  1. V30 Vista is a beautiful car, but I haven't seen one in a very long time, they seem to be some what rare. Parts are bit hard to come by including mechanical parts. Last time when I went looking for CV30 parts, some spare parts shops didnt even know the model. Petrol is either EU13(SR18) or HU13(SR20) and diesel is SU13(CD20) The CV30 Camry is diesel intercooler turbo, 2C intercooler turbo to be specific. Have driven one and can confirm its pretty quick. A small light on the instrument cluster comes on when the turbo kicks in
  2. We have a U13 Bluebird diesel, mechanical parts are available around Kandy and Kurunegala but body and interior parts are rare. We ripped off a 2.0L SSS in Japan and brought down the parts. The 2.0L SSS has different bigger brakes, slightly lower suspension, different interior with more body hugging seats, wood trim on the dash, more seat driver seat adjustments, rear seat console and brown tinted glasses. There are 1.8L SSS variants in SL but highly down any of the 2.0L made it to SL.
  3. I have seen steerings in similar condition in Skyline V36, so I assume its safe to assume that it was a common Nissan problem in this era

I'm pretty sure MCM had more to do with the E30 than Covid boom
  5. Drove a friend’s Audi A6, it’s super nice to drive but lacks a lot in terms of comfort and interior quality

What really? No way? Compared to what?  And also what gen / model year and transmission? I had an Audi A6 back in the day and to date its the second best car I have ever driven. Looking forward to the day I can afford another one...

  6. Whats the highest grade called as there? Here its called as Grande which only came with the V6
  7. Congrats on the purchase! These are very popular in Australia, I personally know someone with a unit over 250,000kms, it still runs trouble free with just regular maintenance. The one you have got here is a top spec model, most of the cars I see here arent this well specd. There was a V6 engine as well, but I have heard they are difficult to work on, maybe because its a transverse V6
  8. Fixed the original suspension back on the Crown. I can barely notice any potholes now even with low profile tyres.

  9. That makes it tough to find the ultimate car, because SL wasn't blessed with the fun variant of the JDM station wagons which could accomodate 4 adults and the 2 dogs. If the car is going to be packed only once in a while then the Carina might be a good choice In my opinion Y33 is the best looking in the Cedric line up. Thats a beauty of a car, which trim level was it?
  10. How about either a Carina GT or a Cedric Y33? Carina would be an ideal daily driver for you, heaps of parts, most mechanics would be able repair it without an issue. At the same time its heaps of fun, the 4AGE 20V will sing for days and there was a 6 forward option as well. Cedric however is a gas guzzler and it's a big land yacht. Its suited for a relaxing drive and when done right it will definitely be a head turner. There are some 170 series Crown in SL as well but i'm not sure about their price range, havent seen one for sale for a while.
  11. The previous owner wanted it back after seeing that you have restored it back or was he emotionally attached to it?

Wait what! You want to install a lift kit on a Fit?
  13. Thoughts on this comparison? Especially between Mobil 1 and Liqui Moly
  14. Happy New Year to all Autolankans! I'm surprised I made it to the list of top bloggers
  15. Go for the FD1, it has the most power out of the 3 plus it's a beautiful looking car.
  16. Did the latest episode of Grand Tour remind anyone else of Unchartered 4?

  17. Colt Ralliart, a seriously underrated car
  18. Anyone tried two different brands of tyres for front and rear? Does it upset the balance of the car around corners?

@HaeylMI'd say they're better than GT - imo.

No issue unless its an AWD vehicle. Diameters has to be equal on all 4 corners. at least that's what stated on my Vitara Owners manual. it will cause premature gear wear on Diffs.

Found a set of tyres, two Bridgestone and two Dunlops. I gave up the idea, I think I will go with a a full set of Pirelli or Contis. I currently have Goodyear Eagle F1 directional tyres, they got good grip but they are bit noisy.

  19. Those gear changes and car control, damn!
