  1. ok guys...........try this... can give u a tip........I was not even in my mother's womb when this baby arrived to the world....(BTW my birth year is early 1980's) http://yfrog.com/0aimagenrqj
  2. "Just bought a Honda Spada VT 250 bike a couple of days ago , Once the bike revs to about 6000 rpms in about the 4th gear there is a sputter sound in the engine"- sputter sound..is it a like a metal crashing sound? can u hear it continuously while u are @ 6000rpm..then stop the bike and make it to the neutral..remove the air filter and slowly rev close to 6000 for couple of seconds.. then give it a sudden rush towards 8000 rpm.. and keep it there for about 10 seconds.if u can not hear any thing u dont need to be worry.. other wise u need to take it to a good mechanic quickly.. ................................................................................ .......... "The bike is also terrible on fuel". i will give u a small tip.. when u fill perol, fill it completely.then in the mean time u add petrol accordingly..dont ever let the petrol drain to the bottom..(this is a tip or a higher capacity carbulated 4 stroke bikes)....... well honda spata 250 generally do between 20 -30 kmpl..if u wanted a fuel efficient bike why on earth u went for a 250cc in the first place..u have to try suzuki gn125 if u want to have a Japanese fuel efficient bike..also if u want a japaneese 250 cc ,honda ax1 does more than 35kmpl if u drive sensibly.(close to 41kmpl)..so the best thing to do is catch a rabbit & sell it..even if u lose 10k or 15k u will be happy @ the end..
  3. well dilesh u got a fair point..but i seriously think that by having a separate section for the M'bikes there will be a increase in member input. just look at the indian vehical review sites..since we know in sri lanka most people couldnt afford vehicals.hence their choice will be m'bikes(specially age between say 19 to 27,28 might be)..and also look at the current m'bike sale trends..it's booming..so i think it's worth trying..
  4. well...since there are plenty of vehical owners, enthusiasts in this site who also got motorbikes.so my suggestion is can u add a separate section for motorbike related discussions(such as reviews, maintenance issues...etc).that would be a great service for the sri lankan public since we dont have any online discussion panel regarding motorbikes..in india they got several online discussion sites such as mouthshut.com...etc which are very popular..can u do it sir?..
  5. mmm...got to agree with the first point..but the second point..not quite sure..cause the more wise they are..chances are that they could cover up the mess ..(u know what i'm talking about)..but not all the professionals mind u...
  6. I dont know about the doctor part, but damn ..jaga..are u sure that most ladied are dumb?(seriously looked around before u get broom shot...huh..huh)
  7. out of curiosity i asked u guys...after going through various websites, auto mags i still can't figure out why the banner "used by a doctor, used by a lady, used by a professional" has a hidden value..because are they from a different galaxy or are they trained by a special A++ grade drive school...?
  8. Mates , if any body want to see a fully restoration process look at this link. http://dhost.info/ax1/index.html this is not a vehical restoration..it's a bike(honda ax1)..look how seriously he has planned his mission and deliver the goods.. good lesson for any vehical/motorbike restoration maniacs..
  9. got it mr.ripper(huh.. i like that name)...yeah but some of the ae110 owners are desparate to sell their 8-10 years cars @ absolutely riduculous prices..what to do ..this is sri lanka..isnt it?
  10. Thanks mr wijesinghe for ur thoughts..but i still can't figure out why the unbalanced pricing proedures are for the same brand cars..i mean Normaly diesel cars are more pricey than the petrol ones..But here the complete opposite..
  11. Oh here we go again...it's human nature man huh...I think it's the sri lankan nature i guess... , but can not predit the sri lankan market..isnt it?
  12. I am new to this AL. but since couple of weeks i am following the price of toyoya ce110(diesel)..price seems to be decreased suddenly by a huge margin(maybe 1.5 laks to 2.5laks).but my point is price of the toyota ae110(petrol) seems to be in the same place..some times owners quoting more price ..why is this happening? any idea guys??
