  1. You guys are JOKING right? The car isn't made of wood its only called the "Woodighini" because the fabricator's (builder's) nick name is 'woody'. The bugger is said to be a steel fabricator so most likely the bodywork is fabricated out of a metal alloy......

    ok ok my bad,

i followed my own link and thet went to a different replica article,i mixed them up, here's what i was going for

    ROTFL

ahhh Devinda, why did you go and spoil the poor guy's day dreams :P:lol:

  3. I don't know if there is another thread for this but here goes.....

Armed with time and skill, a steel fabricator from Canada named Woody has done an incredible job transforming a $60 mid-engined Pontiac wedge into an amazing homage to the Lamborghini Reventon.

    EDIT

  4. Aiyo, what is that man? No big deal. This is the way to go.

    man,thet pulsar is SICK!!! :grinning-smiley-043:

in all fairness though,if it had been a RS4 or a EVO the race would have been much closer because that viper struggled to put its power down at the start.

  5. mate...

just my opinion so don't take it the wrong way :)

I aint saying life is easy on SL roads. But it's their job to be shifting 13 gears or more all the time.. Hell i go through lot more crap than that on a daily basis at work... you cant be taking that out on other folks and drive like morons on the road cos life is tough for you..

These days it's tough for all of us in our own unique ways...

IMHO these drivers are not at all disciplined and know enough about the vehicles they are driving... especially when then blister pass you topping 70-80kmh in even narrow roads..

The momentum a heavy truck carries at speed makes it nearly impossible to make a controlled stop...

i doubt these guys know this well enough or even give a damn about it...

And also when was the time a car or a trishaw cut across a truck or any other large vehicle for that matter... These bigger vehicles fellas drive like they own the road cos they know all the smallese have no choice but to get out of the way...

mate I agree with you mostly, but i've seen people entering the road when they can clearly see a semi coming.that's what i mean by "cutting across".

i have to drive a isuzu juston and a 350 tipper sometimes in my field of work(construction/hardware shop),and i can tell you it's pure hell dealing with the incosiderate buggers who cut across me,the process we have to go through to get the momentum going again.

but these problems are not just limited to the road, the whole "me first" mentality needs to change :) :) :)

  6. Any Idea on this guys. What will be wrong? My O/D Gere is not working.

    Regards,

    Kasun

um i'm not sure about this but the problem may be the throttle position sensor(TPS) not working,I have seen korean cars that had their TPS broken not shifting to second gear and not going above 20kmph,anyway the best thing is to consult an expert on this, don't go and replace the gear box immediately because some guy says so,it may be just a small problem.good luck.

  7. actually I have sympathy with the truck drivers, these guys have to drive 13 or more gear trucks in sri lanka, with all the idiots cutting across their way forcing them to stop.most of the semi trucks here are manual transmission so they have to go through a grueling routine of shifting gears to get up to normal speed, just think of having to shift your car 10 or more times everytime a three wheeler cuts across your way.,then you'll have some idea what these guys go through.

I never cut across a semi truck as a principle, even if they are a long way off,I stay till they go past, because if you fail to make the turn they can't stop like other cars, and if they do brake hard they run the risk of slinging the container out of control like in the movies.

    here's a video of shifting in a 18 speed truck- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sM-kcFxsyCk

  8. 14. (For Girls) If you are asked to be Body checked, it's your right to get it done by a female cop. If they don't have one in present, DENY their action.

I think No.14 should be applied to everyone.

I can tell from personal experience that it's not a good feeling when some hairy cop gropes around your no-no area. :speechless-smiley-023:

  9. yeah GFX,KRK sucks,I once went there recently and the guy there didn't know what the hell he was talking about.

samare also worked with ranjith at wow's berfore he broke away and started nilakto.

hey, does any of these guys have paint booths,i only know nilakto doesn't have one.

btw-does ranjith still have that autozam?

    cheers.

  10. These guys are famous for Fiber work but they also do painting and other work too, prices are different to each other

    Vonmec - Janitha - 0777309641

    Macvud - Asanka - 0777726045

    Nilakto - Samare - 071-4879103

    WOW's - Ranjith - 0716233332

To repair my front buffer lip and to paint it janitha said he want 8 and Ranji said 4, recently to do an accident repair for one of my friends car, Ranji asked 45 and Janitha 30, i must say janitha's work quality is better, 99% of Sl modified cars come to these for places, the rest 1% go to another famous guy to have aerodynamic designs and to improve performance of their cars and vans by body kits

I can personally vouch for samare of nilakto, that guy did the bodykit on my sol, efini and crx, prices are average.and ranjith is o.k,he did some work on mine when samere and he was working together.

the main thing to watch out with these guys is the finishing date, don't believe the date they say ur car will be finished.double it to be safe.

  11. this is a time the opposition REALLY should be up in arms, instead of tooting horns when the price goes up..

in a way people deserve a government like this, if they arent even willing to stand up for something as simple as this, and just simply keeps bending over all the time. I bet the next time a barrel hits 100 again the prices will go up and they gov will just say "prices have gone up in the world market hence the increase"

    Very true

and it's quite ironic that the government media which kindly kept us updated 24/7 on the oil prices when it was going up with a special ticker on their screen havent heard the news of it going down again

  12. def not here machan.....got this mail some time back.....hate to see it happen here...luckily i hvnt heard of any incidents here

There have been several incidents like that here, not sure about fatalities.

BTW-hey Ripper, mate, what's the ready mix Carrier story?
