  1. Hi, what is the mileage of your car? I am running the 2018 1.5 turbo sedan and have close to 55k on the clock but still havent had the need to change the shocks. I changed my tires at 42,00km to Continental
  2. My father and wife owned 2 for total of abt 6 years
  3. Why not look at a Mitsubishi CS1, CS2 or CS3 2008 or later (Gira Hota model)? I think it will tick all if not most of your boxes
  4. I had the same experience in Maradana. I was told the the damper was broken because I kept the manual in thr cabby. Was lucky enogh to get it replaced under warranty . But now i have seen this post I feel there is something wrong in the way they unhinge the damper to clean the cabin filter. 5. Mine is pretty accurate on efficiency on meter compared to brim to brim
  6. The efficiency here is on the way back from Ella. (But my car is a 1.5 turbo though) Recently did a trip to Mapalagama from Union Place and it averaged around 15kmpl (including expressway). Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using AutoLanka.com mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  7. Problem is only in very cold weather and in cars which runs short trips in cold weather. I do not think it will be applicable here in SL Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using AutoLanka.com mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  8. Definitely Honda Insight. Far superior car in all aspects.

  10. The system calculate the remaining oil life based on the engine running time not the km run by the vehicle. Reset of the countdown can be set to 5000km as well. I guess when the car was manufactured in UK it was originally set for 10,000km. What I still fail to understand is this drastic difference in engine oil life in these 2 countries.
  11. You definitely, should consider the Lancer Ex, I used one for 5 years and sold mine in Feb 2018. It is absolutely a wonderful vehicle. Trinity bought a 2012 car recently. Can find more info under his thread.
  12. Let me know if you are looking for a spoiler, can recommend the place where I got mine. I got a stock spoiler not EvoX spoiler. Also consider adding window visors as well.
  13. Congrats buddy, Did not know you were looking for one. I sold mine last Feb.
  14. Is it only me who thinks that there are way too many vehicles on roads right now?
  15. Its been sometime since I updated on my experience with Civic 1.5T. The clock is closing on 7,000km now Fuel Economy (lets get it out of the way) Its averaging around 8kmpl in Colombo during heavy traffic (with rain these days). But on average it varies between 8kmpl - 9kmpl Did a trip to Anuradhapura with an overall efficiency of 15.1kmpl over 530km. Going towards A'pura car averaged about 16.5kmpl. Regular up and down trips to Ingiriya averages around 13kmpl on 120 route > Expressway Kahathuduwa to Gelanigama > Panadura - Rathnapura Road to Ingiriya 2nd Service The car indicated I had to do my service by 4,700km but ended up doing the second service after the A'pura trip around 4,900km. This was the 1st oil change of the car and the agent used Mobil 5w30 oil. I did notice a slight increase in fuel efficiency after the service (may be its nothing to do with the service). Acceleration Out of curiosity tried timed accelerations 0 - 100 kmph and cruising at 60 - 160kmph on sports mode 0-100 was just above 8 secs without spooling turbo at the start and was just above 7 secs with spooling turbo at the start. 60-160 was 17 seconds (RPM hit a max of 4,900 ie the car accelerated at peak torque but did not hit the peak BHP at 5,500 rpm) Ceramic Coating Ceramic coating is holding well thus far. Couple of days earlier noticed couple of small scratch marks on the bonnet and on rear door. non of those have penetrated to the paint. According to the supplier it is recommended to have a followup on the coating every 2 months but I dont think it needs that stringent upkeep. But planning on doing a checkup every 5-6 months.
  16. My Civic is a 1.5 turbo brand new import from the agent. my instructions say to use minimum 91oct but the agents suggests me to use 95Oct to be on the safe side. This is the exact point I asked the question on long term effect of using fuel available here (even 95 euro4) on UK engines designed to operate to meet Euro6 emission standards.
  17. The Honda turbo engines are designed to operate on RON91. but I am raising this out of curiosity in this tread as all the UK imports are designed to run on Euro6 standard fuel. Does anyone know the long term impact of using Euro4 fuel on these engines?
  18. Everyone has access to cellular data this day. which allows the use of most updated comprehensive map application for SL against all other options.
  19. Why dont you get the Ceramic coating done? It really does help me specially since mine is cosmic blue and it also does get dirty easily. it definitely does not need waxing. I can remove most of the general dust off just by spaying water (finger pressured hose) in the morning and both dust and water do not stick to the paint easily thus the car does not need much wiping off. But it does not mean you do not need to wash the car specially on rainy days the mud and wet dust spray from the tires will need the usual washing.
  20. Thanks Guys, I totally forgot about this option. If I am not mistaken, there is a white light option in Osram as well. Anywhere you guys suggest to buy the white halogens in SL? I know people who have brought them down on ebay. Not sure of the quality though.
