  1. Mine, a 2016 Stingray shows a long time average of 14.9 in city traffic. This includes some short trips with less traffic during weekends. On southern highway I have obtained around 26. I normally drive at 80-90. These are from the trip computer figures.
  2. Crosswind, I also had a policy with CI for about 06 years. I also had no claims till very last year I owned that car. The only time I had to contact them was when I was rear ended by a three wheeler. It took more than an hour for the agent to arrive. However, he did not request to obtain a police report and approved 7000/- for the repair. Eventually I sold that car without doing that repair; so I don't know how the claiming process actually works. One thing I can say is their premium was considerably lower compared to other companies.
  3. I also have the same experience with my Vitz 2007 1000 CC with 74000+. Had to do a "tune up" at D1m0 early last month as the vibration issue became unbearable when stopped in traffic. Actually, it did not increase gradually but came up all of a sudden within couple of weeks time, in my case. Throttle body and injectors were cleaned, plugs were replaced and an engine/GB mount just under the battery was replaced. I was advised to replace the battery as well (as reported by a Bosch battery meter), which is just 1.5 years old. I have not done it yet as there are no other apparent problems with it so far. The situation is really really better now compared to the past, but I must say the vibration is not zero. May be I have to live with it as it is something common to these 03 cylinder engines.
  4. Currently I'm experiencing an issue with my KSP 90 Vitz (2007-1000 CC). I feel the pulling power is low. It fails climbing inclines even with two passengers onboard; cannot even get on to a kerb no matter how hard I press the accelerator. Runs fine on flat roads and no problem if I enter a climb with the momentum. Recently did a tune up at D1m0. Cleaned injectors & throttle body; replaced plugs and replaced the gear box side engine mount as well. There was a excessive vibration when stopped in traffic with breaks on & A/C on before the tune up and now it is not vibrating that much. However, there is no improvement in pulling power. CVT oil has been changed at 18000 km and now odo is around 72000. What could be the issue?
  5. BTW It costs more than that at Sp@rk EV as they told me at the exhibition (2.7 mil). I saw one up for sale for 23.5 in a famous auto site (unreg). Where did you find the price 22?
  6. Agree with this. I have seen this car very rarely on our roads compared to Leaf. The price is lower than a Leaf as well as the range; that could be a possible reason too. I checked the car at the Motor Show exhibition. The interior is not as good as a Leaf, I felt. But it is quite spacious to be used as a second car for daily office commute,
  7. Ahh I never noticed that and was thinking how to do a touch up on these textured paints. BTW, both KWID and RediGO were there in the exhibition but no Grand i10 or Kia Picanto to see. And there was a nice little electric car Mitsubishi iMIEV; looks like a Nano. Anyone using that?
  8. Saw this Nomad in the Motor Show recently. It comes in very weird colors isn't it? There was a one with nickel color (shining) as well. How about the warranty?
  9. Crosswind - Thanks. It seems I have read the wrong link. Is the agent dealing with the Indian made cars only? Is there any chance to get a made in Korea one here?
  10. Crosswind & Nishan - Thanks for your inputs. It seems it is from India, but definitely better than the Kwid and other models. EuroNCAP has given it a four star rating. NRA & iRage - Thanks for the detailed posts. Sampath - Thanks for the brochure. Did they mention about the warranty in the quotation?
  11. Anyone has experience using Hyundai Grand i10? Saw a newspaper article today stating it is coming from Korea, but it looks like an Indian make. Has lots of good features for the price as it seems.
  12. Oh! Then just load an oxygen cylinder before heading towards Piduruthalagala.
  13. Hi, First make sure where the sound originates from: If it's from the engine bay, it's due to the slack in alternator, A/C, water pump belt.Just adjust it. If it is from the silencer, then it is more or less a "lubrication" problem. There are two springs attached to the two screws fastening the silencer tube to the muffler. Just apply some oil to those two and you will be relieved. There's nothing serious with it. Have you noticed that this sound does not come for sometime after you underwash?
  14. Dear All, Recently I detected a small water leak in one of the drain pipes from the upper floor in my house. It is of very small scale , but it is leaking anyway. I could not exactly figure out from where. My question is, is there any solution that I can use to fix this without cutting and taking out the pipes and breaking the walls? I think of something like "radiator stop leak". Is anyone familiar with such solution? Thanks.
