Ok gents, lest assume for a second that I'm going in the lowering direction. Here are my thoughts and I would love to hear your ideas as well. As I said before, the main reason I want the car lowered is because of those hideous gaps in wheel wells, plus to me the car looks shorter due to this unusual height. What I gathered about lowering is this, 1. Need to find a lowering kit.(Do I need to change the shocks as well or can everything be raised?) 2. Have to change the wheels to 18. I'd love something stock came to this model or Evo X. 3. New set of tires. If I get the above 3 right the car would somewhat look like a Lancer Ex GT. However, going further the ultimate mission would be to change the numbers (Front and rear) to RalliArt ones and fix side skirts plus spoiler. Unlike CS, these parts are super rare to find here (Not that CS parts came easy). But its virtually impossible to find those RalliArt bumpers SL. If there are any, they are exorbitantly priced. So if I'm going to all these things, its gonna be a very very expensive affair. What I wanna know, especially from @K.o.N.o.S can you really drive the car in SL roads and places without having to worry about loosing the lower parts of the car. I mean yesterday I saw that a Lancer EX almost scrape front bumper at the Nawaloka Car part while moving between floors. It has somewhat steep slope though. The other one I wanna know is the Ride comfort. Do you feel every grain of san on the road and even going over a small pot hole gives you a feeling that the car went over the Mariana Trench ?? If im gonna do this, I should do it now as my tires are all worn out. They should be changed in at least another 5,ooo kms. So I need to make up my mind soon. On the other hand would a lowered are with the same stock wheels and tires look good??

Sorry could not reply earlier. Never had time. After carefully considering the pros and cons, I gave up the idea. Also, I’m nearing the tire replacement which will put a hole in my pocket. Can’t spare money for anything else. Ima need to find a spoiler though.

Mine was done as Davy mentioned. I didn’t go to the agent for it though. Got it done at the local service station. No issue at all.

I think so, TAAS also sends their customers to a joint at Vauxhall st run by an old gentleman. Small and clean place, and I think their primary job is replacing shocks sent by TAAS . Auto Box is a big garage, they have about 6-8 car lift jacks, a wheel alignment unit, wash bay and can accommodate many vehicles at once.

U&H has two other large buildings in nearby church street which they operate as a garage. It’s name is Auto Box. I’ve obtained their services several times and can say that their work is good.

Yes Devinda, they don’t employ the person but it’s through them only he can be contacted.

Go to U&H union Place .They have a person who does wheel repairs. Very skilled guy.

Pleasure to be of an assistance ?, and really glad to hear that all is ok. Anyways this 141 AC issue is a real pain in the ass isn’t it? That much of money for the repair and things people suggest to do as low cost solutions... just baffling. Just to give you a perspective, a Japanese imported used AC compressor for the Lancer CS cost me just 8K... Total repair 15k and that’s it.

My New Ride : Mistubishi Lancer CS1 GLX (A/T) YOM 2007

I’ve used those aftermarket products on my CS many times. They do give up easily. Usually an engine mount will last about 20k kms, the bearings NSK brand will last about 25k rack ends more or less the same. Replacing rack ends is a fairly easy job and you only have to get a wheel alignment done after that. So in my experience going for after market product is ok considering the original at the agent is too damn expensive. However when it comes to engine mounts, and wheel bearings, it’s a different story, the labor cost for these are high. Also you’d have to spend a day at the garage to get it done, that’s if you are lucky. Now imagine busting engine mount, bearing and rack ends at very close intervals. You’d get fed up with the car easily. Ive experienced this at one point of my ownership of the car. The other thing is that for spares like timing belt, it’s always better not to substitute as failure could have adverse effects. If you are using the car for a longer period of time and as you say runs a lot, it would be much easier to get the following replaced with genuine ones. 1. Timing belt 2. Bearings 3. Engine mounts 4. Brake caliper pins ( you can import these from Partsouq as well) You can use recon imported part for lower arm bushes. You can buy an entire arm for like 6 - 7 k from Mahinda. These will last way more than the Tai parts. Rack end and tie rods use OEM. Since your brake caliper pins and bearings are bad , there the option for buying the entire assembly from Mahinda. That way you’ll get, fairly new discs, entire brake assembly, Genuine bearings. I’ve replaced the entire rear arm set as well as rear brake assembly, bearings and the drum set under 20k in my CS back in 2018 before I sold the car. Windscreen is the issue, insurance won’t pay for recon ones and these after market windscreens are very low in quality. BTW, is this car white white an SP number plate? -
Guys, Im thinking of lowering the car a bit as those hideous gap in the wheel well is a sore in the eye to me... Suggestions are welcome.

I can share the contact details of my trusted A/C repair place. It’s located in Pinwatte-Panadura . Workshop name is Himara Engineering, owner is Palitha and this is his mobile number (077) 753 7409. He knows his stuff and well experienced. You can talk to him and get an opinion on what needs to be done. Just give it a try, you won’t regret it.

There you go, As iRage correctly mentioned, its best to start from here. Usually the petrol filter needs replacing after about every 60,000kms (Thats what is recommended for Lancer EX). I've asked the above question from you cuz, one of my friends faced the exact same problem with his FB15 sometime back. It started with sluggish acceleration and gradually went up to a state where you had to stand on the accelerator to get the car moving at the snails pace. Changing the fuel filter and solved that issue. Cant be sure if that's the case with your car as well. But as you said if the filter hasn't been changed at all, I think its a good place to start with.

Has changing of fuel filter done on time?

That some CIA shit man, I mean the redaction of personal data ?... -
I’m sure your intentions are good as your track record here proves. But the thing is that if this is continued, it’ll be leaving room for someone with ill intentions to do the same thing and mislead the public as we’ve seen happened here before. Those incidents did not ended well for those who tried to do that. Having two profiles and concurrently commenting using both of them makes an illusion to the reader that two people share the same sentiment over something whereas in actual it is not. If I were you I’d compromise a bit and let one go. Just my humble opinion. Cheers!!!
