  1. hi, Better to go for the Chinese one. I am having other one which gave me trouble within 6 months although I am not a frequent washer. However the agent repaired it as it was guarantee period. It has a soap attachment but to be fixed to a outside bucket to carry around the car. Good luck
  2. I also hate cheap Indian scrap, as people in the forum majority in for Japanese vehicles. If you need further explanation ask from a guy who drives a Maruti
  3. Hi, I am not aware of this technology can anyone give me more details. Thanks

    Nissan Vanette

I had a fleet of 4 vanettes(VUJC22) and 1 townace (CR27) Vannette- High engine life more than 350,000km - high fuel efficiency around 14km/l - Aulternator tend to burn, replace with higher capacity aulternator ( I replaced with Serena ones) - Some vehicles overheating occurs, add additional raw to the radiator. - Fornt suspention is two leaf springs, keep an eye on the centre bolt if ya run the vehicle with broken bolt leafs tend to break. - not comfortable than townace - 59 vehicle you can find around 1 million Townace- Original engine runs around 200,000km max. After replacing with Polgasovita selleves will run around 250,000km again. - fuel efficiency around 11km/1 - No design problems but front suspention & engine seems to be noisier than Vanettes. - Bigger vehicle than vanettes - 59 vehicle will be 1.2 million
  5. I had a simillar issue few months back. When I went to radiator guy he said, the core is Alumenium & he can not weld Copper to Alumenium. Only option was replacing a new one & cost me 19k (CT210 Diesel auto).
  6. Dude, YOM 2000 means it is a brand new car. Here in SL Reconditioned vehicles are performing better than brand new ones (I meant Japan used vehicles). The resale value is also high for recon vehicles ( so I think YOM97 is better than this). Also this has another negative point of manual transmission ( decrease in price Rs 100,000/= to 50,000/=) . http://www.autolanka.com/ad.asp?ID=20992 is reasonably priced I think. YOM 2000 car shall go below that price!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Dear mate, You have selected wrong tyre sizes. Ones applied to the following tyre size calculator, http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp The result was 7.55% tyre size increase with 8.161% speedometer reduction. Changing tyre sizes are acceptable but you can not increase the tire diameter. This will create lower breaking efficiency, lower speedometer (& odometer) reading. Probably the gap between tyre & vehicle become lower hitting the tyres against vehicle when going through humps irregularities in the road. So using these oversize tyres are not acceptable. Newer thrust Sri Lankan seller's words, always ask some professional or just type the question in google and search.
  8. Yes no need of fushing. but if u are too much worried about it, you can do the flush with the fully synthetic oil that you are going to introduce. Also remember that oil changing interval should be according to the engine manufactureres recommendation not the oil manufactureres recommendation. (ie 3000km for most vehicles).
  9. For most of the Japanese vehicles radiator fan works in Slow mode & Fast modes. This is achieved by wiring two fans in series (slow mode) and parallel (fast mode). When the A/C is on fans work continuously in slow mode. When the car is heated fan works in fast mode. After cooling it become to slow mode if the A/C is on or fan switches off if A/C is off. So check your car is working simillar to that. Good luck
  10. GT tyres are better they give lowest cost per km. I use them over a decade with several vehicles of mine. But they are harder than Japanese.
  11. Speed lock better than brake lock. I already have breake lock. After taking car out of the guarage for family members to get is I apply the brake so, I have to unlock again.
  12. Your engine repair may be because of it is worn out. But, I was using it from 1998 (that time it was E- oil) with several vehicles of mine time to time. I am surprised to hear that you can test material by smelling. Anyway, I do not worry about the contents as it gives me the required performance. But I have one worry, I heared "Acetone" is giving performance like same. Since it is carceogenic and harmfull to environment I am not willing to use it. So if any one has capacity to test Soltron against Acetone please inform the result.
  13. I have never used on petrol vehicles. But, manufacturer recommends for petrols.

    Toyota Premio

Yes you are correct but waiting for 10 seconds is a problem some times. but i purposely delay switching off after sudden acceleration. Regarding acceleration, I was unable to find the same model who gives me to drive.
  15. Hi, I use Soltron over a decade on my diesel vehicles. It gives more power & comparatively around 10% increase in fuel efficiency. but I use 1.5ml for 1 liter of diesel which is 50% higher than manufacturer recommendation. Further, because of it I never get water contamination problems in Injector pumps.
