic - does 10-12 all the time. I think this is the usual for peak traffic.
  11. Does about 14+ in Colombo/suburb, travelling daily out of Colombo (opposite traffic) with a bit careful acceleration. Casual driving does 12+. Outstation above 17.
