  1. Hi everyone! Hope you all are well and staying safe! Has the government given any extensions to renew our vehicle revenue license? If not how can we do it in these lockdown days? I know there is this online service, but without a functioning postal department, this wouldn't work, and too risky to follow as there will be delays/dislocations and imagine explaining something like this to an average police officer. (hats off to good policemen) Also no way to get the smoke test done. So then what are our options? Have you managed to renew your vehicle insurance these days? I just tried to reach my insurance company for hours but couldn't get through. Are there any online payment and delivery services operated by these companies these days? Thank you in advance! Kind Regards, Dush
  2. Thank you so very much bro! This is excellent! I checked with a shop and they have Mobil Super Moto 20w 50.
  3. Dear all, How you all doing? I bought a 2015 XR 230 (9000km done) (CRF230L in USA) and would like to know how you all maintain your XRs. Please accept my apologies for my lack of knowledge on this. It would be great if you could kindly reply to my following queries. 1. Is it best to change oil every 2000km or 5000km (I only use it to commute and never do hard off road but light trails)? Which oil is best and the viscosity? I can find Mobil and Caltex in our country. 2. Does this bike have an oil filter that you should change when you change engine oil? If so the model and the brand of the filter? Or do you have to clean the oil screen? 3. How to lubricate the chain? I heard that you have a spray oil, what is the brand and how often you should do it, or what is the best way? 4. Best tension of the chain? 5. 92 octane gas or 95 octane gas? 6. Recommended break oil? 7. Recommended tire pressure for front and rear - it still has original factory fitted tires (Bridgestone) 8. What are the other maintenance items I have missed? 9. Best place to buy parts/oil in Sri Lanka? Thank you so very much Live to ride, ride to live !

  5. Guys, need to import an rc transmitter. Can anybody help me clearing it? I can pay for your services. Thank you
  6. Thank you so much for the reply, I would be happy if I can repair it as I have the other one as a back up. Its just makes rattling sound only for deep base
  7. Thanks so much for your reply, one of the speakers provides rattling sound for low bass, not sure if its the coil or something else. I checked in the shop you mentioned and almost all the other car audio shops in colombo, they dont have. Due to the popularity of JBL now there are a lot of fakes. Almost all ebays are fake/chinese JBLs. I did some research on this. This is regarding JBL high end speakers only. Not sure about others. Can buy from Amazon but the duty cost n shipping is insane dude. Almost 3 times the price of the speakers. And then you have to pay more money to post office dirty bloods + duty again to clear it. Its crazy
  8. Please, can you pm me the place, mine is one of the high grade ones, hard to find. Thanks so much dude
  9. Any good place/technician to repair car speakers? my JBL is slightly broken, can't find a place to buy original JBL. Thanks.
  10. Wow, thanks so much for the prompt reply and for the valuable resources, tried partsouq.com, what a site, very detailed. I found it. Thank you so very much. :)
  11. Please, can someone help me to find these Glove box hinges (bottom holding clips) of Lancer CK1? Both clips are broken in the photo. Thanks in advance.
  12. Thank you so much Davy, I checked with him, he doesn't have the one for my engine model. :'''( I appreciate your help anyway. Regards, Dushan
  13. Dear all, My Lancer CK1's ignition coil is dead. :( Do you know a place where I can buy a GENUINE Mitsubishi coil? Other option is to replace the entire distributor, Agents distributors cost a fortune, I can buy a new car for the money I spend for four distributors. its crazy. If you can give me a lead even to a used second hand distributor will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance
  14. Hi everyone, Hope you all are enjoying the weekend. I badly need a Lancer Evo VI (6) OEM spoiler, not a fiberglass one. I already checked almost all the shops from Delkanda to Vijerama. They don't have any kind of spoiler for a lancer. They said the stock is over and they didn't get that type of spoilers recently. I checked in Dehiwala to Bellanvilla, 119 road all the way from Dehiwala to Nugegoda as well and found only one shop which has OEM Evo iv (4) spoilers. Very expensive though. But I need the OEM Evo vi (6) spoiler. Please see the attached photo. Please, can you let me know if you know someone, someplace where I can get or to get directed to a place where I can get the spoiler. Thank you so much. Drive safely, Dush
  15. Dear all, Hope you all are doing well and looking forward for the weekend. Would any of you know where to buy Genuine Mitsubishi Ignition Coils for my Lancer CK1? Company doesn't have items in stock and requires a down payment and a month long waiting and is every expensive. Heard that there is a shop in Kirulapona area for Genuine Mitsubishi Ignition Coils. Thank you in advance, Kind Regards, Dush
  16. Thanks a lot Quiet and Rumesh88, appreciate it a lot. Found a lawyer service office in my area and got it done.
  17. Dear all, Hope you all are doing great. I need to find a JP to certify the ID copies and the letter of ownership transfer during weekends or weekdays after 4.30pm as I really can't step out of the office these days. I know they are available near the ID/passport office but only from 8am - 2pm. Please let me know if you know a JP around Colombo who is available during weekends or during weekdays after 4.30pm. Many Thanks, Dush
  18. Hi Davy, Thank you so much for your response. Yes I agree and I will try a different place now and replace the evaporator first and check on the joints. And what a valuable insight you have shared with me and the rest of the world. No one would imagine that an engine mount can cause these problems. Thanks a lot Davy. Appreciate it. Best Regards, Dush
  19. Hi nsiva, Thank you so much for your response. I could hear the compressor kicking in. I still didn't go to the garage but I suspect it could be the refrigerant leak as when ever they checked previously it had no gas. It kind a happens when the engine is hot and once it has happens then it wont cool even in the morning with a cold engine. Thanks a lot for your inputs. Appreciate it. Best Regards, Dush
  20. Thank you all for the responses. I appreciate it a lot. @ Mechanophiliac, thank you, could you please let me know their address and contacts? @ Member, thank you, well it happens within an hour or so, while driving you can feel you are loosing the cool and then its just like AC off.
  21. Thank you very much for the quick reply. In the first attempt it was one of the hoses (think the high pressure one which is on top near radiator). But that time they checked the evaporator as well but found no leaks. Second time they found a tiny one in the evaporator. Since it was my 3rd visit to the guarage they made sure everything is fine, did a full clean up, oiled and after testes the system with nitrogen. I was there almost entire day. And it didnt show any leaks. But here I'm again after 1.5 months and I only used the car 5 or 6 days now its not cooling. Blowing hot air. Thank you, Panadura is not near to me but I would rather go anywhere just to fix it permanently. Where about?
  22. Hi everyone, Hope you all are doing good. I'm writing this after standing many hours in AC garages during the past year many a time. Almost every 2 - 3 months. Before that for an year or so I used to keep on adding refrigerant, only twice for the year then. But now the leak has gotten worst. Last time I repaired it was not more than 1.5 months ago and still the problem is there. Car AC system leaks refrigerant. Then I stick to a single place to do every repair but still the leak is there. However they managed to find some tiny leak every time. And last time it was nitrogen pressurized and checked for leaks and it did not expose any leaks to the mechanics. And I ended up spending a lot for AC repairs thinking it will be fixed but now I'm disappointed. Its an old car, 1996 Lancer, but this is the only major problem I got. Is there anyplace you know where they will analyze the system with UV ink for checking the leaks? Or do you suspect anything, can it be the compressor? Please help. Thanks in advance, Best Regards, Dush
