  1. R u referring to the 2013-14 hybrid accord?
  2. Didn't find any difference in the performance. Both were same except the outlander more quite and not too comfortable. And the fact that you can run solely on ev mode (electric) for about 30-40 km.
  3. Actually i agree that the mode premier is a better variant than the normal X trail Hybrid. Test drove both and went for the Mode Premier. i thought the difference was because of the wider wheels and didnt know the suspension setup was also different. but unfortunately now making the dollar and the yen going up as a reason importers might quote absurd prices for this. Drove the outlander also. the interior looked pretty dull compared to the X trail. the engine sound is a bit quite than the x trail. (the x trail engine does sound a little bit loud) but i have a good feeling that the 2013-2014 outlander could be facelifted to the latest one. its just a matter of time until someone tires it out.
  4. that comment cracked me up more than the picture. Epic!! it looks to me like one roof rail is lower than the other, or may be its the way the pic was taken.
  5. Why not the Honda Accord Hybrid? There is a used Mazda 6 in colonial for around 5.4 mill. The 2.5ltr will be around 9 million I'm guessing. Not 100% sure though.
  6. I bought an Accord few months back. It's doing around 11.8 - 12.5 kmpl in Colombo while in traffic. When I travel to factory it does around 17 max and in the highway around 21 max.
  7. My dad decided to buy a vezel to replace the sore to which had served as the rough use vehicle. I think he thought that it would serve both as a suv and an economical vehicle and went ahead with it ignoring my protest. My work place is about 60km from Colombo and I usually use both my F10 or the Sorento to travel to work. When I used the the vezel the first problem I had was overtaking. The damn thing doesn't pull when on Eco mode and when you switch it off I don't feel any different, when I tried the sports mode it does tend to accelerate but you really get confused with the paddle shift cuz when you down shift the vehicle up shifts by itself. I have never come across any other vehicle which does this. I don't know if there is any special way I need to drive this vehicle? I'm not a person who looks at the fuel economy but the figures i got from running in the vezel was 450km from 34.34ltrs. The only good thing I feel is You don't have to worry about the road condition unlike the F10 which is somewhat low. And it's easy to park comparing the size difference. No I'm not comparing the vezel and F10. I just don't think that it can be called an suv. Its not an ideal vehicle for out station running. I can't think of it as an suv. It's just a bit higher than a car. I actually don't see much of a difference using an Allion compared to this. This is just my personal opinion. I repeat "personal opinion"

Well seats aside, I don't see any difference between the Beemer and the crown when I'm using it daily. Sometimes the crown feels alittle bit fragile, like at certain roads, it feels like the wheels might fall off any moment, lol. Never had that feeling with the Beemer though. Out of the subject, I just hate the combination of new car and ruts in the road! Some times even the most perfect road has a rut somewhere!!

The car is very comfortable. Very powerful, almost 300+ bhp. Radar guided cruise control. Collision warning and automatic braking. Night vision camera. Memory seats with seat heaters and coolers. Suction doors. Rwd. These are some of the pros. (Those options normally come in a merc s class if I'm not mistaken. in this case in a 2008 model and a car worth around the 7million. That's y I put them as pros) Cons would be, for some reason the tyres in the crown get wasted really quickly. It's not a problem with the tyre brand. Cuz I've used Dunlop and birdgestone. Maximu it can service is 15,000km. I had to change the tyre 3 times. Even though a toyota, a service use to cost at a range of 30k at the agent. Even out side it was similar when I checked. It's very hard for 3 people to fit in the back. The handling is too soft. For a large car u only get a very small boot as the battery takes half the boot to fit. Those are some of the points I can think right now. No it's with the usual 17" wheels. Right now Il just use these wheels. Will consider 19" later may be, not now. He he. I love the way the Beemer handles. The crown was too soft when it comes to handling. Definitely I can't compare the power of this and the crown. This does have a good acceleration for a diesel. But it takes time to get to speed. Sorry, haven't driven a 320d. Reason is, Never could fit into it. Lol.

yes, the dream got shattered when i herd how much it cost!!! not a very big fan of the current merc range, looks wise. just my personal view. still i dont think il be able to afford a merc for my price range. iv always loved the whole experience with the e39. thats what made me go for another beemer 5 series.

    My New Ride

after nearly 2 years i have bid farewell to the crown. the most comfortable luxury Japanese car i have owned and will ever own i guess. had good and bad memories but enjoyed everybit. a fast and comfortable car. it did around 6.5 - 7.5 km/l city running and around 11 - 12 km/l out station and a tad bit more when in the highway. this is the latest addition. going back to a beemer after 7 years i think. after my E39 525i. 2012 F10 520d the previous owner had fitted a M Sport Body kit and a Spoiler. Feedback are welcome!
