    Road from Kandy to Tangalle

The two options shown in Google Maps when Kandy and Tangalle is punched in are basically the same you've listed except the second one goes through Weeraketiya after Embilipitiya instead of Angunakolapelessa. There's a significant difference in distance between the two where the expressway is about 50km more than the other route, but just over half an hour quicker. Directions Here You can go to Street View and check the condition of the roads (example), but when I checked, some of the images were from 2015, so it might be different now.

Honda Ek3 interior person near Malabe

Hi Rajith, Welcome to the forum. What sort of work do you need to get done? Interior work, unless something like wiring or electrical which is specific to a model, is quite generic. If you want interior trims or upholstery repaired, any good upholsterer should be able to do it for you. So which is it?

Axio 141 - Shocks or springs?

Yeah sounds like the front right shock has reached the end of it's lifetime. There used to be suspension testing places around Hyde Park, but I'm not sure if they are still operational. You could get a suspension test done before taking them out for replacement. If and when you decide to go for new shocks, and when you have the old shocks out of the car. Measure the front ones from top to bottom to see if there is a difference in length. If there is, when the coil spring is separated, measure just the coil springs from end to end to make sure they are equal length. If not, you might have to replace the coil springs as well although highly unlikely. You can just replace the fronts for starters.

    Nissan Presea

It's X amount of kilometers or X amount of months - whichever comes first. In your case, the X amount of months has come first. So do the service. Engine oil breaks down over time regardless of usage. In a humid country like Sri Lanka, the impact of humidity on oil is higher.

Our new car! Thanks alot guys!!

lol Didn't say you did mate. I just warned OP in case he was anticipating on fixing a random exhaust that made it sound "better". I've seen a Swift like this in the country (may have been a Japanese one, but should be a direct fit to the Indian one as well) with a Swift Sport bodykit (may have been just the rear bumper to accommodate the exhaust) + alloys + twin tip exhaust. Sounded pretty nice. It was a black one with KN plates if I remember correctly.

Our new car! Thanks alot guys!!

Congratulations and happy motoring! While I like to corrupt you with suggestions for exhaust mods, keep in mind that the traffic police has recently gone paranoid with regard to exhaust mods in particular. But you should be fine as long as you don't install a fart cannon causing the car to sound excessively loud.
  7. Have ordered from both websites without any issues.

Lancer Box Vs Nissan B11 !!!

Holy thread resurrection batman! Guys please be mindful when responding to old threads. This one is 10 years old. If you are responding to ask a question in an old thread, that is fine. But please check the date before commenting.

    Project Moggie - Mechanical Work

Ah the good old days with pumping the brake pedal. I learnt to drive the same way too. When I first got to drive a car with servo assisted brakes, I applied the same force on the brake pedal and thought the brakes were binding because all four wheels would lock up. I assume you wouldn't be driving the car on a daily basis nor will you be doing frequent long trips, so as long as you are vigilant and have experience driving with this sort of brakes, you should be alright.

Grey dust-like substance under the gear lever

If the shifter mechanism has a plastic frame with nylon bushes in them, then black dust is pretty common as the nylon bushes wear out.

    Vibration at High Speeds

Your front wheels are probably out of balance. Get them balanced and get the wheel alignment checked. This is the first thing you should do before proceeding with anything else. Wheels are balanced by pasting small weights on the inner side of the rim. Sometimes these weights fall off and cause wheels to go off balance. As for experiencing the issue after switching to alloys, this raises a few questions. 1. Are the alloys reconditioned or brand new? 2. What's the brand? Inferior alloy wheels can cause all sorts of suspension and alignment issues. 3. How many kilometres do you have on your current set of tyres? If you used the same tyres from the original rims on the alloys, that too can be an issue depending on how old the tyres are and if the alloys rims are of a different width from the stock ones.

Need Few Parts for my Nissan Sunny B310

Hi Fazal, Glad to see a car being owned by one family for 40 years. May I ask what's wrong with the body parts you've listed? If the bumpers have just a few dents and dings on them, I suggest keep them. You are unlikely to find bumpers in better condition IMO given the age of the car. Same goes for body panels. Unless they are too far gone, your best bet is to try and restore them. There are places that do electroplating. So you can straighten the bumpers out and have them chrome plated and they'll look brand new. Have you tried searching for parts in salvage yards in Panchikawatte? Not even sure they exist anymore, but many years ago there were so many late 70s and 80s cars there brought to be stripped for parts. Also Kurunegala area. The road that goes from Ambepussa to Alawwa has a couple of salvage yards and I remember some of them having parts for cars such as yours. In any case, you will have to do some searching. Good luck!

Toyota vitz 2018 - High speed radiator fan

Does the fan work at max speed when the engine is cold (i.e in the morning) and AC switched off? The cooling fan works at max speed when AC is switched on irrespective of the engine temperature. The fan works in harmony with the AC compressor, turning on and off alternatively. If that's the behaviour you're experiencing, then it's normal. As for the noise, have you checked if one or more of the plastic fan blades have a crack or chip on them? Fans can make excessively loud noises when they're out of balance. The other thing might be a missing engine cover or bonnet insulation. On a new car, I hardly think any of this could be the issue. So as others have said, compare it against a similar car.

    Toyota Premio User Manual

    Topics merged. Thanks @kusumsiri.
  15. The answer to this question is that it depends from vehicle to vehicle. The best thing to do is to read your owner's manual and check the service schedule set by the manufacturer. The schedule specifies everything such as how often you should replace fluids, filters, belts and attend to tyre rotation, valve clearance adjustment and so on. If you don't have the owner's manual (which is typical for most cars in Sri Lanka because people put it in their bedroom cupboards like gold jewellery without having it in the glove box of the car and passing on to the subsequent owners, or because it's a JDM vehicle), try finding one online.
