  1. Can you only do 1 one day transfers within 6 months? and to do another 1 day transfer you have to wait 6 months?? thats what the RMV site says. Is it the case?

@PerfMadI also had the issue of the license expiring, so I checked when handing over the book. There is a form you can fill and get it endorsed by them, which allows you to get the license done.

  2. Yeah I think I finally found out what I should do. I will be changing preseas every 2 months or so, so that I can keep searching for preseas, as well as drive different preseas at the same time. No matter how good the presea I have would be, I always after sometime feel its not good enough, I wanna own someone else's presea and easily get bored with mine. Just like I get bored with girls. So this is what i should do. Damn why didn't this come to my mind before???

I definitely recommend that psychiatrist, preferably immediately!

It's a new regulation. Went there last week for an H plate vehicle. Had to hand it in for normal service.

  4. Finding a woman is also like finding a Presea. All what's left available is cheap chassis damaged ones with many previous owners. One with lesser number of owners and good in shape don't come cheap and gets sold soon.

Instead of a Presea, might I suggest an appointment with a good psychiatrist first?

  8. My Montero Sport Saved my life today.

Took a T bone collision to the rear quarter panel, from a lorry, the thing came straight to the drivers door. I accelerated and saved my self, just got discharged from the hospital after a checkup,

No matter what new fellas say about crumple zones and what not, this thing is proper weight to weight. Just realise how strong these suvs are. Just a  large bump and I drove it home. Amazed realising it took tg awhile weight and was shoved to a side.

The lorry was a proper mahiyangana sand lorry, full load, the c**t was driving on a learners permit, couldn't control his reverse into the construction zone, lost control and rolled right onto me down a slope, face first. If I was in my vitz or a smaller car, I'd be in a morque now.

Cops took over the lorry momentarily but I deferred them.

Repair cost approx 100k, given I need a new wheel arch and tail light. And its pearl white, expensive bitch to paint.

Despite my parents and friends deciding to ruin his life legally, the driver is in the hospital after negotiations but I am not pressing charges or taxing him for the repair, as he will loose his livelihood and be in jail.

Best part is, if the car rolled over, I would be in the mahaweli river.

Dear friends, please give up smaller cars when money permits. Get something large and safe.

Due to privacy concerns I am unable to share pictures.

  9. Walking along Galle Face around 8:15ish, saw the tail of what looked like an A45 AMG Edition 1, white with a red spoiler, moving rapidly towards Colpetty. Could not discern any exhaust noise though. Can anyone confirm?

  14. yesterday I saw a car with a name starting with "G" and U or something.. the car had the shape of the GOLF from behind..it wasnt toyota or nissan, i saw it like a tuscani badge.. the name of the vehicle was carved right in the behind middle...KV or some number plate..anyone know what's the vehicle?

    1. Supra_Natural

      Supra_Natural

Well it could just be the person who saw it. As far as he's concerned the only cars on the road worth knowing about are Preseas.

Sounds like it was a Giulietta, which is an Alfa Romeo. Which has a badge that looks nothing "like a tuscani badge"..

Apparently that particular car is not in the greatest shape.

  17. Has anyone else seen the purple 300c on chrome rims, that guy must be high

    1. Supra_Natural

      Supra_Natural

      That 300C is a Hemi

Man has a lot of other bling cars. He has a hummer with a wesak thorana's worth of extra lights, a lotus espirit with chrome 20 odd inch rims

and (in my opinion) blingest of all... a Jaguar Xk8 convertible painted mint green with "lambo" doors and big chrome rims

Oh and a yellow callaway corvette, also with chrome rims.

Didn't you want to get something you could make a project out of though? The Gemini might not fit that bill.

  19. Found a super clean 80's Toyota Wagon. I feel like going the Shakotan way, small rims, fender flares, lowered springs, external oil cooler. Thoughts?

Tough to find early 4AGEs nowadays but not impossible.. Even the silver and blacktops from the FWD applications can be hooked upto RWD.

last I checked a guy quoted 175 k for engine, harness and ecu

  22. So heres a strange one; which cars here in SL have exceptionally high ground clearance and/or a short wheel base?

    1. Supra_Natural

      Supra_Natural

Viva Elite definitely does not have high ground clearance..

Aqua X-Urban, Micro Panda Cross-dresser etc come to mind also.

Oh and the Subaru XV also might qualify.

Joking aside, I think Kerosene might be your best bet to get them off.
