Both Toyota And Honda have pretty reliable Hybrid systems. if you ask me to choose i would go with the Toyota. My girlfriend owns a Civic hybrid and its been running great except for the Cvt transmission vibration (if you get regular transmission flushes with Honda CVT Fluid this problem will come in at higher mileage). on the other hand Toyota, i haven't heard anything wrong with their system. i have seen a Camry hybrid taxi with 280,000 Miles in Washington D.C with still original parts until this day. i have also seen quite a few Prius's making up to 200,000 mile mark. if you look at statistically, battery failures in hybrids are very low. All batteries reduce its capacity and eventually fail. Longevity of the battery depends on the weather, how often you drive the car and the luck.

i usualy go with the compression test. sometimes mileage is just a number, it totaly depends of how you drive and maintain the vehicle. i have seen 200k mile cars run better than 100k mile cars.

My Girlfriend has one but not it Sri Lanka. She have done 80k miles and very happy with it. if you buy one please do some regular CVT flushes with Honda CVT fluid to keep the system clean because they are very sensitive and tend to give problems down the line if not maintained well.

use the ripper's Diagram get a 4 prong Relay and you should see 85,86,87 and 30 written in the prongs wire from the cabin switch goes to the 86 prong on the relay ground goes to the 85 wire from 30 to the (+) battery terminal and put a 20 amp inline fuse in between run a 87 to the fog lights

for how long you haven't changed your spark plugs? i would change the spark plugs if it due for it. if the problem continues you have to see a spark leak either from the wires or the coil it self. i can give you a better answer if i know this: do u have just one coil or you have a coil for each cylinder? do you have a check engine light on?
