  1. So for the heck of it I went in the morning today to convert my license to the new one. LKR 750 for the Medical check. Would you beleive it, yours truly failed the medical check.. :) All those beers and BBQs are catching up on me... the good pretty government doctor told me to come again after reducing my pressure... :) I wont mind, was a bit of a hottie and I am wondering whose pressure went uip and when i raised my shirt to show her my rock hard abs... ;)

(she asks you to raise your shirt and show her your abs, left your pants up and show her your knees and all kinds of other wiered shite... :))

As for my High BP, getting a second opinion as I am seriosly suspiicious of the way they checked for BP.

If you guys go, get there by 7am, wait in line, the security officer will ask you to come for the medical inside after 7am and forma queue, DO NOT WEAR shoes, just flip flops would do as they will ask you to remove them when you enter and its a hassle to keep them outside, wear a T shirt and a loose pair of pants as they ask you to show your knee flexibility.

Do not take anything other than your wallet, ID and old license. No phones allowed insed as well. They ask you to switch them off if you do have.

Also if you suspect of having BP or such, make sur eyou take your meds and go, they check for your Blood sugar so make sure you have a good breakfast and go.

    I know.. Sri Lanka... :)

Also, be preapred to sit there and wait tiil 12noon or after to get your license.

And mind you, most if not all staff are rude bastards. The only time in their pathetic lives they get to show some authority to people and they treat you like shite. Imagine, being shouted at while your pants are raised knee high, shirt raised chest high and you are barefoot... :)

A guy from the East was in line next to me and they kept referring to him by his race, and not by his name. No wonder we had issues with the Eastern Boys at one point in this country's history. Totally legit IMHO.

Avoid the canteen. food is crap... tender given to the lowest bidder with expected results and quailty.

Loo usage costs LKR10... to pee :)

WTF? you serious about all these medical checks just for a license??? I went through less with the army.

  2. oh god that presenter is so retarded!! parking sensors in front? lights? is that all he has to talk about on a nissan leaf? christ! watching that gave me cancer!

I was thinking the same thing. He has the first electric car in Sri Lanka in front of his, yet his first question is about the lights. Typical allion guy if you ask me.

  3. Damitha, this is a maxxxxa thread. Very Informationive. You are elakiri person for sticking up and putting supranatural in his place. He many have 9000 posts but he have no brain. Keep fighting ma Nigga. I with you on this one. You are my knight in shining armour. If it wasn't for people like you, this forum reducing.

  4. machan, you should totally install two additional seats in the RAV 4. It is an elakiri idea. Market value increase neda? because 7 seats will carry more people than five. Only an idiot would think you should buy a van. How can you take those 7 people to yala in a van????? plus rav four more comfort than a van. you can even have more than seven peoplr if you had people sitting on each others laps. Don't worry about cargo space. Elcardo can welding a rack onto roof. It's a sira idea machan, plus better look with roof rack. or you can have elcardo remove the spare tire and weld a compartment there to put your baddu in.

  5. Thanks for the comments guys. :)

True, A few weeks before posting this thread, I tried to find the re-fill rubber blade in and around Panchi but failed. Even the Wurth agents themselves didn't have it when I checked. Got some contacts from some AL members as well but I wasn't able to find the stuff. Any particular shop at Panchi that you remember having them?

Cant remember the names but I can say for certain there are a couple of places in the small lanes of panchi that carry basically every size you would need. It

s worth looking at the smaller shops off of the main road when looking for parts like blade refills.

  6. Agreed 100%. We had a 2C engine Townace(CR41) bought from indra t*** Peliyagoda and it had 80,000Kms in the meter when bought reconditioned and we used it for more than 5 years without any issue and it had more pickup than 3C engine townace (which we bought as 3rd owner). When we sold it it had more than 120,000Kms in the clock and was still mint as when we bought from the sale. Earlier there were no JAAI or such thing to examine when you buy vehicles. But now, some owners at least keep scanned copy of their JAAI for records.

So you bought a CR41 with 80k and sold it FIVE years later with 120k?

    40,000 kms in 5 years?

    Cut the crap.

The CR41 has a five digit odometer that rolls over every 99,999. You probably bought it with a lot more miles than 80k and put in a lot more than 80k yourself and are now complaning about repairing it.

  7. Looks like somebody is in Chicago :)

Thought that was a bit of a bankrupt city

    Sorry for the OT dude

Chicago is paradise compared to where I might be shipped off to later this year.
