  1. Well Big_D i could ask the same for fuel we are putting to our cars as well... coz non of our fuel we put are not up to our car manuals right !!!.. but they still works... Honda has said 0w-20, 5w-20 and 10w-30 to get the max efficient from the engine for fuel consumption...[and they do not guarantee that it will not stop/reduce the engine friction and my concern is the engine friction...so i went for 15W-40 Mobil] where i am not that bothered about fuel consumption at the moment anyways today i did a gear oil change its Honda CVTF cost me Rs.8000 for 4L and used only 3.2L something... and funny enough i called the Agents on Friday and asked for an appointment and then they said they dont have the CVTF with them and when i asked when it will be available the guy said he does not know!!! what the Hell... i mean dont they know when they are running out of stocks and the estimated time of getting them back ??? I hope more and more people will come-up with good maintenance station where we can get our cars checked... you know... why do we always have to get disappointed like this... btw has anyone gone to this Hybrid Motors Lanka and Maligawatta ???
  2. Dear Friends, Thank you for the information... well true that there is nothing special behind the servicing... but i wanted to know about the SAE of the oil... mostly.. and the CVT gear coz i am new to Auto gear box Has anyone gone to this new Hybrid Motors Lanka place ??? if so please share your experience... well Thanks again for the info
  3. Well i am hoping to hear some valuable information other than bashing whoever post some question about Hybrids... please put up useful information, else leave the post alone.... People how are really want to help me please do so and post... Thanks again...
  4. Dear Friends, Well its time for me to service my Insight and I wish to know more before I go for it… Please tell me; About the Oil SAE grade I should use…? Coz now the car is in SL do I need to go for 0W-20 as per the manual? When I was reading on the Net some say to go for 5W-20 or 10W-30 but my worry is that these oil grades are very low and they are just good for fuel efficient but not to save the engine with the friction!!! Am I not correct? So is it ok to go for at lest 10W-30 or 20W-40 ? I am new to Automatic gear boxes so please tell me the intervals that you guys prefer to change the gear oil and from where to do it? My car has a CVT gear box. Is there a specific gear oil to be used and do I have to get it from the agents always?? If no; what sort of gear oil I should be looking for? And finally one stop shop that I can get all of the above done within the Colombo area... Or any place my Insight people has gone for servicing which you can recommend Thanks….

  6. Hi there, what if the manual says something like bellow; is it saying i can pump starting from 90 to 95 if available 100 Oct ??? Gasoline: Unleaded gasoline, pump octane number of 87 or higher. This was taken from the 2009 Insight car manual...
  7. Why not... at the moment i am staying in Nigeria... and its a nice place... not much greenery though... and they have enough fuel... almost all the commercial buildings get power from Generators... and Jet fuel mix with gas oil... i really do not know what he meant to say there
  8. How do you know that they mix fuel like that; while staying at Mahargama ??? are you working in some sort of an Intelligence network ??? have u ever been to Nigeria???
  9. Hi all, Well this is to inform u all and to thanks for those who took there time to post their ideas about my matter. Well I went to “Car Care” centre where they do it as a regular task when doing the wheel alignment. As “Arc Angel” mention, they also use a hydraulic jack to adjust the camber. Well now they have fixed my issue and I thank all, for your time and concern. Now I have to wait and see how it affects the tires, and I can recommend others who are suffering from fix camber issues to this place. Good staff friendly and understandable…
  10. --------- Hey gihan, its because u do not have fix Camber, when come to my matter there is nothing on top to adjust... you guys are very lucky coz u can adjust it and get a smart look from the wheels, you know what i mean... but not for the long run . well now i have 2 options have to get down there and check whether they can do anything to my car

  15. hi guys, Does anyone know how to adjust or change a Fix camber in a Honda City. Now Honda City 99 model comes with a Fix camber and when the camber adjustment is out, there is no way that u can fix(as I know) it and it will lead to an unwanted tire wear… I know that there are lots of city owners hopes one of u guys have an answer for me…. Thanks in advance….
