Any activities happening in near future? I see a considerable number of new Mazda's on the road and now the Ford dealer is here .. their numbers will increase too (hopefully).

Who are the agent for Yokohama in SL - or is there a place which generally stocks Yokohama? TIA

Hey VVTi - will see you on 8th! This project is aimed at filling a gaping void in Pediatric Cancer care and also with the honest goal of bridging the north-south divide (if any such thing exists) even a little ... Help out as possible!

A very informative read. But I'm confused... Mirage/VVTi et al: Should not the bike rider also be taken to court for reckless driving(riding) and failure to prevent an accident. Why is VVTi the sole respondent to the accident. I know that in general mindset the sympathy is with the injured/less affluent/smaller vehicle party - but is it the same with the law or was there comprehensive understanding that VVTi was responsible for the incident? TIA

Pls Read - Extreamly Important For All Vehicle Owners

No Don, I did not switch - but I can, if needed and just wanted to know. I would not know if it'd make any performance difference to my Axela (previous owners hv always used 90). -

Prez must love how the media is following his media policy to the letter! Anyways, I pumped a full tank at Laugfs Kohuwala on Monday - 65km on, no issues and as per them non of their customers had an issue, not so with Koswatta. Hope now that they would hv stopped distributing the contaminated batch, fuel everywhere is getting safer! Is is ok to mix a little bit 90 (which is left on the bottom of the tank) with 95 if you're changing to 95? -
Axela (according to Mazda Japan: Acceleration + Excellence) was a car ahead of its time. The (trim) spec of a 2004-2007 model is probably equivalent to 2010/11 Corollas and Allions. And it's a pleasure to own and drive EXCEPT when it comes to replacing parts (you know what I mean) ....

2004 Mazda 3 Owner's Manual 2005 Mazda 3 Owner's Manual 2006 Mazda 3 Owner's Manual 2007 Mazda 3 Owner's Manual 2004-2007 Service Manual (ISO/RAR) There are lots of others on the net but most are for US spec cars. However for body and trims and transmission it's almost the same as Asian/JDM spec.

Yep - you can't grudge the doctors their fees, they hv earned it. But you can certainly expect professionalism from them for the money you pay. Courtesies like being on time (managing his/her time rather) and willing to explore the ailment rather that processing patients on a 2-min assembly line ... Yeah, there are a hell of a lot that certain doctors can improve on. It's not like that some of them are gods and life savers all the time - some of them just hv a bachelors degree like many common men these days and we hv every right to expect the same service we give to our customers from docs to us.

Ferrari definitely hv upped the game but with 6 gone and Vettle having that amazing run - can't help but feel it's too late. But I'm hoping Fernando will keep at it, 'cos it will make Vettle a lot more jittery at top and create possibilities. Good news for me is that Bahrain is off and New Delhi is likely to take place on 10/30. I'm definitely planning to be there (and explore some of the neighboring country while I'm at it ). 4th Dec would hv screwed up my plans due to personal reasons. Hopefully there will be some promotional packages for us Sri Lankan f1 fans at New Delhi.

Thanks for the replies. As per Wikipedia, the clear tail lights were introduced to 'all' models in the 2007 facelift/upgrade. Previously they allegedly existed on the SP23 model - top of class 2.3L engine.

Hi guys - I've read most if not all topics relevant to Mazda 3 and Axela but genuinely wanted some advise from the forum members who drives/hv driven a Mazda on what specifically should I look for in buying one of these cars? I've learnt that brake liners cost 13k up and even the smallest, insequential sensor (if there is such )costs 30k up - so I want to know if there are any specific pitfalls in this model (2004-2006), anything that I should specifically look for such as bush/mounts replaced after this amount, type of ATF used etc ... Also, in wiki I saw that clear rear lights came to being after the 2007 upgrade but I've found several 2004 cars carrying clear i/o red rear lights - is this normal or hv they been replaced for cosmetic reasons? I've heard about 3 places recommended in servicing/maintaining newer Mazda's including agents - any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Whoa .. I'm planning on buying a Mazda Auto - should I be worried abt this confusion? OR Trust car mart for the change and pay through the nose?

I also think Videocon HD is the way to go - can somebody point out a dealer 'cos I cannot find any for VC HD, even on HitAd.

Saw the beast last night at Kohuwala Keels/BBK/HSBC park. Salivatingly awesome - definitely steals one over Feroz's GTR, if I may say so.

I thought 3rd hand market was top secret .. like underground, mafia driven etc. etc .. Noobs shouldn't be privy to details of the 3rd hand market (if you catch my drift )

Really? That's lame Anyways couldn't really figure out what this post is supposed to mean - is it a question, or a statement?

I'm 5' 8" and I hv to move the seat fully back to drive a K11 but I wouldn't call that position 'uncomfy'. What I frankly hate about a (1000 cc / auto) k11 is the pick-up or the acceleration which is disgusting. But driving in Colombo, that is hardly a problem and you can be pretty nippy in traffic (if you're that sort of driver). Once it's on the 3rd or 4th it's driving as normal and will pretty much keep up with all but most enthusiastic drivers with more horses under them! Everything else is good (but not great) about this car and as toyota sucks aptly said - it's a car that cannot be killed!

Thanks for sharing Sifaan - a very interesting read!
