  1. it's me again. all of you will think that I am asking lot of questions lately. that is b'cos I am rebuilding my MINI. so guys if you know any key points (How to minimize the fuel burning) to minimize the fuel wastage of a mini, please let me know. I just want to tune-up the engine to save fuel go eazy on my wallet. thanks.
  2. I agreed with you very much. I started driving a mini almost 6 months ago. no matter how much money spend over it I cannot let it go. You can't even explain how it feels like when driving a mini. I think for a small family this car is not bad. it is an all rounder in cost, space, style , classic and also speed. MINI is the best car in the world. it is the only car that has not been modified its shape up to now. in 1960's also it is like this. now also it is same. cheears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Hi, i need some help choosing a paint for my mini. I like it with shine. so what kind is better. 2k, local paint or metlic paint and also i need to preserve the classic look of my mini thanks.
  4. Can anyone please tell me where can I buy pair of cristal lights for rear, total set for my mini. i couldn't find any thanks [email protected]
  5. I can answer your first question. if you use flat top pistons your engine will perform very aggresive.it vill be very fast. very quick responce. accselaration will be very high and also you can hear your engine beat without a beat silancer. AND ALSO because of flat top pistans the presure inside the engine will be high. you have to use a good packing set for your engine (british packing set) and the oil presure of your engine is high. do not put oil higher than the MIN mark of the oil tester. and you have to use a fiber washer in the engine oil nut at the sump. if you follow these it will work fine. this is all through experince. in my mini I HAVE A MODIFIED FLAT TOP ENGINE. IT CAN GO UP TO 80 KMPH IN JUST 10-15 SECONDS. OH!... YEAH IT FEELS GOOD have a nice day.
  6. ok.. for srilankan roads I think it is better to use size 12' wheels. the reasons are 1. a mini is a small car, so if you use size 13' wheels it won't go wih your car. your mini will look like WHEELS not like a MINI. 2. AND if you use size 10' wheels then your car specially your engine will get much closer to the ground. and you know how our roads that have huge humps and holes, and your sump will get damaged. for better use you can use broad wheels like 165 or 185 and use a low profile tyre like 165-60-12 or 165-55-12 or 185-60-12 like wise always try to use a low profile tyre if you are using other than size 10' wheels. because otherwise it will be hard to stear withouting power stearing
