  1. Good Time for Vehicle Imports. This benefit may not keep for long time. So idle time for importing a vehicle.
  2. . Average fuel in colombo 15-17 kmpl. Aqua around 18-20kmpls economy mode at outstation: 20-26kmpls. Aqua around 20-26kmpls. So average fuel economy is good compared it weight, size and features. Now honda vezel z price comes down to 52.5 lakhs if you are looking to import ( 1.23 yen rate) Navi special package is not much special. It add only rear camera and multifunction steering only. Which cost around 35000 yen. No other difference.
  3. Elegance Duty = 40.77 lakhs at 1.23 yen rate and 100% Duty. ( Duty = 33.25 lakhs in yen x yen rate x 100% ) CIF LKR= 55 lakhs Total = 95 lakhs
  4. Hi, Can anybody explain the import procedure for spare parts. what documents is needed. Do we need to register with VAT. And what is the tax percentage.
  5. from the given options go for Swift. May be you can find unregistered Vitz 1000CC vehicle which has better resale value and easy maintenance.
  6. According to the given info i feel that figure is not acceptable since it gives by not a driving at colombo city limit. Bt i still doubt that ur fuel calculation for 150km . I suggest to do check the fuel consumption in following manner when u r going for long trip ( at least 200km in both way) to minimized the error. 1. Before start the journey fill the tank full and zero the trip meter. Most of the occasion filling stations guys fill the tank by extra liters after auto stop their meter. However you should calculate how much more they have filled. It vary to 0 to 5/6 liters. ( you can calculate it by seeing the liters of auto stop level and final level - take the difference). Let assume that he has filled 3 more liters extra. 2. After run a long trip fill the tank full and see the number of liters it takes to auto stop the meter of the filling station. Let assume that its 17 liters and now the meter reading is 300km. 3. Calculate the fuel consumption = Meter reading of Trip Meter / (Extra liters in previous filling + Current Liters at auto stop level) = 300 / (3+17) = 15 kmpl If your car does more than 14 kmpl at outstation i guess its ok. If its less than that checked it again for engine tuned up. Also note that it is difficult to guess the minimum rating of kmpl value of colombo city limit since it can vary from 6 to 11. Even if it does 6 kmpl we cant say the vehicle doesnt do the fuel well because of the kmpl value depends highly based on the nature of the traffic.
  7. If you measure fuel economy at colombo traffic that figure is ok. Have you checked it in long Trip. If it does 15kmpl thats ok. Also can you tell me how do u calculate it?

  9. I have seen that some of the ppl saying that they r not considering the resale value since they are looking to use for a long period. Bt my recommendation to consider it very hardly. Then u wont never worry abt that. For a simple example i had two friends one who has purchased Nissan caravan at 7 lakhs and other frnd purchased Mazda VAN 5 lakhs. Person who has caravan can sale his vehicle now at least 24 lakhs. Other can sale it 9-10 i guess.so see the difference.
  10. If u r going to purchase 2010, Auc.grade;5 , 1000cc vehicle now, u will have to pay 3.58 mil or +. U have one to one earning. But i doubt that who will purchase 2010 vehicle at that much cost. Bcz ppl have attitude that Vitz value is around 2.5 M. Its better to purchase 2003 allion rather than going to 2010 Vitz. It depends on the ppl attitude. Anyway if anybody know the c.i.f value of i can calculate the approxiamate total cost
  11. Model: Nissan FB13 Supper Saloon Anniversary Year: 1992 Engine: 1500cc Fuel @ City: 9-11 kmpl depending on the traffic Fuel on Outstation: 15-17 kmpl Fuel on Outstation:(60kmph -80 kmph) - 20kmpl
  12. I think most of the ppl misunderstand that what is the Speed of the Link. There is significant difference in Wireless Broadband and Wireline broadband technologies. I will simply explain it without much more technical wordings. Wireless Broadband: Dialog, Mobitel and SLT Wimax technologies falls under Wireless Broadband Wireline Broadband. SLT ADSL is only the wireline Briadband available in Sri Lanka Now. Future SLT will provide fiber optics broadband to residential customers which can provide even 1000 Mbps connectivity. Your Overall Internet Speed depends on the four factors. 1. Access Speed Followings are the maximum speed of each technologies ADSL - 26 Mbps ( Dedicated per User) 3G - 7.2 Mbps ( Shared by users in a cell) Wimax - 50 Mbps ( Shared by users in a cell) 2. Transport Network Speed This is the network that all local internet traffic passes. SLT has 1Gbps transport network for very adsl exchange Dialog/Mobitel has Multiple of E1 (2Mbps) levels. But not much higher as SLT provided link. 3. International BW Don't have much idea about it. But SLT has greator speed than others. 4. Server Speed. Web server speed also a considerable factor when you are downloading. Finally internet speed vary depending on the all above factors. Note: Dialog/Mobitel market their product by telling only the access speed even though they dont hv much rich transport network. Hence i doubt that how the 7.2 Mbps can provide every users simultaneously. SLT market their product by telling actual internet speed what customer can provide without telling that internet speed is 26 Mpbs which is the ADSL maximum speed. I hopes u may get some idea about that.

  14. Guys, I have the New Tax calculator for Toyota Vitz 1000cc and 1300 cc. I think following price approximation may help you to get idea when you are going to buy a vehicle. 1. 1000cc, 2009/5-11, 4.5 auction grade,8 Air Bags, C.I.F yen 1,050,000 = LKR. 2,750,000 + Local Agent Fee + Additional Options 2. 1000cc, 2009/12-2010/4, 4.5 auction grade,8 Air Bags, C.I.F yen 1,050,000 = LKR.2,835,000 + Local Agent Fee + Additional Options 3. 1000cc, 2010/5-11, 4.5 auction grade,8 Air Bags, C.I.F yen 1,050,000 = LKR. 2,915,000+ Local Agent Fee + Additional Options 3. 1000cc, 2010/12-2010/4, 4.5 auction grade,8 Air Bags, C.I.F yen 1,050,000 = LKR. 3,070,000+ Local Agent Fee + Additional Options 4. 1300cc, 2009/5-11, 4.5 auction grade,8 Air Bags, C.I.F yen 1,000,000 = LKR. 3,000,000 + Local Agent Fee + Additional Options 5. 1300cc, 2009/12-2010/4, 4.5 auction grade,8 Air Bags, C.I.F yen 1,000,000 = LKR. 3,095,000 + Local Agent Fee + Additional Options 6. 1300cc, 2010/5-11, 4.5 auction grade,8 Air Bags, C.I.F yen 1,000,000 = LKR. 3,195,000+ Local Agent Fee + Additional Options 7. 1000cc, 2010/12-2010/4, 4.5 auction grade,8 Air Bags, C.I.F yen 1,000,000 = LKR. 3,395,000+ Local Agent Fee + Additional Options Additional Option: DVD/TV/Navi= LKR. 40,000 Alloy = LKR. 20,000 Local Agent fee = 25,000 to 50,000 If you are willing to import a Toyota Vitz atleast you should have 2,800,000/- in your hand now. It depends on the C.I.F Cost. I doubt that you can find a good condition vehicle even @ 1,050,000/- price. Before tax increase u hv opportunity to import 2008 good condition vehicle at total cost of 22.5 lakhs. Now u hve to pay 28 lakhs atleast.
