  1. Awesome stuff Sumiya! Looks like the body is finally in shape. Would love to see photos from you more often.
  2. When you press the clutch pedal, the clutch is separated off the flywheel by applying pressure through the pressure plate. One key component that helps apply pressure is the clutch release bearing (or release fork). Pressure is mostly applied on the release mechanism while the clutch pedal is pressed, so the sound being emitted could also be because of a worn out release bearing. The lack of pulling power is probably because your clutch is also worn out. As The Don has stated above, the gearbox needs to be taken down to do a complete examination and is pretty straightforward to a competent mechanic.

Good news!... Good luck on season 2 and all throughout the series!
  4. Congratulations again machang. She really is a beauty. I can only imagine the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai moment... Some pics of the motor please?
  5. Woah! You finally bought it? Congrats man! Waiting for the new thread!
  6. You're most welcome machang! Comparing to the state the lights were in, I'm also quite happy with how they ended up after the cleanup. Can't wait to see how everything turns up. Keep us posted!
  7. Hmm, I see. I understand that the space between the door and the scuff plate is really narrow, I just thought one of those LED stripes would fit it without an issue. As for having to route the wire through the conduit - That'd be quite a bit of work I guess. Anyway, good luck with this, and I for one would like to see the outcome.
  8. Good idea by the way. But I think it would be better if you can attach them somewhere underneath the door itself (on the inside, towards the inner panel). That way: - You'll not accidentally damage them whilst washing the car and so on. - You can shine the light to a broader range just by moving the door. - You can easily access to the door switch wiring Just my 2 cents.
  9. Please tell me that's not a real Bimmer.

    Please search the forum. http://forum.autolanka.com/topic/14717-vehicle-id-no-longer-issued/
  11. Watched Argo myself and I was at the edge of the seat during the last 30 minutes. Good movie indeed.
  12. Spotted at Malabe. A legit Willys MB! (The second one I've seen in SL)
  13. Probably a lose connection somwehre IMO. This is what you can try doing first: - Check if the issue persists for other components (headlights, horn, audio system etc.) as well, if yes, check the battery terminals. - Pull out the fuse(s) related to the issue and put it back in to see if that helps. - Carefully take the gauge cluster out and tighten the sockets which are connected to it. If the above doesn't solve the issue, you might have to take the car to a good electrician.
  14. Many happy returns of the day MD! Hope you have a good one!
  15. I have to agree. The tail lights that were fitted onto my Lancer A72 wagon were also locally made ones. They were pretty clean, and held up for a long time (about 8 years or so) without starting to fade.
  16. Jaliya, hope you saw this: http://forum.autolanka.com/topic/14787-looking-for-a-lancer-rear-light/#entry231654 Hope you still have your old tail lights with you.
  17. Actually stunned by how perfectly it has been done. The Don is absolutely right! Thanks for sharing the pics mate.
  18. And not forgetting the fellows who have Bob Marley and Che Guevara mixed up... You serious? Hahahaha!
  19. TownAce with custom TOYOTA badge made using letters from an ACTYON (sorry for the blurry photo). Need I say more about this?
  20. Interesting... Care to share a photo please?
  21. I was going to suggest Surgical Spirit because it's safe on most surfaces. But this also would make the dash go dull. You'd have to use some sort of dashboard polish to restore the shine. Do a spot testing first. If your dash has a rough texture, you might have to use an old toothbrush. As for the gauge cluster, use light duty 3M rubbing compound on a microfiber cloth and be really gentle.
