  1. "Siri what the weather like outside?" "fcuk off you lazy whore!! Go see yourself!!"
  2. "who the duck" said dinukap4's smart device, quacking in evil satisfaction. If it was up to me I'd make a Siri who swore and cussed and knew how to spell four letter words. Good luck with this knightowl. WAtchman and don nailed it. Try that angle. And maybe post some pictures, if that isn't a violation of forum rules
  3. Don't ever judge other people this way. You can't forcibly take something that doesn't belong to you. You asked him. He refused. Move on.
  4. What you described had nothing to do with the gearbox. Looks like the agents flipped you a bird on that. Change your cvtf every 15,000km anyhow. AC needs regular servicing in our dusty climes. Check the compression of the compressor and see of the Condensor is blocked. Don't replace one without replacing the other
  5. Sathyajith can you make your signature photo a little shorter? Crop it maybe? It takes an age to load
  6. Of the two, I'd vote for the viva elite. It a nifty little car, joy to drive, small so you can fit in traffic and park easily. Not as safe or hardy as a corolla. If you have a highway commute in that drive, go for a bigger older jap saloon car like a corolla, sprinter, civic, carina etc
  7. No. No they don't. Just because something is newer, it doesn't automatically make it better. This is not the case all the time.
  8. You'll notice if it's blocked. Fuel starvation occurs. But best ot wait til that happens. I replaced mine with a Nissan filter. 960/- works fine.
  9. You're comparing a 1500cc engine with one that's roughly half it's size. I've owned a maruti and an alto. What you're experiencing is completely normal. And there's nothing you can do about it. But do get your idle up mechanism checked, and a tune up (intake manifold, sensor cleanup, spark plug cleanup/replacement, injectors cleaned ultrasonically) you might notice a slight improvement.
  10. Overall, jokes apart, I feel the fit hybrid is a real winner. Looks, performance, savings. Any brand new hybrid won't retain market value after 3 years. You can't expect to buy it at 700,000 and sell at 1,800,000 like a Ti carina at-212
  11. Weasel sounds a lot better than "way-sel". That would make it the transport of choice of the Sri Lankan male gigolo. Oh wait it already is...
  12. Motor cade sells hella superrtones. Around 4,000.
  13. Urgent advise: forget both, go buy a Toyota gt-86, revv up to the limit, throw the clutch, and live your life happily ever after. Sideways. Quickly! Go go!!
  14. This depends mostly on what you want out of the car. See, there's no point you playing it safe with a weekend getaway car. Your brothers suggestions are more daily runner type unusual cars. If you're running is only on weekends, and you're doing so purely for motoring pleasure, why worry about upkeep and fuel economy? Is only gonna do 20-30km four times a week. Round that off to 100km a month, even if you had a car that did 5kmpl, that s still 20 liters of fuel. Any car has to be maintained, and any car for that price is usually vintage so parts availability is inversely proportional to price. Landys are not an easy affair to maintain if you have no previous exposure to one. I dunno whether your brothers quote is justified but I do know that they're not as cheap as a 4dr5 to run. If you just want to hoon around in a unique car, then rethink your criteria. Might I interest you in a sr20det powered 1968 Datsun 510 4 door sedan?
  15. Either way it's entertainment. Hats off to the guys who organize it despite all odds. Look at this way boys, if it rains, you'll see how the supiri-nayaa slides around with a live axle driving 500+ horses onto a polished glass surface!
  16. Oh what a fun place to go in a lowered car
  17. I guess tomorrow will tell. Hope no one gets white vanned in the coming week
  18. juts passed by before this happened. my god if that was me, you'd see me dead clutching my heart next to the teg...
  19. Yup. Align at a place without computers. Try Amila in Dehiwela. Are you running Chinese tyres? The rubber compound in them is lumpy. As in not even spread density. I had the same problem. Switched to maxxis Victoria in front. Now no issue
  20. antibiotics kill BACTERIA. the common cold is by a VIRUS. you don't need a medical degree to know that those are two completely different forms of life. but we don't get better if the doc doesn't prescribe augmentin. that's how the cycle goes.
  21. And no mate. I don't have the money to throw at a competition like that. The entry fee is the least of my worries. The toll on my pocket and the car for tuning is not worthwhile for me. Not to say I don't enjoy/endorse those who do. I envy them. Had I the disposable income, I would do it too.
  22. One was. I know him personally. Which is why I said so. I'm not one for heresay. Sort of took the luster out of the sport for me. These days the right amount of power can win you just about anything. I come every year. I do so for the love I have for the vehicles. Not the spirit in which the competition is held as of late. I'm not placing the blame on anyone by saying so. Just venting frustrations at abuse of power. Frankly I expected more from a Thomian, if nothing else. Someday we'll have uninfluenced races. Like the times before the pakse's graced the field. Waiting til that day dawns.
