Its not the rack end. Its the whole steering rack.(Part of rack and pinion steering system). No nise but the steering wheel returning back issue and sometimes steering turning might little bit hard.

Hi Guys, Maybe you guys who are using viva elites are well aware that this small car has a steering rack issue. 03 of my friends got their cars steering racks replaced( Mileages rnd 10k,38K and 30K) during the warranty period.( Normal cost to replace it from U*I*MO is around 80K) So if you feel your steering wheel is not returining to its original position after driving through a bend, better to check this out. If your car is under warranty,better to inform them about it ASAP! Anyone heared about this issue before?

Hi Guys, Does anyone knows what engine oil suits most for VIVA Elites? Cos I'm about to do my 03rd Service( @10K),apart from Agents and the VALVOLINE oil is vere rare in my area. So i'm stucked between CALTEX,MOBIL and CASTROL. Pls advise.

Well, the vehicle has been serviced accordingly( At 1K and 5K) from agents, by previous owner.The 3rd service is scheduled at 10K(Which is not marked as done on agents records yet) and the last registered mileage on agents system is 8.8K during a minor repair. ( Found, later by me). Meantime the previous owner has sold it to a broker while the ODO was 10.2K( With one service from agents remaining).Thats when the guy has turned the meter to 3.9K to increase the value.But he has serviced it from outside before giving it to me.( Because he knows it should be serviced at 10K) So i purchaised it with that condition( With open papers) and now i've driven it upto 6.9K so far.Thats why i mention the original reading should be around 13K. The vehicle is in good condition and i really satisfied its performance and features. Thats the scenario. Note: This individual mastered in selling VIVA Elites and is located in Ma*a*e area and most of his vehicles advertised are like this.He is very good at it.

Does anyone know the difference between Ca-Maintenance free(MF/SMF) battery and a General Lead acid Battery? Plas advice beacause now a days most of the batteris comes with this Calcuim thing. Anyone know the chemistry behind this?

Yep.Thats the other thing about Pandas.Very bad on fuel. Seems the vehicle is much heavier as per my friend who owns panda cross 1.3 But its fully loaded. So better to check it out.

Well..AFAIK..Micro Panda is just a local name used by Micro campany and the original manufacturer is Geely, one of the top car manufacturers in China(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geely). So it cannot be bad but there is an issue when finding spares specially when it comes to body parts.So if you met with an accident which cause body parts replacement, you have to wait so long as per a friend of mine who owns Panda cross.( Later version of Panda).

yeah its true. i didnt check those things since this vehicle has just passed 08 months since 1st registration and was with great condition.So only issue is with meter reading. My bad.

Hi Guys, Wanna know whether there is any rule over this? I recently bought a second hand car ( Imported Brand new through agents by previous owner) from a broker( i never knew that, as he said its his wifes brothers car) and found that the digital odometer was reversed from 13k to 3.5k, as it is in excellent condition. It was done by him, not the previous owner.The thing is my vehicle is still under warranty and i cannot take it to the dealers now since the registered mileage on them are 3k-4k higher than the current vehicle odo reading. So what needs to be done over this? I mean over the guy? because i have seen him advertised so many same type vehicles on the WEB and news papers with lesser odo readings and i dont like see others facing the same issue like me.

@ Sampath, Is there any condition that Unimo is not giving warranty if the vehicle is transferred to 2nd owner? Im driving Viva Elite 2012/May Registered car and I'm the 2nd Owner.( Warranty upto May 2014) I think i have this Shock issue, so better to check it from them. Any comment on this ownership issue?

Well, thats what i also thought, soon after finding the mismatch in odometer, but now i realize that i might take it to dealers/agents right away because i noticed a noise from front wheels while driving it on flat concrete roads.But it never come while driving on carpet roads. Seems a problem in suspension. I'm not sure.Any suggestions?
