  1. Hi Experts, Been browsing the internet for quite some time to find the correct LED replacements for the head and fog lights of my Mark 2 gx110. its pretty confusing cos the LEDs are based on lumens. Pls advice on the correct bulbs for me to purchase as i am planning to get them online. Thnx in advance.
  2. Experts, nedd your advice in proposing an offer to a 2004 honda civic es5. Before the budget change, it ranged between 2.7 to 3.0 Mil, but after the budget, i am a bit confused. The car is in great shape and has done 80,000km+ and a black vehicle with the body kit. The owner is asking for 3.3 Mil. is it worth it? would appreciate your support. Thanks!!
  3. would it be possible for you to give your dealer contact??? Many thanx...
  4. Ya , you are right about the yen values. According to this image, the colored columns go as 70% = 3 - 3 1/2 year old vehicles, 75% = 2 - 3 year old vehicles, 80% = 1 - 2 year old vehicles, 90% = 1 - 1/2 year old vehicles. According to the source, its the actual tax(SL price) for a base model of that vehicle.
  5. Guys, No one has an idea on the taxes for the vehicles?? I just found this image, hope it helps. And also, what will be the tax for Nissan bluebird, Subaru Legacy B4, VW jetta etc? cos iv been seeing these vehicles sold for around 40-50 mark.... any thoughts?
  6. Check this ad : http://www.autolanka.com/ad.asp?ID=34117 Looks one awesome ride, but sadly a d9 and not the HPI version.. Isn't 1.95mil too pricey??
  7. Thanks a million brother. Will do the math as per your instructions and will update soon
  8. Just need your thoughts guys. I was planning to buy a 2002 Peugeot 307 for 1.5mil but one of my friend told me that I can get down a 2007 Honda fit for that price. But my thought is, when the duty is calculated, the duty will be calculated on the CIF price/the value given by the local valuer which are going to be different. For example, I contacted an online vendor who is willing to give an LA-GD1 for a CIF price of 6600USD.I calculated the duty, expecting it to be 120% as it is a 1300cc vehicle, and i didn't deduct the depreciation in case the local valuer's valuation is higher than the purchase price,it sums up to 14520USD. as in SLR with the clearance charges of Rs.30,000 without reducing the depreciation on the purchase price, it is almost 1.7mil. My doubt is, will the duty be more than that if the local valuer gives his own values? and if it is going to be different, what is the expected local value of a 2007 Honda fit LA-GD1? it will be very much helpful for me if anyone can help with this as I cant wait to get my own car and these duty things have kept me confused for a very long time. If my calculation is wrong, please help me to calculate my total cost for this car valued at 6600USD(CIF). Thanks in advance guys.
  9. I saw a Honda Stream 2007 1.8l engine for 10,000USD FOB in Japan on an online site. Please advice me if the duty calculation below is wrong FOB value = 10,000 USD Shipping and Handling = 1,160 USD CIF = 11,160 USD Depreciated FOB value at (60%) = 10,000*60% = 6,000 USD (Dep.Value is taken at 60% as it is 3 years old and as it is a commercial vehicle) Custom's taxable value = Dep.FOB value+ S&H = 6,000+1,160 = 7,160 USD Customs tax @ 156% (as it has a 1799cc engine = 7,170*156% = 11,185.2 USD Total Value = 18,345.2 USD Total Value in LKR = 18,345.2*114 = 2,091,352.80 If the price is around 2.1 mil, it seems to be the best deal in the market. what are your thoughts guys?
  10. Hi guys, I am looking to buy my 1st car within the budget of 1.5million. Any suggestions?? I am fairly new to autolanka as well as for cars, so suggestions are highly appreciated....
