Strada,hilux,nissan.. What Is The Best Choice?
Sanjaya Ratnaweera replied to CK2's topic in General Automotive
23 lks for a 1990 manufactured Hilux is bit too much I guess. I bought a 1996 (58-xxxx) one couple of months ago for 22.5. Actually owner was asking for 24.5 and managed to negotiate. It's in very good condition and running for couple of months without issues(Only one off road trip so far though). I'm very happy with the performance, but as others also mentioned it's bit bumpy since all 4 leaf springs. But I'm ok with it as there're no complains from Wife or Mom ;-) ~sanjaya -
10 is normal in City limits. I drive the same model. It does around 10 (with A/C) in city limits. Does around 13-14 in outstations.

I bought a EOS 500D last month with 18-55 lens, 4GB memory and lens cleaning kit for 75K from ebay. But I've shipped it to friend of mine's place at US and he brought it down for me. (It's not because of tax, but I wanted the camera in one piece , not sure whether our custom handles those stuff carefully) ~sanjaya

Has Any One Bought Anything From E Bay ?

If you're coming from Pettah(by bus) get a 120 bus. IIRC you have to get down halt after Sampath bank City Branch. Always careful you don't have to go through anyone, just follow the procedure :-) Sometimes people might come to help. (Like in passport office and RMB) ~sanjaya -
FYI http://www.dailymirror.lk/index.php/news/3...ts-banned-.html This article was in today's paper, so no more tinted glasses for front it seems :-) ~sanjaya

Yes they do. I got to know yesterday that the other person working in that garage is the owner of that garage. His name is Dilan Adikari, who placed 4'th in Group SL-A Cars Upto 1050 CC, foxhill last year. He was running a charade. This time he's going to run a Mitsubishi minica Dangan this time :-). Thanks ~sanjaya -

Finally I think I've decided what to buy (Depending on the recommendation from uncle who owns a garage ). It's a Daihatsu Charade GTti Turbo (Patrol, 1987). Thanks a lot everyone for your comments and thoughts. ~sanjaya
