  1. Wrong mate! Vios is used in Singapore and Belta is used in Japan, and imported from those countries.
  2. Thanks for the wishes but saw it only today lol

  3. Do you guys think Brand new is better than recon ones? But my strong opinion is JDM's are 1000% better than the export models. When you ask the agents about this they tell those cars are made to suit our contry roads and climate. BULLSHIT!!! There are hundreds of thousand cars are running in the country and if you comparfe the same age Brand new imported cars and Recon cars you will find the difference and its quality. After three years of usage you will find all brand new imported cars are giving all sorts of noices after running in our country roads. Mechs remove the cathalitic converter or the water fan saying it doesn't suit our climate Then why do they fix it to the export models? Its nothin other than our bad emmissions and dirty air or the jumbo sized pot holes and the maintainance of our beloved users. Our guys use the cheap quality replacements like filters and spares. Finally if I bring to you guys notice, export models are not ment for our road conditions or enviroment!! It is made for our budget conditions Hence it is very cheap to buy a cheaply made car. JDMs are made for the highest quality, in other words they use the very best quality even if it is made in China. Japs use the best and send out the rest, we Sri Lankan's send the best tea out and consume the dust!!! Am I right?
  4. Infact I can show as many as unwanted forex outflows by importing cheap cars when compared to quality Jap Domestic cars. Only thing guys I'm not free now to post it. I shall do it at another time FYI.
  5. I was driving down to Chicago from Seattle in a Pontiac Grand Am 2000cc on I94 Motor way. I drove down the Montana Valley, covered 210 miles in exactly 2hrs and 10mins. Averaging almost 100miles per hour. In this stretch I was on 110mph for along time. Only few time broke the speed. (I had to set the Cruise control at just below 110mph as once it cuts off the speed comes very low and have to pick up the speed again) one full tank of Gas! , Entire drive was around 1800 miles covered in 39hours and 45 mins. And the entire stretch was driven by me, as my companion didn't have the licence to drive. I was on international driving permit, copped once in the drive and I was so lucky to be given a break by the cop stating "you're given a break being a foreigner but make sure you drive safe without hitting the deers crossing" I was at a speed of 88mph which was 18 over the allowed limit. But my next drive from Chicago to New york I got copped at 74mph and had to pay $145 fine I topped over 200kmph in a Chevrolet Astra, the Korean Shit in Malaysian Motorway. But I didn't experience any cut off of speed in that car!
  6. He's a wonderful guy who's really proud of his country. I have seen him in many places he really talk about his country in a big way. GOD BLESS HIM!
  7. That is the Export model Montero is cheap in price than the Japanese local model Pajero. That's because of its quality and the standards of the vehicle. And after three years this car comes at a very good price sometimes less than the Brand new montero price. Due to its quality and the maintainance standards and the road condition of Japan, these Pajeros are much much more better condition than the brand new imported montero. If you happened to experience any three year old Jap domestic car (Any Brand) and a Brand new car from the agents and , you use it for a 12 month period with equal usage. You'll see the brand new car is already hacked than the jap domestic car. This is where the quality stands. It's very dificult explain the quality in words, you should experience it by yourself. If I give you another example. Check out the most fancied Camry at the agents. The plastic parts in the interior has very sharp edges. even it could cut your hand. But simply look at a Camry which is at a used car sale (It's not the Jap domestic but made to another developed country at higher standards) and compare. You will see a clear difference in what I'm saying.

  9. Good Morning guys, It's not driving an Cheap Indian car or a Foreign car. It's all about how governments one sided biz policy. If we take into consideration about the Indian Cars they are not even compatible with Euro1 Standards in emmission. Where India allows only to produce Euro 3 standards for their country. Japs they make the best car for them with the highest standards for themselves whereby the used cars are coming from Japan, those highest standard cars, and they make export models to suit those countries economical status (What we get as new cars are those cars made for the 3rd world countries, like Sri Lanka Africa and other under developed countries). And for Japs, they got to inspect their car periodically and pass the fitness test. Further, if I give a simple example the Mitsubishi Montero sold to our market is priced only JPY1,700,000.00 Whereas a new Pajero(Name used in Japan for Montero) in Tokyo before Taxes JPY 3,400,000. Look at the huge difference. NOW WHOM DO YOU THINK SEND JUNKS TO US? Maruti is paid only 300000 as duty, where as for the same Japanese Alto have to pay 850000 duty. Thereby import of Maruti's are well over 700 a month, so how much of foreign exchange go out for JUNKS? Why this double standards? It's Politico's pockets. There are many used car dealers so they cant go to each and every one to ask for their pockets but they hang on to one person it's easy for them to make their bucks. Am I right guys?

  12. Government has decided to reduce the age limt to import used cars into Sri Lanka. From the 1st of Feb only 2 year old cars can come into the country Basically there will be only new cars in the market (as no one is willing to dispose a car so soon), and thereby an entire Recon car industry is going to collapse. May be country may be flooded with Cheap Indian and Chinese cars. I can suggest it's gonna be like a disposable razor, Use and throw. And Japs will never be cheap in the future as too many buyers gonna chase too little cars (in Japanes Auctions). What do you guys have to say?
