Why don't you try looking for polyurethane bushes... for example : http://www.powerflexonline.com/ if your careful with the bushes like not spray oil on it; it should last longer than the car.. The ride feels much stiffer with them on, Plus i got it with a life time warranty.... I'm using "Prothane" bushings...

Who ever did this to the car needs to be shot!

The only reason im looking to use the none water base coolant is because it reduces the stress on the cooling system; specially on the joints for example according to Ed China you could run the car for hours and simply open the radiator cap and it wont burst out. That shows the amount of stress and pressure within the engine. My vdub even though it shows 90 of the thermo; the diagnostics shows a values of 110 which is above boiling... I am not sure how fuel is effected "not relevant coz the vehical would anyway bring the engine to its normal running temp but less stress if this product is in. Plus the added advantage of rust free internals...

jdnet is correct... i wish we had products like these in SL...

Hi Guys, I would like to known if anyone has tried the waterless engine coolant. I started looking at it after seeing Ed China from Wheeler Dealers using it in one of the vehicals he was working on, and after reading the specs of such a product "Evans" I found that the boiling point has been pushed upto 180c which in turn reduces stress on the horses in the cooling system. So I looked it up on ebay and found that 5liters is around 12-13 thousand.. Is there any dealers for such products here in SL... ???

Hi, Being a VW owner i would recommend you find a manual gearbox. The VAG auto gearboxes are problematic. Ruwan is planning to start his own gearbox repair workshop very soon, he is waiting for the equipment to arrive. but its better if u have a manual. Cheers

Its a good car. if you need parts contact Shantha, Rohantha and then eBay, a guy to maintain it speak to Ruwan. In my case, iv own my vdub for almost 2 years... spent almost the same price i bought it for... but still loving every moment with it.... recently did a trip from colombo to Arugambay and Arugambay to Pasikuda, back again to colombo on 1 full tank with 3 passengers and luggage... covered 768.5Km ##
