  1. Hey guys thank you for all your valuable replies i thought of buying a 2007 Allion 260 finally. I like the sporty looks. But now I know that a15 engine is not going to give me a sports feeling but since I use it here in Sri Lanka and also as this car is equipped with a super cvti gear box i think the engine will make me feel bigger than what it really is. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'll upload pictures but it will take some time though. I'm going to hunt for a black or pearl white G package car.
  2. I was just visiting Toyota Japan web site site over my Google chrome browser as it can translate the site in to English. I found out that they recommend unleaded regular gasoline for their cars.So I googled unleaded regular gasoline and found this site according to that site unleaded regular gasoline means 91 RON gasoline and we use 90 octane gasoline here in our country. So my problem is whether its okay to use 90 octane gasoline or is it better to use 95 octane or 92 octane?
  3. yeah that means like impossible anyway I'm so scared about car electrical stuff specially when it comes to push button start cars.
  4. One of my friends fixed a car security system with an immobilizer recently from S*N La*** and he told me they cut the original wire harness in order to connect that device and when he parked the car in his garage the engine has been started automatically and he was unable to stop it until the fuel tank was empty. Anyhow S*N La*** people have towed it to their place and repaired it for free of charge and luckily the vehicle is perfectly fine now. It's a push button start model car. SO I thought it's better not to fix any of those Chinese stuff to my valuable vehicle unless a stock branded security system from agents. Also those chaps have drilled holes in the rear bumper in order to fix sensors and the bumper is over 70k rupees according to the agents.
  5. I saw in 8 O'clock news tonight that the government has brought down some Indian leyland ac buses to start the high speed public transportation service in southern highway. A bus costs about 9.5Mils.
  6. Hey thanks for the bump to bring my post up dude have a nice day!
  7. Appreciate ya answers thank you very much bro. Hats off!
  8. hey guys I went through this site and found out that there's no proper comparison of these two models that's why I posted this. I didn't ask stupid questions like how many mpg I can get from these models and how much will these cars cost in the market I just want some help from some real owners of these cars to make a decision. The second hand value matters because last time I bought a 2005 toyota Hilux vigo 2.5l 2wd extra cab without doing my homework for 3M and then my mother and grand parents couldn't get down or get in because it came with only two doors so i had to sell it for only 2.5m. So this time I thought that I'll do my homework before spending my hard earned money. Please help me guys I really don't want to make fun of these cars or the owners or this site.
  9. Hey folks! I'm curious about these two cars. One of my friends told me that both the cars have same engines and the 2007 Premio is designed for people over 40 and Allion is designed for young people with the sporty looks. According to him allion is lil cheaper than Premio but the second hand value is lower than alion because some body parts/chrome parts or that sort of stuff are hard to find. Also I'm interested in buying one of these cars but I seriously don't know what's the best choice for our country. I'm going to sell it after 5years so it should have a good second hand value too. Experts please enlighten me. 2007 Allion 260 2007 Premio 260
  10. your father should work abroad over 3 years to Import a 10years old vehicle (From the first registered day) or 1year to import a 5 years old vehicle. Where ever the country your dada works you can import a vehicle from Japan or any other country. The documents that you need are certified copies of the passport by the sri lankan embassy in his country about 6 pay sheets and transfer sheets or something like that when he receives from there when he sends foreign currency,a letter with tp number and email or address from his company confirming his salary with the sri lankan embassy seal and also the person in your family that dada sends money's birth certificate or marriage certificate and id , bank statement saying that the your dada has sent foreign currency over 20000US$ over 3 or 1 years and another letter from the bank saying that you have over 10Laks in your bank to pay government taxes, a letter from a justice of peace confirming the relationship. Then you need auction papers of the vehicle that you are going to buy from and also two pictures of it you better talk to your vehicle importer regarding that because you really don't want the real pics first. once you have all these documents you can make a permit and when you have the permit in hand you can buy the vehicle from japan and then before shipping it you have to change the permit according to the real auction papers. First of all go to Imports and exports department and ask more details. Their web site is http://www.imexport.gov.lk/ Import taxes are calculated like this. CIF value*depreciated value of your vehicle*129% (for a gasoline car with a 1500cc engine) and the depreciated value is like if the vehicle is 5 years or older than that 30% 4.5 years 35% 4years 40% 3.5years 45% i guess Hope it helps. According to what I've heard this has been temporarily stopped but it will be started soon from next month.
