Very valid point. For me personally they don't have realistic range and charging options. (in addition to lack capability on rough terrain as of now). If they build a capable vehicle with good electric range and have good infrastructure for charging for the same price as gas vehicles I'm more than happy to move to an quiet electric vehicle.

No machan, I only installed the bulbs. HID inside projector low beams and LEDs on reflector highbeams and fogs. Whole headlight assembly with new bulbs would be the best but not affordable. In city I only use HID low beams. So far no trouble.

If you are talking about 75 halogens, I have been there. Don't upgrade to higher wattage Halogens. KE72 on my pic has 100W halogens and it was lot of work. New wiring + new alternator + bigger battery. Don't do it..!! I have even tried high light out put halogens. But Halogens are no match for LEDs or HIDs. Good set of LED would be your easiest solution. Simple plug and play. No electrical upgrades needed, Also with my experience LEDs perform better on reflector headlights and HIDs work best on projector headlights.

Wow, there's no way.. If that's real that would be the luckiest ownership. That would be a dream to own classics like this. 40s, 60s, 80, etc..

Yes yes, I meant to say 2.8 TD been newer engine after the 3L ones. Didn't check the specs on the new tune on those but I heard the new 2.8TD on Hilux got more power than the 4.5 single turbo on the LC70. Not sure, just heard.

Prado is a very good setup imo. That 2.8 turbo diesel with a 180L fuel tank. I heard the 2021 Hilux has the 2.8 with a retuned motor producing more hp compared to the previous 2.8 turbo diesel right out the door. You can also get an optional rear locker right? Also KDSS. Really really nice setup. This beauty belongs to my buddy. 2018 with newer 2.8 turbodiesel: Update- Just wanted to tell the reason I'm talking about fuel tank capacity is the fuel range. I have some what range anxiety and prefer vehicles with good range. There are many times I have refuel from the nearest gas station before entering to a trail.

I think that is on the cheaper side of RVs (with basic 4wd). This talk came up since we are not comfortable booking hotels now due to Covid-19. We are soo Sri Lankan, after our forest trips we stay in a hotel where we can use good washrooms with water. Just wiping is not our style. We like to use water and keep things clean..?

Ha ha.. Sure LC200 is best on road. I can only go up to a LC200 and G-wagon is out of my income level. No way unless I sell my house and decide to live in the G-wagon.?? Talking about living in a vehicle my wife wants Mercedece Roadtrek CS Adventurous 4x4 RV for our trips and I'm completely against that idea. As for IFS, I still stand IFS fail off-road. LC200 with no lockers will contribute to that even more. I think I've already told you last time when we chat I'm thinking to get HD axles to help a little bit but still I'll be careful with IFS. That's why I was thinking to trade and buy a Wrangler. As for what we have here in US if I buy a dedicated off-roader that would definitely be a solid axle front and rear. Here's a good example from 4WD action / 4WD 24x7 how weak IFS would be. Wheel articulation also a down side of IFS.

iRage should be lucky than us to have turbo diesel machan. 2.8 turbo diesel on the prado, 4.5 v8 single turbo on LC70 and 4.5 v8 twin turbo on LC200. Here LC200 specs are pathetic. Starting from 24gal fuel tank for a 5.7L V8 petrol..(even the 4runner 4L got 23gal tank even I still complain about it vs you can get 47.5 gal (180L) on Prado and LC. Even though LC200 got a bigger body it got a fraction smaller tires than a baby 4runner resulting less ground clearance. So when you want bigger tires you probably should go for a body mount chop.

I don't know about this graphite coating thing. But outside of SL Bosch Icon are the best wiper blades I've used. It cleans water really well and that mist kind of thing (after the water is wiped off) disappears in no time. I've used other wiper brands and this mist kind of thing stay bit longer and annoying when driving at higher speeds. Even though its not relevant for us in SL, this wiper model was good on snow as well. The rubber compound doesn't get harder and still wipes pretty well at lower temperatures.

For regular driving I like white. I don't have anything fancy. This is just swapped my halogen fog light bulbs to Led bulbs. Gives me a good wider view. However in future I would go for a combination fog light assembly from after market company like Baja Design where they have wide + driving lights all in one fog. Plus they have easy swappable yellow lens. (Had to reduce the quality due to file size restriction)

There are youtube channels like AussieFourWheelers that do insane off-roading with Nissan Patrol. I won't ruin your excitement, you'll thank me. When I started watching them I checked if I can get similar here to buy new from Nissan / Infinity, but negative.. Not even close. Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and Ram Powerwagon are the only ones. Toyota here is no match.

Love how it looks. Would you put skinny tall tires or put wider tires? I have a feeling if you put wider tires it will kill the engine power. I've seen many say there are lots of benefit with skinny tall tires. Me personally have used wider tires for the looks on my vehicle but will look to reduce the width and go little tall when its time for tires next.

I thought 70 is better because of solid axles & lockers vs 200 does not get lockers and its IFS? 200 only got brake based A-trac and crawl control right? If you off-road with it you would over heat the brakes and IFS won't be strong as solid axles right? I personally just like to use lockers vs A-trac. Again I'm just a beginner not a pro to give solid statements on this.

Is it the soccer mom's Land cruiser 200 or the proper off-roading Land cruiser 70 tops the sales? I could be wrong, just searched for sales stats in Ausi. Please correct me if I'm wrong. As per my old colleagues they prefer much stronger older 80 series and newer 70 series vs 200 series.

I'm pretty sure they are just 33" tires. Forgot to look at the exact size. If I'm not mistaken the brand was General Grabber. Just took a quick pic before the owner comes "oi oi.." Wheels are Black rhino Armour in Desert sand. We have an agent nearby called Toytec, they sell and install them. They are like all around 4x4 shop who do from wheels to suspension to super chargers for Toyota.
