I don't have that one I'm afraid. It's a bit of a controversial book from my understanding and was almost banned due to perceived racism in the artwork as well as dialogues.
Two other books are Tintin and Alph Art and Tintin in the Land of the Soviets which I'd love to own. The former was never finished because Hergé passed away before that. However, the unfinished work was published as a book.
Would love to collect all three.
Do you want me to drop a message if I have seem them in Sri Lanka? i can buy it for you and keep.
Alp art is available on most stores. and Congo and Land of soviets was on a double book which i have.

I bought a few of below editions which also has actual locations of the artwork etc.
Also got most of the collection from my elder cousins passed on to me which has hard cover prints from 1970's published by Methuen.

Stay away from Amaron.
My car needs DIN 55 type low profile battery. Only Amaron batteries fit in my car, so I am totally stuck with them. Here's what happened.
I did my first battery replacement in 2013. One cell of that battery died in 2015.
I did my second battery replacement in 2015. That battery exploded in 3 months. Yes it exploded.
This time I got a warranty replacement. That one also died.
The next one died in 2018.
Now I'm on my fifth battery. Just waiting for its funeral.
Yes, all of them are Amaron.
I got my car's electrics checked by the agent because batteries keep dying. The agent confirmed that it's all fine. Then I raised this with the battery shop and they agree to fully refund me if I can get any other battery to fit in to the car. The only other option I have is to remove the battery enclosure and fit any battery, but I'm not willing to do that. So, I decided to live with Amaron.
And their whole 5-year warranty story is a farce. Warranty is only 2 years. Thereafter you get a discount if you buy a replacement even if your battery died prematurely.
On the other hand, I always used Exide with my other cars in the past. I had a dead battery just once and got a replacement. Their batmobile service is the icing on the cake.
wow that must be a headache! had the Amaron DIN55 on the previous Peugeot for 3+ years when selling. No issues though.

This LG air conditioner used for nearly 3 months now and last electricity bill unit number was 395kW. There was an increment of nearly 200 units from usual bill. Air conditioner is switched on more than 20 hrs per day. There were no power cuts during last billing cycle. Total bill was close to Rs 12000. I guess with daily use of more than 20 hrs this is pretty good. How is your experience guys? I do clean indoor unit air filter once in 2 weeks.
Mine Runs 10 hours a day and the bill was up by 3000 only. pretty decent.

HI and welcome to AL,..
What's it's mileage? The agents use 40 fully syn engine oil changed at 10k intervals.
and you have mentioned auto. make sure you maintain it as well.
Why do you need to use fully synthetic on this? on what basis are you advising ?
@Peugeot119 15W40 is more than sufficient for yours. its probably a RFN or RFR engine.
If there no history on the servicing of the AL4 gearbox. change the transmission oil as well as a preventive maintenance.

Aha...that is the 1st gen. But decent ones are pretty hard to find though...especially ones that have not had the body messed up (swapped).
True let's see what comes up on the classfields ?

Uhh....the 1st Gen Pajero ended in 1991....are you referring to the 1st Gen L040 series Pajero or the 2nd Gen V20 series Pajero ?
It would be a good option if you can find a decent unit. Being an old diesel engine there are issues that come along with that you need to make sure has been attended to or plan to attend to it. If you are actually referring to the 2nd gen, the vacuum based 4WD system needs to be checked properly too.
Also, you better check if the body and engine are legit and not swapped
Thanks need to check. I was referring to the 1st Gen which is called Palathsabha here...

hi @iRage no i did not check the forester. not a huge fan of it
Do you think its a good idea to get a 1st gen Pajero from the early 90's for about 2.5m. space is good and love the model.
any thoughts?

Thank you Davy. There is huge price gap between LG and Panasonic. Mitsubishi is too expensive. What i need is 18000btu one. Abans LG online price is 129000. Another LG one is priced at 154000 which has more features like wifi support 4 way air. Softlogic panasonic price is 199000. All comes with 1yr warranty plus 10 yr for compressor. So planned to go ahead with LG low price one. But that price is only for online purchases where it is bit messy. I called several times to online nuber and finally was able to open a job on saturday for site inspection. Hope techitian will at least come tomorrow. If we order same from close by branch price is 134000. Anyway will update later. Mitsubishi price tag was somewhere close to 220000.
I went ahead and ordered the LG 12000 one from the HO in colpetty. the sales guy told it will be quicker since i will deal with an actual person rather than a hotline. 3600 more than the online price and converted to a 60 month cc plan at 0% interest.
big difference to the panasonic range. and this comes with Dual inverter. will update the experience later on.

From personal experience a few years ago, LG (Abans) and Panasonic (SoftLogic) were the best. Have dealt with both and their after sales service is pretty good. SoftLogic was slightly better than Abans when it comes to carrying out services and maintenance.
As for brands, there's no best brand per say, I'd recommend LG, Panasonic or Mitsubishi.
With both above points, it was a few years ago and I'm not sure of the present situation.
Dual inverter is an LG specific feature at the moment from my understanding and it means that there are two inverters in series instead of one. They're supposed to be more efficient than single inverter ACs.
Last weekend was at abans to see the dual inverter AC. looks promising. What would be better for after sales and warranty claims?
Abans or softlogic? TIA
