  1. Wow... I don't have the time or energy to read through that post, but it clearly looks like some damaged person. I don't understand how one can be so envious of migrants when the world is a much much different place from 50 years ago. Back in the day, you'd get the same kind of hate if you leave your village and go to Colombo to find a good job/live a better life. The same thing is happening now in an international level, so haters gonna hate hate hate.
  2. Sharing this information on the EX thread as requested by @trinity on this thread.
  3. There's one for sale in Australia right now for 600K AUD with just 13,000km on the ODO. https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2002-nissan-skyline-gt-r-m-spec-nur-bnr34-manual-4wd/SSE-AD-6793939 Saw the ad a couple of days ago and cried myself to sleep. 600K AUD = 80,000,000 LKR
  4. Why most people do this kind of thing is as a result of failing to find body parts after a collision. 70s and 80s body parts are hard to come by, so unless the owner is an enthusiast and willing to track down or import body parts, they'd just use whatever they can find to keep the car running. Even if it looks hideous ☹️
  5. Wow this was a long time ago. It used to be called SHA Auto Spa or something back then, and I remember the business changing hands and going through a rebranding several years ago. I just checked on Google StreetView and it seems to be called Senu Lanka. Not sure of their quality now or if they do painting at all.
  6. Thanks! Someone please take my turn. Quite busy today.
  7. Happy anniversary Mr. @Sylvi. May you both have many more happy years together!
  8. The sticker on top of the rear (now front) windscreen - that makes even more sense.
  9. Saw this on YouTube today and wanted to post here only to realise you've shared the news already! ? *** heavy breathing... ***
  10. What exactly are you looking for? If you want body parts and other used/reconditioned Spares, call BJ Auto Parts on 077 583 7847. They are importers of used parts for the Mazda BJ series.
  11. A quick Google search reveals that the two part numbers are interchangeable. The 301 is probably a revision of 300. So you can use either. What's the issue with your distributor? I f the cap is cracked or something, you can just purchase the cap instead of the whole unit.
  12. Threads merged. Thanks for flagging @kusumsiri!
  13. Transmission oil is intentionally made the translucent red using a dye that fades over time. This is so that visual inspection can be done against a gauge to determine if the fluid needs replacement. Just by looking at how dark (almost black) the fluid is, one can easily tell that it's well past its usable life. Unless there's excessive wear in the transmission, you're not going to find any visible particles in the fluid. But this doesn't mean the fluid has lost it's viscosity or heat absorption properties. If you leave a half empty can of engine oil on a shelf and inspect the colour after 10 years, it would look exactly the same as the day the can was first opened. But the oil would have degraded (due to contact with moisture and general breakdown) well past its usable condition.
  14. Hi Leelaratne, welcome to the forum! I have moved your pot out of the other discussion for clarity as the previous issue is still unresolved and might cause confusion among readers. 1. I would assume the max capacity is 100 2. I believe that's the front passenger seat side airbag. The fist thing to check is if the wiring under the seat is disconnected or improperly connected. If the seats were taken out at some point to lay carpet or do an interior clean or something, the connector may have not been plugged back in properly. So that's the first thing to check. Clear the code and see if the airbag light comes on again.
  15. The tensioner on the 4G1 series engine is sealed and cannot be rebuilt. The racer is integrated to the chassis of the tensioner, so it needs to be replaced.
  16. Hi Nipun, welcome to the forum. These cheap ELM327-like OBD scanners are a hit or miss because different scanners support different communication protocols. On top of that, since you have the OBD to OBD II converter, the data stream it outputs might not be compatible with your OBD II scanner. Which app/software are you using? And do you have specs of the OBD to OBD II converter and the OBD II scanner itself?
  17. That's right! Over to you @Gummybr.
  18. That obvious huh? But quite a few hours, yet no one has made any guesses.
  19. Thanks! Very similar to what iRage shared.
  20. Haha! I thought the fuel cap would narrow it down to a Toyota. The same one came on the KE30/KE50 sedan as well. The Datsun 240Z/260Z/280Z has the fuel cap higher on the C-Pillar.
  21. So not a Corolla AE86/Levin?
  22. Correct! Wasn't aware it belongs to an AutoLankan. It's a stunning car. Love the stance and the Watanabes. The side stripe does have an SR-5 sticker on it as well! I saw somewhere that it's one of two cars in the country. Over to you iRage!