  11. According to my point of view a good ground clearance for a car means the lover the car is. because the higher the car gets it's dangerous as the center of gravity goes up and the chances of rolling over is high. Also you can't drive fast. And the comfort factor is very low in high cars. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
  12. Although FB15 is comfortable it's a little lower than a swift so if you are driving in bad roads there's a possibility of scratching your undercarriage but swift has some suspension problems according to what I've heard. According to my point of view don't buy a car if your road conditions are not that good go for well maintained a 4x4 those are very hardy vehicles than cars. All types of cars except Indian and rally cars(AWD) like evo and impresa are made to drive in high ways where you don't find any obstacles like here in our country. Also don't get caught to the bad people who are going to sell you 4x4 cars of all these makes as they are very bad on fuel figures. It's best to check the under carriage before buying so that you can detect whether its a 4x4 or the undercarriage is scratched or damaged. Good luck!
  13. My mum's friend drives a Suzuki swift jeep model 1.3 engine manual. According to her it does about 15 to 17 Kms/L also it's taller than a sedan car. But the problem is it can never be compared to a Nissan fb15 in terms of comforts. The seats are very thin and the leg space is not enough for me (I'm 6ft 4 inches tall). In terms of comforts speed and handling I recommend a Nissan FB15 super saloon. It comes with Climate control AC,rear head rests and chrome knobs also 100cc higher than the ex saloon for the auto ac system. But I've heard that some of the cars which were manufactured before year 2000 had some issues with the computer processing unit or that sort of thing so better to go for a car made after year 2000. Also This car comes with a 1.3 engine and According to what I've heard Toyota alliyon 1.8 and Nissan Sunny fb15 1.5 does better fuel figures than their 1.5 and 1.3 editions. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
  14. According to my Importer the CIF value of a 2002 cr42 is about 6.5Laks in Sri Lankan rupees that includes shipping and handling charges. And the tax for the vehicle is 6laks as it's 9 years old. All together 1.25M. Please correct this if this is wrong.
  15. super saloon 1) abt 100cc difference in the engine for the auto ac 2) Auto ac 3)head rests for the back seat 3)arm rest in the middle of the back seat
  16. According to what I've heard,Toyota 2c turbo engine(molli engine) wears up before the normal engine(non turbo engine). Can you tell me the millage on your clock? Does it burn engine oil? Do you see an excessive amount of carbon coming out of your exhaust pipe?
  17. For your information my dad sold our 2002 fb15 with almost 40k in the clock for 1.9M in 2010 April. And my friend told me that his car is abt 1.7M (ae110 diesel)
  18. Hello there! My father had a 2001 nissan fb15 ex saloon 1.5L for over 5 years. We bought it from Ishara Traders Union place. It had about 17k on it's clock when we first bought it in 2005. We never replaced any parts of the car and we never experienced a flat tire. Our spare wheel was never used. It's a comfortable car for tall people ('I'm 6ft 4 inches and my father is 6ft tall) Anyhow we had a few cons too. When we sold it in year 2010 it was giving sounds from the cv joints and the back seat is not that comfortable as the ex saloon comes without rear head rests. Anyhow it was my fathers lucky car and he still regrets for selling it. I also like the handling and the comforts and the European looks of the car('Totally my idea:)). My best friend has a toyota ae110 (I'm not very sure about the model number) It's a 97 diesal 2 L automatic. His dad used it since 2000 (a permit car) and now my friend uses it. It's a very economical car but as a tall person I don't find it much comfortable. The engine was over hulled after about 170k on the clock now it has over 3k on the clock. The gear box is changed recently and I must say spares are very cheap( the auto gear box was only about 45k from kurunagala) As a tall person I love fb15 but as a student with a low fuel budget me and my friend love the Toyota too. Hope this helps. (Sorry Toyota owners if I hurt your feelings, this is not a comparison between Toyota and Nissan. This is just my point of view. Please correct me if I'm wrong)
  19. Thank you for your valuable opinions. My father's previous vehicle was a hilux vigo and we sold it for 25.75K. There's another thing that I would like to know. My auto importer told me that he can bring down a good cr42 with 100% body condition and then an engine overall should be done here. Is it a good idea? I'm so confused right now. It's true that the Toyota alion is a good car but in my case I use the vehicle than my father so my fuel budget is very low. That's why I prefer a diesel. But I have never used a van before as our previous vehicles are all gasoline cars and diesel cabs with low mileages. I've never have used a vehicle with a repaired engine.
  20. Thank you for your responses. Those are very valuable to me.
