  1. Guys, just to give you an update. I took the car to Mazna motors, as predicted it turned out to be a replacement of rear ABS sensor and rear break pads were also not in good condition. So they did the replacement both sensor and break pads and I also did an engine tune up cos Ive been feeling a small vibration/miss in the engine. All and all, they took about three hours to complete the task it cost me around 30K. I was really happy with the job they did from the reception to end. Their staff were like they knew exactly what they were doing and they had all required spare parts too. Just thought of sharing with you guys.
  2. Thanks guys, any idea how to track the model number? Anyway will take a photo and share and also ..
  3. Guys, Little help, I recently bought this car and it has a Kenwood Set Up with Navigation etc. etc. However, I still couldn't find the way how to connect to Bluetooth via my i phone. Googled, youtube nothing helpful. Previous owner also dosn't know ,cos he never used it. So where do you think I could get it sorted from, should I go to P**tco or Adv***. Since it is apparently a new model of Kenwood, highly likely that it should have the Bluetooth connect to phone feature. Any ideas guys....
  4. Many thanks guys. I will soon get back with the feedback
  5. Before emptying the tank, like @Davy, I would suggest to check the petrol pump under the backseat for any leaks.
  6. Yes, I checked the break fluid level and the break pads, they were working fine. Thanks mate, this is great, will go through it and let you know the feedback. The error code was "c1175". Since the scanner did not have a option to select "ford laser", the baas fellow did the scan using Mazda, familia. I hope thats correct right? As both of you have suggested, it could be a makabaas solution to replace the whole unit. I will visit Mazna and do a proper scan soon.
  7. Well yeah so far so good. Sometime I kinda feel small unusual accelerations during transmission. But I keep ignoring Anyways, have it checked at Mazna Motors , if it has anything to do with the Gear Box, I suggest you go to Nilwala Garage.
  8. Guys.. mine is Ford 2000 (BJ5), My ABS and Hand break indicators have been blinking lately. When I did a scan it indicated a fault in the Rear ABS sensor and my mechanic told me to replace the Rear ABS sensor and the ABS unit in the car. Since these are difficult to find for my model , would appreciate a second opinion. Have any one of you all experienced this and how did you sort it out.. Many thanks in advance
  9. Hey sorry for the delay mate. Being out from the forum lately. I was able to run about One or Two months with the repair. That too with few visits to Chandana for minor repairs. So I would not guarantee that, instead go for a Gear box it self. It will save your time and stress.
  10. Could be something to do with the auto transmission. Do you feel any issues with the transmission like delay in transmitting in to gears or delays in the morning. I've had the same issue with my Ford and it lead to changing the gear box itself. So better have it checked soon ...
  11. Many thanks for your valuable comments @matroska. If I'm to buy a used GP1, how much do you think is the minimum battery life % that I should go for, if I'm to use the vehicle for about two three years and sell...?
  12. HI can I know for how much did you get the unreg GP1 please, I'm also looking to buy a GP1 with my budget if 3.5 million but afraid to do so as many says not to buy a used hybrid. What's your take on it and let me know how much did it cost you to buy the unreg GP1
  13. Guys just to give you a update on my gear box... Fixing did not sort the issue. I kept on getting the same problem again and again. So I decided to change my gear box and did it. Chandana hooked me up with a Gear box for 55k. He deducted the initial 35K I paid him to repair and charged only 20k. Its now been running ok for one month....
  14. Hi Guys, Well I must say, He fixed it the first time. However, after about couple of weeks I was having some trouble again when transmitting. Putting to Drive in cold start was Ok, but while I was driving I kinda felt transmission was not happening smoothly. After a day or two the Hold button again started blinking. So when to him and fixed it. Again after another two weeks Ive had issues, then to see ATF was leaking. Took it to him again. Now again last Sunday when I was driving back from Kandy to Cmb the "hold" button pops up again to my greatest disappointment. The gear was transmittinig beyon 2nd gear I guess and was not speeding beyond 40 kmph. Luckily it was downhill from Kandy not uphill...I managed to reach home after 4 or five hours in traffic. I was so stressed not knowing when it was going stop moving. Then I called Nilwala and found out that the main guy C***** is out of country and coming back only on 01st Jan 2017. Imagine my situation. cant go to someone else again as he was repairing it whole this time. On top of that my wedding is coming up in January and hell of a lot of driving to do.. Frustrated bro. Jimmy
  15. Hi Ive had the same issue before in my Ford Laser..Shown to Nilwala Garage at Ambuldeniya. He fixed it for a while but the problem kept coming back. Why dont you show to him and see.
