  1. Oh shoot..... The biggest mistake people make when fixing airfreshners to cars. Anyways, just drop by at Mazna Motors (pepiliyana junc) and ask them if they would have a spare pannel since they bring some body parts down. Option -2 - Try Delkanda area Option 3 - Try checking on Ebay.
  2. just to share - i experienced someting really amusing when topping the tank. Generlly i do about 350kms and top it up max 45litres. The petrol meter at the shed cuts of at 42 lts but still the guys tops it up until it reaches the brim. Recently i topped the tank as usual as i had to leave out'a cbo for the long wkend the next day. That night i pumped 42lts as usual, filled it to the brim and came home and was wondering if a full tank would suffice to complete my trip. I rememberd that i had 10 ltrs of spare petrol at home in a gallon and was wondering if to take it with me. For some reason a tried filling the tank again with this 10lts and to my surprise I poured all 10lts. I was shoked as i saw to my eyes when filling it at the shed i topped it to the brim. Also its less than 3kms from teh shed to home and no traffic at all that nite. However after the trip i came back with a little less tha 1/4 tank. Went to the shed for a refill. Topped it up with 43lts. waited for a while and got the guy to pump again which he did very very slowly and it absorbed another 10lts. How the hell does this happen i wonder. i double checked if the dann petrol was leaking from under.. thank god no issue like that as well.
  3. QUOTE (Killer-B @ Apr 20 2010, 03:44 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I understand there is no big price difference between toyota and mazda spares but the thing is......Are mazda spares freely available in kandy? The local baas guys say that it is not so..... Now I am stuck between familias and corollas.......great! sorry no idea. the only spare part i've bought for my mazda from kandy was an alternator belt and a fabn belt. both were freely available. No idea about the rest.
  4. QUOTE (Killer-B @ Apr 20 2010, 12:27 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope from a starlet. I am also looking at the AE110 but I find it hard getting something with H/J registration nos. There was a 99' HX series car with a lot of modifications bodykit, spoiler, hi end sound sys, alloys and stuff and the guy was asking me a frigging 2M for it with 110000+ on the clock! That guy must be off his nuts... But remember.. there are ppl who pay the price for well maintained cars irrespective of the mileage done. The going rate for an AE110 H/J nbr is between 1.7 - 1.85.. then again the condition matters. Its a smooth and comfortable car but more like a family car (not modern or sporty looking at all) As to Mazda spares, no they are not that significantky expensive. Maintaining a triptronic is a bit expansive but not an auto or manual. Its more or less the same as a nissan B15. Timely atttendance save huge costs.
  5. oh ok. let me check on it as well. If i remove it is it a must that it has to be replaced? If it is not bad could i fix it back?? Is it based under the rear seat? Let me tell Lalith to check on it. Thanks mate.
  6. HI, just realised that you have a triptronic too.. would like to see your vehicle. Also would love to have your advise if you could inspect my car..
  7. Thats good to hear. I thought it should do around that too. Probably its coz yours is a manual (is it?) I've driven in every possible condition (trying to keep the RPM within 2000, driving on triptronic mode) also did a tune up, changed plugs, cleaned the coils and what not.. but damn..thats all i get. The car is also in prety ok condition (maintained at Mazna Motors)..
  8. Hi, I agree with Speedfreak.. Mazda is the deal. I have used an FB15, driven the N16 and AE110. Mazda is more spotier and rugged. AE110 suspension cannot be matched though. N16 is a rite off. FB15 is somewhat better. Are you mopving out of a Mazda hatch to a Sedan??
  9. Hi Friend, I have a BJ5W hatch VVTi 1.5 front disk, Triptronic. It does maximum 7.5kmpl in traffic and 9-10max outstation. It is a lovely car to drive but the fuel consumption still bothers me (even though my company pays for my petrol
