  2. The difference between BKR5E-11 and BKR6E-11 is the heat range. First one is more hotter than the latter. all the other aspects are the same. it is not advisable to switch between heat ranges bcos more hotter plug can damage the engine. On the other hand colder ones do not damage the engine but fouls in a much shorter period. Irriduim plugs are also available it ends with suffix IX as mentioned. As i mentioned above BKR5E-11 's Irridium option would be BKR5EIX. 11 means the plug gap is 1.1mm. But with Irridium the plug gap is not adjustable i think. Thanks
  3. There is a sensor called "Mass Air Flow Sensor" normally fitted in between the air filter and the throttle body. Once this sensor gets contaminated the same kind of symptoms could appear. Please have a good look at this sensor through a qualified technician as this is a very fragile and easily get damaged. I strongly advice you to have this inspected before going any further.. Thanks
  4. There is a mechanical part called "Thermostat" in every engine to keep the engine in optimum operating temperature. this helps to burn fuels in more efficient way keeping the fuel economy and minimizing the pollution. The thing is Sri Lankan mechanics always tend to remove this part every time they do a engine repair.. better check the thermostat is still there with the engine.
  5. Hi Priya, If you can give us details how we can have those is much appreciated. Thanks

    Electric Fan Kit

Hi dhp, Its an old lancer.. Actually the stock fan is fixed to the water pump without even a fan clutch. so it spins w'ther the engine is cold or hot.. I heard that those fans are consuming engine power thus effecting the milage. So i thought of doing this as an experiment all by my self.. I think the electric thermostat is the harder part, right?? if you can help me to find parts, and places, would be much appreciated.. Thanks in advance

    Electric Fan Kit

Has anyone here installed an electric fan replacing their stock radiator fan?? If so more info in this is much appreciated..
  8. I searched the web and found lots of places with the matching one. They are much expensive when coupled with shipping expenses. The thermostat is much neglected part in an engine, specially in sri lanka. no one cares about it. but when it malfunctions either engine over heating or running below efficient temperature will result.. Thanks
  9. Please help me to find a Thermostat Valve for my old Mitsubishi Orion engine. If you can give me a place where to buy would be much appreciated. The thing is the engine never comes to its normal operating temp. i know this will increase fuel consumption and efficiency too. most of the mechanics remove these stuff thinking its useless. if its useless why does the manufacturer fixes them?? Please help me to find it.. dont just say that my engine is too old and live with what it has.. Thanks
  10. Thanks mate. I just wanted to do the timing in a proper way..
