  2. Hi Guys, Have you used Valvoline Fuel System Cleaner for your diesel engine. Hopefully this can be used for 4DR51 Engine please share your experience if you have used it already. Thank you.
  3. This will save you next time. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Digital-LCD-Cigarette-Lighter-Voltage-Panel-Meter-Monitor-Car-Volt-Voltmeter-y0-/391859469028?hash=item5b3ca4fae4:g:--MAAOSwDNdVozAi&vxp=mtr For the same reason but not for an Aqua, I made this for me.
  4. Yes. Hopefully, only option I have is to use a silicon spray with rubber boots.
  5. For me it looks like an encrypted hard drive (Or a car) . Forgive me, just a joke.
  6. This is the reason I am looking for these. It's nowhere to find.
  7. Hi Guys, Any of you have used silicon axle boots for your vehicle? (Not rubber ones)
  8. Since we talk about tyres, be aware that some tyre shops sell outdated or not used but too old tyres. check the tyres before installing it to your car. At least check the year before buying it. READ THIS http://www.mycarhelpline.com/index.php?option=com_easyblog&view=entry&id=577&Itemid=91
  9. Worn out the edge is not an issue of the tire and changing the size isn't solving it. TT said it all and all parts and nuts and bolts should be checked. A good place that does wheel alignment can narrow down your problem.
  10. Most flat roof ones are imported with body permits. Police officers sometimes stop you and ask the permit and better to keep a copy along with you. So, without proper documents to prove it's legal, there is a high possibility that you will end up with a court case.
  11. Hi Guys, Help me with this question. What are the cars made for comfort in 1970's (Before 1976) which is available in Sri Lanka? Hopefully Peugeot 504 is one of them? Appreciate your replies. Thank you.
  12. To update you guys, I paid a visit for both cars and none of them are good enough to buy. The reason is they lack many interior parts yet priced for a high amount. Nevertheless, the body and interior parts are very important to me as I am restoring it to it's original condition. I learnt a lot by visiting 504s now. That is worth still.
  13. You should have told him the real values because he will be ended up with many troubles if the services and maintenance are not done at the correct intervals. Poor guy. "Car Sales" is a fraud business. The government should impose some rules at least.
  14. 2.5 lks both are equally priced.
  15. Here is the differences I noticed. The GL has 4 disc brakes & L has front disc and rear drum GL has no ac vents but L has original ac vents (I guess) GL dashboard is better looking than L (square meters) Both has 1.8 engines But I don't know about suspension and other stuff.
  16. Hi guys, I am hunting for Peugeot 504 and got 2 cars. One is a GL one and other is L. I didn't see L version anywhere but the GL. This is the only L version I found. I am confused with these two versions. The L version has it's own AC system where GL doesn't have and currently hang on type is attached to front. Could you guys help me decide which one to buy based on, Parts availability on L version compared to GL because I like the L Version Dashboard. The L version doesn't have rear disc brakes but GL does. Thanks and appreciate your replies.
  17. Is it me only feels this is to show their lack of knowledge or is it really true?
  18. This was my concern in the case mentioned above. Whatever repairs or maintenance practices that should be done on correct mileage intervals will no longer be considered as the person who buys it has no idea whatsoever. I don't know who bought the van but if I do, I pay a visit and inform him of course.
  19. My uncle sold his Toyota KDH 200 Super GL and ODO was 190,000. he purchased it on 2008 and being the first owner, he maintained it with Super Diesel and on time servicing. The vehicle was eye catching for those who were interested on such category and he wanted to sell it to buy a recent petrol version. Few people inspected and finally a reseller bought it. Two days later, We saw it advertised on a classified site and ODO was 85,000 and has added some nickle parts for lights and stuff to make it looks like "Thorana" The price was 3 laks higher than he purchased and within two days, It was sold. (Removed from the site) This is the nature of the country. I personally don't even look at the ODO and let the company inspection report to worry about that. Believe it or not, There are people mostly 1st or 2nd owners who don't even know the engine capacity cc of the vehicle. If someone has no knowledge of how to buy a used vehicle, the best thing is to bring it to the agent so that they can give us an inspection report with all the faults and cuts and chops. If the vehicle is too old, it is wise to bring a good technician (Usually a friend or trusted person) to see the vehicle condition. The last thing he would do is to see the ODO for sure.

    Wheels corroded.

It's stopped for sometime and that caused the discs to get corroded. Drive it a little with few times of braking to eliminate those. There are non corroded discs built by custom disc providers but those are damn expensive. Overall this is a normal case.
  21. Thank you for the suggestion. " rear axle from a v46" this will cost a lot more than 50k-60k which will be the ideal cost for molding two discs with all the caliper and brake horses. (All inclusive with mechanics cost) Don't you think replacing axles will not match to other parts connected to it? (Educate me pls) My one option is to molding and other is to find the same exact discs and related parts that matches to the studs and mounting brackets. So what do you think would be ideal for this?
  22. Hi Guys, After sometime from this conversion (Front Disc), I am looking for a perfect matching disc unit for rear wheels of the J44 - 4DR5 (Mitsubishi) Jeep. The front was done with a molded discs and still runs so smoothly without any issues. I could do the same for rear but wondering if there is any discs that matches which I can buy from the market. Please share your reply. Thanks.
