  1. The problem with Stafford and indeed many agents are they don't follow preventing maintenance when servicing. This is all in the manual. They are content to do an oil change, undercarriage clean up, wash and vacuum and that's pretty much it. Then for example when the transmission gives an issue when fluid hasn't been changed as per the user manual, they condemn the car. The next big issues for these Civics will be the drive belt snapping. I dread to think of the repair cost for those and how the agent will manage it. Ideally these should be changed when approaching the six year mark pro-actively.
  2. I've been using brembos since my originals wore out at 20k when new. I've now done around 25k with them with mostly city driving and they are still good. Only issue is they are a bit noisier than the Oem's.
  3. Did you find a solution to your problem?
  4. Never had this issue. A couple of times when warning lights have lit up its a sign the battery is on the way out. I've changed it and no issue. Have you tried hybrid hub? Can they not do a scan and check. Also have you had a front on collision and did a repair? If so your radar sensor needs to be re-aligned.
  5. The oil leak at 40k is pretty normal. I don't service at Stafford and had the same issue sorted out. Maybe you'd better get a second opinion on the suspension? Mine is also well over 40k and is still very compliant. Could it be your new tyres are harder than the previous ones that's why it feels stiff.
  6. As someone who owned this particular model of mazda3 for almost 5 years and did over 60 000 kms I can tell you the car is bulletproof. The 1.6 MZR is very slow and not as exciting as the 1.5 sky and the gearbox is an old 4 speed auto which is a bit unrefined when thrashed. But it's solid old school tech amd won't break down unless a monkey has maintained it. All I replaced was the bumper mounts and the battery in my 5 years of ownership. That's it. I also sold it within 1 week of advertising at a profit. You are over thinking this. Get the car checked by a good mechanic and if all ok go for it.
  7. Never bottomed out yet- but be cautious when entering and exiting sloped surfaces with a full load. Though due to the potholed state of our roads these days its not the most enjoyable experience driving even in Colombo.
  8. personally I'd go for the Swift-Aqua is a smaller car and the Vitz is horrible to drive
  9. sorry to hear about it- same thing happened to me a few months ago and its quite common these days. if yours come with blind spot monitoring- each lens costs around 60K and can be found at Teck Motors.
  10. So far I havn't experienced any difficulty- on regular wear and tear items.
  11. Hi Missad On the maintenance minder would you know if the notification for drive belt change would pop up when its time to do so? I too have had mine for the same period of yours and wondering if that's going to be the next big repair.
  12. You need to be a bit more specific on the Toyota model? Mark X? Crown? Corolla? Belta?
  13. After seeing this ad, I have fond memories of my old V35 250GT skyline which I owned for over 4 years in the mid 2000's. I recall some of the commercials were very similar and went on the whole nostalgic vibe of showing previous generations of the car. Was a very nice car to drive at the time.
  14. Mine is about 40000kms and does around 9 city and upwards of 12 long distance
  15. No major differences except the 2018 hatch is made in UK and has adaptive dampers which I am not sure if the sedan has. Also i think the 2019 sedans are made in Turkey. Other than that interior is pretty much identical.
