  1. Thanks, i took a good care of it. it was a sunshine state this winter in virginia but other winters not so lucky.
  2. I changed the timing belt on my very first car. My aunty bought this car back in 1991 and i bought it as my very first car and i fell in love with it and decided to never sell it. For the past 10 years and 90k miles i have procrastinating my timing belt change. Finally my Water-pump decided to go out on me so i changed the water pump, timing belt, idler pulley, tensioner pulley, and all the seals after 21 years and 150k miles (241km) of driving. i was going to do a DIY for you guys but after my camera was covered with grease and not having extra set of hands didn't help, so i said heck with it and continued my project. I do apologize for that. Car: 1991 Toyota Camry with 3SFE engine, 150K miles. Original everything except Shocks, Radiator, CV joints, valve cover gasket and now water pump etc... Engine before removal i use the break-a-bar and the starter motor to remove the crank bolt (21 years of bonding couldn't break with just a ratchet 150k Mile/21 year old belt
  3. yes we really do need them. if you compare gasoline engines vs hybrids; hybrids are economical, environmentally friendlier and better power output. Between Hybrids vs diesels eventhough its not a good comparison; diesels might offer better mpg but still it produces way more soot to the environment. Hybrid systems are still evolving and ill bet its going to be future of cars.
  4. change your cabin filter and there are lot of products that disinfect that are safe like lysol.
  5. you can always can clean the IACV and see whether there are any improvements.
  6. its good and bad the good: it cleans out the engine allowing itself to lubricate more efficiently the bad: First, all the loosen sludge could clog up the pick up screen and it could lead to oil starvation. second cleaning chemicals are not the best stuff for any seals and gaskets that might end up leaking specially on high mileage vehicles. what you have to do is to determine how badly sludged up your engine. if its just a little bit of sludge i would upgrade to better motor oil with higher detergent or run a flush which you might take a gamble on rubber parts. picture above is my Dads van. it was sludged up so bad not even a flush couldn't remove all the sludge. so i removed both valve covers, removed the pan, scooped all the sludge out, got a brush and start washing out with a Heavy duty parts cleaning chemical. cleaned the oil pan/ pick up screen, put everything back together with new gaskets and seals. After in another sludge victim 1mzfe Engine i took the heads off and gave it to a shop that cleans in a chemical/steam dip. heads came out like brand new and followed the exact process of oil pan etc......
  7. thank you, i hope your buddy have recoverd well.
  8. i see that you are not only a cheapo but also a full blown homosexual. i will have fun crashing bikes because its part of riding motorcycles eventhough you never predicts it. next time please use gloves and maskes when you handling chemicals because we really dont wanna hear how stupid someone can be.
  9. more likely its your throtle position sensor but i cant say it until i see it or get a better discription of whats happening.
  10. you make me laugh man. you are one of the biggest PMS vagina's i have seen. have you checked between your legs lately? real men don't talk shit. this whole post you are just rewording the exact things i said. real men gives constructive criticism not your smart ass stupid comments. you are a woman if you haven't notice, because women go all over to prove a stupid point.... brakes, bikes, cafe racers bla blaa bla bla who gives a ......... i say: always change your oil on time with good quality oil. you say:The better solution for sludge prone engines is to combat the sludge by doing more frequent oil changes i say:Change your PCV valve every year you say:If you were to say "you should clean it out every year as preventative maintanence" then I would agree thank you for making my boring day fun day while making your self an idiot.
  11. i hope you are doing ok after all that broken bones. thank god i never had broken bones after so many crashes, worst i got was roadrash till i see the bone. i hope you didn't give up riding and i hope you also have fun and stay safe.
  12. just like Sylvi said, it has to be the bearing or low on oil. i dont know whether its available in Sri Lanka but there are kits that you can charge oil with a can.
  13. yesterday i took my baby out on the curvy roads. leaned too much to the left and i low sided the bike on the left and regained traction and high sided it and went down on the right. this is the very first crash ever i am happy after a crash. First i am ok without any injuries, second my bike should have been destroyed but it didn't. To all the sport bike riders always get good safety gear and get longer frame sliders on your bike. I regret not having my camera on otherwise it would have been a an awesome clip.
  14. Toyota sludge prone engines first thing that clogs up is the PCV valve and rate of slugging up accelerate through the roof when the pcv is clogged. Don't try to be a smart ass if you are being such a cheapo. By cleaning the PCV how much money are you gonna save? who said pcv vales gets destroyed every year? i said "change the PCV every year", because you want to change or clean(whatever rocks your boat) before it gets clogged up. you must be few of those people clean the air filter and keep on reusing for years just to save a penny. cleaning and changing the PCV has the same outcome which is keeping it from clogging. You are talking shit for the sake of talking shit!!! Do us all a favour and keeep your bullsh*t to yourself ok?
  15. i am not a american truck guy but i really want to get in to the american trucks specially the old Chevy trucks.
  16. low riders cant be driven without scraping in some of the best of the best roads, so most of them have Air suspension to increase ground clearance.

    Smoked Headlights

do the sense spray paint and upgrade to HIDs. HIDs produce less heat and they are brighter. i have tried that on my brothers motorcycle and he 50k miles on that thing in two years mainly commuting at night
  18. All i have seen from Watchman is talking shit. what do you expect from a such a low class man or a woman
  19. Toyota Sienna and a Avalon, Both shares the 1MZFE 3.0L V6 engine.
  20. Toyota did few mistakes around 1998-2003. first, they made the engine run little hotter to meet the emission requirements. second, they made the oil passages smaller . To keep it simple IF THE VEHICLE IS MAINTAINED ACCORDING TO THE TOYOTAS RECOMENDED INTERVALS you will never have a sludge issue. always change your oil on time with good quality oil. Using engine flushes will clean the engine but its not the best stuff for your rubber seals and gaskets. Change your PCV valve every year. my dads van thats not maintained well by the previous owner picture below is my car with the same engine that's always been maintained every 5k miles with good quality oil

    Plugs

its the same plug and the the number part represent the heat rating. there wont be any difference in fuel economy at all. It will make a difference in longevity of the plug if you run your engine at higher rpms but if you are doing normal driving there wont be any deference. NGK wires are pretty good wires.
