A Permit Or License Required To Import Used Seat Sets?
CruiserFan replied to CruiserFan's topic in General Automotive
Thanks! I called Import Export Dept and they said permits to import USED seat sets are no longer issued, hence one cannot import used seats anymore. Brand new seats can be imported using a permit (still issued). -
HI Does anybody know if a permit or license is required to import Japanese used seat sets to Sri Lanka? Or can anybody import them without any special documents? What will be the custom tax/duty for seat sets imported? Thanks /C

Folks, This is a very good and very valid question. This is my 2cents. High Ampere Hours (Ah) means not high current, it is the ability to provide the normally required current for long hours without draining the battery. E.g. In Hilux (same case in Land Cruisers) if an electric winch is used, the battery should be able to operate it without draining the battery quickly. Also high Ah means the alternator is safe. Hiace Dolphin requires dual battery if they have dual A/C installed, unless the single battery will drain so soon. Hope this helps!

Auto Transmission Hiace Kdh200
CruiserFan replied to KSR Siriwardana's question in Electrical problems
I'm not a Hiace expert, but my opinion is this. SL People don't like Auto Transmission because.. - More fuel consumption compared to a manual - High maintenance of brake parts, because with the mode of SL driving (repetition of over acceleration and braking) due to traffic even in long distance travel. - SL Drivers not used to driving Auto's (as said above, driving Auto's in mountain roads needs extra skill). But Auto Transmission has advantages as well... It is more reliable than manual gearbox (IF USED and MAINTAINED TIMELY AND PROPERLY), no hassle of changing clutch plates and pressure plates. Hope this helps...and choice is yours... /CruiserFan -
AutoLanka is Simple, Fast, Standardized, User Friendly and mostly all functions work! I don't think any changes required.... This site should continue as it is....
