Dear all, I had to replace the engine of my car Fb13 with a similar type of engine since the old engine was worn out. But i was unable to inform to RMV. I called the RMV, they told me that i need to get an approval from them first, and then after the engine replacement, the car must be examined by an examiner in RMV Verahera. There are some modifications done to my car such as changing the original tyre size (previous owner) and a performance exhaust (beat barrel). Some of my friends told me that if there are such modifications, some problems will occur at the RMV examinations. Since this is my first time that i am going to do such a procedure, please be kind enough to share your ideas, experiences with me. I am going to sell the car. i want to make all legal matters clear before selling it, Thanks.

I had the same issue with my Mazda BG5P Interplay. . As you said it was very heavier to push. I Replaced the clutch pump and now it is ok.

I had a similar issue in my Mazda Interplay. Ultimately found a the wires to the reverse plug of the gearbox got damaged and touched the body time to time. got fixed it.

One of my friend has one. According to him, it has 4 Disc Breaks, power antenna. I have observed these featrues. -samanl

I heard that FB15 YOM 1999 and upto early 2000 came with this engine cover. Late 2000 and 2001 models came with no covers mounted top of the engines. In my car, there is no Neo cover and no sockets to mount it even. I have seen several cars in this way. If the car is in good condition and @ a reasonable price, buy it. It is hard to find a good car these days. cheers samanl

I have finished rebuilding my B310 , easily found used Driver side door, Steering box and a used but a good Engine ( Since the existing one had some issues ), carburetor. Engine,Carb and Steering Box cost me 30000/-. All from panchica watta, a place called W@Tta. Also i found some of the body parts from a place near Pelmadulla.

It may be a problem of the steering column. In my FB13 i had that kind of a problem and got solved after fixing a new column.

agreed. I used mcfoil and attached it to the bonnet using plastic clips. never had to drill the bonnet. These clips were very nice and gave a good finish. did it by my self. This foil reduces the heat of the bonnet more than 50 %. I did this for my previous FB13 which already run by gas. ( Generally got heated than when driven by petrol).

Actually Thapal 90 means the honda MD90 model, and not the c90 or yamaha mate.

This one is called as "Attanayaka model" and not as the wijeweera model. Wijweera used the name "Attanayaka" at that time. He had this lancer when he get arrested.

I stated what i am currently experiencing. Stating a matter that i am facing with "how can it get dishonest" ?. BTW, Since there is no RPM meter , i can not exactly say what the rpm meter indicates when i drive. But i always keep in mind not to revup the engine unnecessarily. Samanl

Dear all, I am experiencing a bad fuel consumption on my passo 1000cc. Earlier it was done 11 - 12 kmpl . But now it is done only 10-10.3 kmpl. But recently it increased upto 13 kmpl . (this was after removing and fixing the battery for fixing a horn)( i dont no whether some sensors were resetted due to that). But now again trip meter indicates that it is 10 kmpl. All the above figures are for the city driving but with less traffic and AC is "on" 50% of the time. Car was done 12.5 kmpl in outstation in last april but without AC. I do not no whether this is the normal situation. Altogether I have done the followings 1 - Engine and Transmition oil changed ( After this only 2500 KMs were driven) 2 - Add Motul Injector cleaner for the full tank of fuel ( after this some improvements were seen and almost 1000 KMs were driven) Please advice me. Dear Experts, While driving in non carpet roads, specially where there is potholes on the road, a considerable noise ( Tak tak ) comes from the driver side of my passo. My mechanic examined it and said that is due to the shock absorber mount. Then he told me that it can not be replaced in a normal garage due since the shock absorber is a special type. He said this kind of shock abs can be dismantled using normal pullers. He further said that this can be fixed by welding of two iron plates on the shock mount. I am already fed up with this noise . Visit delkanda, just two or three building next to highlevel plaza. I found they useful in fixing missing bushes in my Passo.

I also read this in one of a thread. i wonder why is this.

Do we need to fix it immediately?. I do not have much knowledge on EPS.

Dear all, I have purchased a Toyota Passo 2007 unregistered car which already recorded 50000 KM. I feel a slight rattle sound (I think it may be the rack or rackend) when i drive it in the roads which does not have carpets. I heard that this sound is normal with EPS. Please advice me. Please let me know whether i could purchase the rack (if needed, yet in sri lanka. Thank you Samanl

Dear Forum members and moderators, I am a new comer to these forums. Upto now i have posted 16 posts. according to my mind, i have not violated the forum rules. But as you can see the picture i am getting some warning level bar with my profile. Other new comers are not getting this. Once i posted two links of FB13 repair manual. Members are commented that they are not working. after that,i host them in Hotfile. Then the links stand live for only 7 days.(since i am not a premium member). Is this the issue.
