  1. Im not sure on this part since Brand New status can be stated in the CR for cars which got down by Authorized Agents (Unless this is imported by A*W). for parts, why don't you check with Wijerama area Part dealers (Few calls would do). i believe its the same engine (K Series Boosterjet) which shared among Baleno, Swift and Vitara. so apart from Body parts, i dont think it would be much of an issue for Running gear. by the way, is this is a AWD Model? for that Price, it's well worth it.

    Brake system failure

It's Not ABS System Resetting (Resetting and ABS Auto Bleeding is 2 Different Things). it's called "ABS System Auto Bleed". only Advanced Scanners (Launch Creed or OEM Scanners) would support this feature. General Scanning would not detect Air in the ABS Unit.

    Brake system failure

Have you Done the ABS unit bleeding using a scanner? i strongly advise do a better diagnostic before throwing cash to replace parts blindly.

Is the Grand Vitara worth it?

Interesting, i don't see any issues if the conversion is done properly.

Is the Grand Vitara worth it?

Hmm, isn't R2 is from Mazda? i know some times Manufactures use, different Manufactures engines for Diesel Variants, for example 3rd Gen Vitara uses Renault F9Q Engine in Diesel Variant. but check whether 1st Gen Vitara uses Suzuki Diesel or something else.

    Brake system failure

Adding to what Davey said, there's a Method to get rid of the Air in ABS Module using a scanner called "Auto Air Bleeding ABS Module". this will require a fully fledged scanner like launch creed or you might need to consult the the Agents. below link contains how it has been done. once this is done, air trapped inside the Module will enter the brake lines and you should follow the normal bleeding process (Pedal Pump or Vacuum Machine method) to get rid of the trapped air in the lines. you can do this in manual way by Slamming the brakes on a gravel road or ground (where there's no traffic) to activate the ABS and activate all the solenoids in the ABS module, but doubt the success.

CHR 1200cc colombo city Fuel consumption per liter

I'm getting the similar figures (6.5-7.0 kml) on my Vitara which is a 2.0L AWD on similar route (Wijerama - Dematagoda OrionCity). i thought it was a gas guzzler. čśŞ

Yes, Recently bought Leather Balm and Cleaner Kit. they are Authentic.
  11. try partsouq.com, megazip.net or amayama.com. partsouq contains the part catalog, when you enter your VIN.
  12. As Far As i know, there were no 2 Break Lamps in one housing. one is a Rear Fog Lamp (Most of them were rewire to act as a Brake Lamp by locals). could be a aftermarket tail lamp.

My New Ride : Mistubishi Lancer CS1 GLX (A/T) YOM 2007

Wow!, Sampath did you remove the wheel cylinders and check for any rust? and check the washers. when i got the Vitara, recently overhauled the brakes and for my surprise, both rear wheel cylinder washers were leaking, Front left side Piston is corroded but not leaking, since agents didn't carry the parts, i have ordered them online. looks like the previous owner didn't even care to change the brake fluid and hence the consequences. and That Brake fluid can very similar to Seiken Brake fluid, perhaps Seiken is the Supplier for Mitsubishi?

Is all wheel drive worth the money?

Recently switched to a Grand Vitara and Boy why wouldn't i love the All wheel Drive of this thing. at fraction of cost of Fuel, it gives a far reachability than my previous Car. Yes you have to take care of Differential and Transfer case oil etc, but i must say, it's well worth the extra cost. Even between 2WD Vitara and AWD variant, there's difference with Suspension, Lower Arms etc. 2WD version is little bit lower in Ground Clearance as well.

    New car/crossover for permit

True on Toyotas as well, All the Agent imported cars came with Rough Road package (aka Stiff suspensions, Higher ground clearances, Steering Rack differences etc.) and better tolerating plastics on dashboard etc (Corolla 141 never had dashboard going bonkers but the Axios). some of the brand new imported cars (Suzuki Wagaon R Premium Hybrid) came with ECUs tuned to local Fuel as well. and i'm sure most of the Euros were Tropicalized as well to suit local conditions.
  22. Go for The Luxel, it' simple, you know the History of the Car than Unknown Car. as iRage mentioned, this specimen looks fully loaded as well. for 2ZR-FE, those are very solidly built engines (Family owned a Premio with the Same Engine). get it checked with the agents, and change the usual suspension bits, such as lower arm bushes, D Bushes of Sway Bar etc.
  23. Sold The Car. looking for a Vehicle again, this time looking for a SUV (Crossover)  Probably a X-Trail 2006+ Suzuki Vitara / Escudo 2007+.

yup that's the thing... I was mildly interested in the same a while back...the 3.5 range will fetch you the older model.(2005ish)

Yes, but rather going for that, would want to settle with T30 Xtrail. there was a RAV4 2005 Brand new imported, but sadly it was snatched by Sale Mudalali when i'm planning to pay a visit. Budget has made these Cross-overs overpriced.
