  1. Rumesh, please read more carefully and think things through...... you will see there is no misleading going on. 1) I wrote that the Tesla and Musk have stated that the Superchargers are free for Tesla owners to use "forever". It's on the video on the previous page. This is a completely different idea from what you wrote ........"free solar energy in future". 2) The Supercharger uses a grid tied solar system so darkness and overcast days don't affect the ability to charge . Tesla reports over the course of a year, the solar canopy produces more energy than the Superchargers use so it's a 'net positive' system. 3) Your point about the potential for queues is a good one. However up to now it just has not been a problem. Even busy Supercharger stations have had enough Superchargers installed. . .
  2. You really need to look in the mirror. You have behaved like an ass throughout this entire thread. . .
  3. With grid tied home solar power systems, electric cars can be charged overnight. http://sunpoweredevs.com/ . . .
  4. Musk is a big fan of capacitors, but has said they need several big breakthroughs before they become viable. In the meantime, Tesla's next battery technology looks like it could be a combination metal air / lithium ion battery ......... http://www.greencarreports.com/news/1083705_will-future-tesla-electric-cars-use-metal-air-batteries
  5. Multiple uses of the Supercharger does not harm the Model S battery because the Supercharger computer and the Model S battery computer work together to protect the battery during charging. Also, since most Supercharger stations are solar powered, Tesla pays nothing for electricity and can provide free electricity "forever", as they have promised. The reasoning behind the Supercharger network is that most people driving long distance can drive about 3 to 4 hours before needing to stop for a break of 20+ minutes. A Tesla owner can easily start their journey in the morning at 8am, drive non-stop until lunch and charge their car while they have lunch. Then, after lunch, they can keep driving until dinner, charge their car during dinner, and keep going if they want. Potentially driving range in a day is at least 1200+ km (400+ km x 3), with no hassles or wasted time charging the car. . . .
  6. Major improvements to the Tesla Supercharger network.......
  7. Tesla has increased the capability of it's free Supercharger electric car charging stations to cut charging times in half. A twenty minute charge now gives the Model S 320km of driving range....... http://www.teslamotors.com/supercharger
  8. After one year on this thread, Monkey #2 still can't figure it out..... Q: Why do people who don't need a new car, not just place an order for a new car? A: They don't place an order for a new car because they don't need a new car. . .
  9. I never wrote that you wrote the data is invalid. I also never used the word 'compare'. Learn to read properly, instead of imagining things. And again, the CEA data from the single Fort monitoring site is used by global organizations to represent Colombo and Sri Lanka in global air pollution studies and rankings and global environmental index studies and rankings. . .
  10. Quite amazing how similar the lack of logic is with these two ...... One monkey posted that if a car is affordable, then it should be purchased (even if it isn't needed). The other monkey posted that if a car is written about or reported on ('promoted'), then a down payment should be put on it.
  11. Why do people who don't need a new car, not buy a new car, even if it is affordable? The answer is obvious, but Crosswind cannot figure it out. Hmmmmm.....maybe they don't buy that new car because they don't need a new car. . .
  12. Agreed. I think Tesla would sell in small numbers in SL, but the Nissan Leaf would sell much better. . . .
  13. It's amazing how these two posts are almost a year apart, yet these two monkeys are still thinking alike, acting alike, talking alike and writing alike. . . .
  14. Interesting article Rumesh. Thanks for posting. It hasn't been a cakewalk for Tesla either. The past year has gone quite well for them, but in previous years they've come close to death on several occasions. . .
