    Hi Friends,

I have changed CVT oil in my Toyota Premio few days back and used Toyota CVT FE oil recommended by Toyota for 1NZ-FE engines. ODO is 70k. Once it is done, there's a small jerk in low speeds 20-40kmph and feels the gear change which was never experienced before. I revisit the garage and they checked again and refilled with new oil. Had a test run and the jerk still comes in low speeds. Then they have scan the system and found no faults and had a test run again. Then the jerk is minimal and not upto a considerable level. Today morning once again jerk comes up and I visit again to garage. They have run the gear learn app in the scanner and test the CVT oil pressure. Then again jerk has gone when doing the test run. But when I'm travelling back few miles I still feels a small jerk(which didn't experienced before the oil change). Is there anyone face such issue after CVT oil change? Your valuable feedback and expertize advice really appreciated...

    Hey,

Didn't they re calibrate CVT after the oil change.

Issue is that. Just changing CVT oil is not enough & cause issues.

CVT re-calibrate has to be done. Then only system identifies new oil pressure, oil capacity, oil weight & do transmission decisions based on new values.

Ask them to re-calibrate. If they don't have that OBD port scanner used for it, do it from outside place.

    issue should go away

  3. Im already 120K done in CVT JDM and 3 times changed CVT oil.

At 80K, even oil sump removed. At 120K it was just drain & refill.

No any issues so far, but this place Lau*** Car** always wanted to remove sump.

But when I got advice from TL tech hotline, they said sump removal is not recommended.

    You guys have any idea?

  4. belta pros:

    cvt for better fuel economy.

made in japan for use in japan

    belta cons:

    1000cc model is avialable

    yaris pros:

    will come with alloy wheels

    only 1300 cc available

    conclusion:

sri lankan happy to buy "made in japan for use in japan" used cars......

But Beltas have CVT gearboxes and after 100k on the odo there may be a possible replacement that would cost a little bit.

don't know where people find these facts?

    wht are the evidences?

all modern toyotas got these cvt, i-cvt gear boxes. most belta got i-cvt.

timely changed oil, strictness to genuine oil & proper usage on gear box will not last it in 100k.

this is applicable for all transmissions in world in general...

It's my first hybrid vehicle, was thinking either to buy GP5 or Aqua. With help of this forum and by looking at physical condition of the cars finally decided to buy an Aqua.

What i most like about Aqua is amazing fuel on 92 octane. Usual in heavy traffic it easily goes to 20 KM per L and in a night i had my best performance so far, it did 32 KM/L for 33 KMs from Warakapola to Gampaha.

    Shearing my experience...

best way is top up, run about 200km, top up & calculate the economy. (traditional way)

on board economy meter just give a clue. based on so many parameter.

correct me if i'm wrong ...

The point of the question raised by crosswind was why are you recommending an econobox sub compact sedan to a person looking for a mid sized sedan?

as per my knowledge, no other mid sized sedan for 3.7 which he may distinguish with...

is allion mid size sedan? or it too a compact sedan.. googled & found this in wikipedia too.. [class: Compact car] may be u guys more giants ..  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Allion

Exactly how does a Belta become an option for someone whos considering an allion?

mmm... like this. It's sedan. It's newer. It's fuel efficient.

it's a class behind allion certainly.... but practically, allion is too much used now...

let me repeat, this is only if u don't want bells & whistles too. if u have enough money, ya you can go for Axio new generation, Mazda 6 or anything you wan't too. I gave my answer becoz he had Q regarding his decision. Else go & buy allion. no worries.
