  1. Ha ha.. Hope he is not going to use them on the Harrier. I haven't seen anyone using General for on-road use. Mostly seen people using X3 & AT series.
  2. What on earth this person is thinking?? ?‍♂️
  3. I thought coil-overs are nothing but spring and shock in one unit things. Sorry, not much mechanical knowledge.
  4. I don't know for cars, but for SUVs there are adjustable shocks to adjust for most comfortable on road and desert racing type of situations. I can't say more as I haven't installed them yet, just ordered and waiting for delivery.. LoL.. Just wanted to say if there's anything similar for cars would be perfect.
  5. Would you check with Gunawardana Cushion Works at Wijerama if they have any upholstery guy that they recommend? Yes, as far as I know Gunawardana Cushion Works does not do upholstery work but I bet they have some some contacts as many restoration people go there for multiple things. They are very nice people, especially the elderly original owner.
  6. Looks like since the production has stopped for Demon, people ask over $100K for used..?
  7. I guess you were thinking about the Demon. The 840HP one that only offered couple of years. The dealership near my work place had a mark-up price over MSRP and I remember it was just over 100K.
  8. Meanwhile in the USA.. (Yes, may not be relevant to us in SL. But sharing to anyone who likes regardless the location) https://www.cnbc.com/2020/08/17/ram-1500-trx-fiat-chrysler-unveils-702-horsepower-hellcat-pickup.html
  9. engine oil leaks and power steering failure at 20,000kms? Something is not right here. I beat the crap out of my old Viva 660cc manual and Viva Elite 1000cc manual and never had issues at the time I sold both.
  10. I was not a big fan of the 4 speed automatic. The 6 speed automatic on newer Rav4 was good. No experience with any issues.
  11. full time connected to the OBD2 port. If you need to access OBD2 while this is connected you could buy a splitter cable.
  12. Honestly I don't know the exact limits of the bluetooth one. However now I have wired one from Autel and this is a comparison they have about some of their product line up. (Sorry I don't know if this support Vitz and how to get these down to SL as I got from US) Also I use another OBD reader called ScanGuage permanently fixed on my car to read live data and it can read basic codes and clear.
  13. This is what I used with my android phone. Does not work for iPhones. It worked on many Toyota and Honda vehicles but haven't tested on Vitz. The app I used is Torque Pro. I got that scanner more than 10 years ago from ebay and I bet there will be better ones now. It use to stop responding sometimes when using in live data mode. But to check codes it works.
  14. I was surprised that is it our Thero who taught my friend how to pop the hood (or bonnet) on his brand new BMW X5. He didn't know that you have to pull the latch twice to pop the hood. He is probably the only Thero I know who knows alot about cars.
  15. TRX vs Raptor battle is quite different from Powerwagon right? Powerwagon would be for slow rock crawling type of offroad with solid axles and locking diffs vs TRX and Raptor for fast driving offroad with IFS for better handling. It would be a very competitive battle as Dodge has more engine power vs raptor has crazy suspension tech. I don't know of Dodge having high speed suspension tech as raptor has.
  16. Not much a fan of Jeep Gladiator machan. I don't see much practicality on that. I prefer Jeep Wrangler over Gladiator. But if I need a truck that is good offroad I like take the Ram Powerwagon over Gladiator .
  17. I haven't search much on reliability machan but believe it would have good reliability. However I've seen 2 videos where Ridgeline overheated while off-roading. I bet Ridgeline would have much better ride than others due to its construction. I don't think people will use Ridgeline as hard as other trucks. I could be wrong but I prefer to have a truck frame and solid axle for hard use vs the car base chassis and independent suspension Ridgeline has.
  18. You think Tacoma is stronger than Hilux? I don't know I was never a fan of American made vehicles and love the Hilux more.. Me personally love the Tundra over Tacoma as I've seen few million miles Tundra on the internet. I do have few complains on its driving characteristics but overall nice truck. But as for heavy duty work I doubt it can beat Ford / Chevy/ Ram in the same class. As for the Honda Ridgeline, One of our family friend bought and told me "American wahana gannawata wada hondai Japan wahanayak ganna eka neda". I smiled and said nothing. Didn't want to destroy their happiness telling them that Ridgeline is the second most American vehicle. Even the Corvette seem to have less components from US than the Ridgeline.
  19. Is there anything different than styling between Subaru BRZ vs Scion FRS vs Toyota GT86? I've only experienced Scion FRS. That time interior was pretty basic and when I saw the GT86 at the dealership the interior seems to have improved.
  20. Haaa haaa.. No it's really not mine..??
  21. Did you guys see the 2013 Toyota Gt86 TRD ad today on AL? I love to see that. I have driven the same model and it was fun. Subaru 2L non turbo engine with RWD was definitely fun. (WHY THIS GUY IS TALKING ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE'S AD? | I just love that car when I drove it. Yes it not that fast, but it was a fun feeling every time I step on the gas at low gears.) (Did not use the pic from the AL ad as it might be against the policy)
