Also the races are scheduled to start at 8pm and run on until midnight....

The VVIP 3000rs Ticket stand is on the world trade centre road (adjoining dutch hospital) and thus has access to food and beverages.... tickets are sold out on anything.lk but Galadari and continental did have a few left for sale... from what i know the stands wont be covered (that could change) and the GT3/GT4 class may have a 'display' run and not actual race... When i get more info will pass it along to everyone....

Just returned from the Redbull air show in Unawatuna... from my home in colombo 05 it took us 30 mins to get to kottawa (left at 11.30am) and averaging 110 kmph to 130 kmph it took us 50 mins to get to galle... from the last exit to una was literally 5 mins as the road is fantastic even after the expressway to main galle road... The expressway is everything this country needs... from what i saw, people were actually keeping to their lanes and overtaking when needed and shifting back to the left lane...discipline was no problem... the road itself is fine! for all you complainers and whiners, trust me, i have been on waaaaaaaaaay worse highways in New York and New Jersey! There is nothing wrong with the size of the lanes or even the soft/hard shoulders... everything is clearly demarcated and done to high levels... finally we sri lankans can go down to galle and come back within a few hours and not feel tired out... fantastic!

‎- Since 2004 I've been coming for Drags, taking part and wishing that one day an event legally held at green path would happen... finally it did! The reason why an event like this becomes a success is simply down to the people that take part... we are lucky to have a group of people that love what we do... race each other hard and at the end of the day are still great friends... I can say that through out this month, I've met some awesome people, made new friends and increased the love i have for this sport... Lets make damn sure that come January, Sri Lanka will stand out further for having some of the best prepared cars and more importantly a fantastic group of sportsman! The R35 run's a 11.8 on a stock setup with its Launch control activated.. The STi's and Evo's, depending on the extent of engine work, should run anywhere from high 14's to low 12's. It will be interesting for sure to watch the 4WD Open Class. No. Like preveen said.... we shall see on the day! : )

Yep.... so far we have in the 4WD Open Both R35 GTR's, 16 STi's, 7 Evo's and other cars.... the 2WD Open has the R33 Skyline, R32 Skyline, 300zx Twin Turbo, 3 Big Turbo Starlet GT's (Including Sacha's monster), 370Z, BMW M3 and a few suprise entries ; ) ...In total Cars with the other classes, the amount of cars taking part will be close to 150 vehicles....

Preliminary Registration for the Drag's 2011 are officially open on the CMSC (Ceylon Motor Sports Club) group page on facebook. Please post your full Name and Email address on the page. The Event will be capped for the first 150 entries. Entry forms will be sent via Email to the registered participants on the group page. Upon receiving the form, Please print and hand it over with a recent passport sized photograph for your ONE DAY competition licence, to the CMSC office.
