  1. Why dont you do a custom build for all of the following. You ll get better power gains as well with more durable parts. Viscous fan - use an electric fan, or a pair with a nice race spec radiator, also will come with the expansion tank The fan shroud problem is also eliminated Turbo hoses, you can find silicone hoses in all shapes and sizes. They dont deform much and withstand heat much better Air filter housing, use an after market filter assembly, branded of course, K&n cone etc Unless you are planning to sell or flip the vehicle the above replacements are upgrades to the stock setup so you ll be fine. Only part you need to look for stock is the steering stabilizer link.
  2. Almost every econobox on the road wants to go racing with my little copen! Be it Corollas, passos, rice civics, 80s 90s sticker raped cars and the latest one a wagon r with this V I P 2000buck light.

he was trying to race behind me for like 20miles, I wasn't even trying.

I guess the lack of travel and covid lockdowns have driven road buffs to insanity.

Small PP syndrome on their part.

Women drivers get this daily. My wife had a pug 407 black with red interior.

Buggers be risking their kids lives to overtake her in their puny ecoboxes.

Other women drivers in their fits/aquas & what-not be glaring at her and cursing her existence.

  3. My wifes dinged up our one, not a panel without a scratch, it's an Led ver, with all that noobs are offering un the 5 mil range now lol. Its not even for sale
  4. Research all the content on the Vitz, you ll find enough data to use that car for a million miles, 5w- 30 is ideal as its turbo

    Project A72V

Please start a separate thread, much love to see these attainable classics being restored!
  6. Can be done talk to an expert like Bruce ( Bruce motorsports ) or sacha (WEPR) Only cons I can think of are Its not a small job, lot of fabricating involved. Cost, expect atleast 500k LKR in cost wherever it is. Reliability, till things are fine tuned you will have issues Engine might need a rebuild or onceover to hold up with the setup if you are into high miles, Please go ahead with it!
  7. Is there anyone in Kandy to undertake a high end exhaust job?

      Bought a new ride?

I would take it to WEPR. Probably the best we have. Expensive, but boy do they sound good. Not too loud, but sounds amazing.

  8. Could be better if you can specify which year and transmission etc A 4m41 off a montero will span about 800k LKR and go upto 1 Mil based on bits included 4m41 has a bit more grunt but also a troublesome engine, sometimes a proper OCD level rebuild of a 4m40 might be worth it in comparison to a 4m41 from a half cut car. Of course you get to brag about the 3200cc but in reality even a 2500cc 4d56U turbo can make that power in their newer guises in newer models. Of course it can be done and there are people, depending on your locality. My knowledge is a bit dated on DMT matters but AFAIK there is a CC limit you can go in an engine upgrade. So check with them or else your vehicle wont be road legal, and given the times selling will also be a nightmare given the CR is not updated

    Daihatsu Copen

It's an unreg car btw. Auction grade 4.5 The interior black, is some carbon fibre edition. Has many parts including the seat inserts. The car is Silver. Doesn't have fog lights. Rest all there. I prefer to have the brown or white I saw Octaneheads car on fb. I think his price is on the high side for a used car rego 2018, sweet mods though. And I would love to have a manual, I actually drove another manual car in kurunegala, was a little beast but the 7 speed simulated CVT is also almost the same, besides my wife wants to drive it time to time thus I opted to stick to auto. The purist in me succumbed to the performance of the cvt. I dont know how but I was convinced The car has run approx 3000km in SL, that bit I dont know how. It was auctioned on 27 Nov 2017. In SL by Jan 2018. They've been quoting 38 as it's an "edition" The seller says the car was moved between their branches. This car was brought to my reach through a long term dealer I have known almost 30 years, my parents too got cars though him since 90s. He ain't coming below 32 Anyways still contemplating. 3 more people are eyeballing the car since it was bought to kandy for my inspection. Toyota Lanka denied inspection as they dont do Daihatsu. So Car Checks is the only option, despite the sellers enthusiasm to get It inspected, i do not have the time to haul it to Colombo. I've asked the proprietor many times to open a branch in Kandy.

    Daihatsu Copen

Would 32 be decent for an unreg car Auto, 2014, 10k mileage genuine, personal import auction sheets verified physically and online Also btw can a car have several auction sheets days apart, some mention "sold" some mention "finished" No mileage tampering noticed between the auction sheets except perhaps about 117km run in between. No accidents seen in both. One sheet was from kobe, the other was from osaka Again all verified online with payment. What do u think

    Daihatsu Copen

Tried both today, can't fit in the s660 Lovely interior though I saw cars from 39- 32 They are quoting insane figures, insane for a kei Most are advertised at 39, they settle at 3750 37, Way too high for my budget. Let's see

I too am having issues with the boss, the boss went on to levels to claim that I have another boss on the side and wants to impress her with a flashy sports car! Anyways Robe S is kinda rare here, if you do know someone who wants to sell theirs please let me know. Again please do share anything on the subject as i tend to keep it as a project car lifelong

Hi fellas Been taking stupid decisions lately, and now considering this as a weekend toy? Any opinions?
  15. If you want sound quality get an amp into the sandwich, I ve swapped to android in almost everything I've own, never been happier
  16. I’ve serviced all the Suzuki’s I had at A*W, even my 2020 Vitara, I don’t recommend going elsewhere. If you don’t like the flush, ask them to skip it.
  17. I have used the Hustler I had a few years ago without the battery, took it out for weatherproof carpeting and it worked, so ran without it for 2 days. The yellow "@" light keeps blinking. Its a bit low on power. Just that. No interference with the steering, brakes and Aircon. 100% certain. used to be 110,000LKR , not sure now
  18. Yes it can be run But with an array of dashboard indicators Also without the hybrid battery, the boost from the ISG, the power output will be horrendously low.
  19. You can get a barely used c200 for about 1 mil less than premio money now
  20. Totally counting on the scammers and hoarders of junk from Japan to be wiped off. But another lot are on the rise, the buying and selling lot. They buy 250,000km cars, turn them to a magical 80,000km mileage, do a "sale paint"and off she goes to a poor noob. My good old painter whom i've known over 15 years now has no time to attend to my humbler projects, instead he's occupied with these sale paints, they do a KDH in one day, 45000LKR, just a lick of paint on the old paint. Tie up the bumpers and shes gone.
  21. Yes it was 2.7l and manual and yes it was slow. Wanted to add a bit of humour! Hehe a friends dad is considering swapping his premio to a raize! It's gone that cult. I saw one that had been carved up by a Leyland bus, they aren't that strong at all.
