  2. If a Honda-built SUV is your preference look no further than the CRV as kush suggested - yes it will not give you temporary satisfaction of 15 KMPL but in the long run it's a really reliable SUV that will just keep on running. The thing with the hybrids is that whatever you save on fuel you eventually spend on some costly repair so you really can't have both ?

  4. Hey! @Kavvz, Hope you cleaned up the gunk and now all is back to normal with your ride. Guess what! I also had to go on battery shopping over last week. ?? Had the fog lamps on for a good 5-6 hours on the Mazda and managed to drain the battery completely. It read as 9V when I noticed my mistake. Jump started it with a friend and ran for about an hour and all looked like it was back to normal only to realize that again the voltage was down to 11V next day morning. Then took it to a charging station and performed a overnight trickle charge which shot it up to 12V+. But, once I took it home and connected to the car it did not crank. The voltage read just at 11V now although the cat eye indicator was all green. So, it seemed like the battery was not holding a charge for a prolonged period. Had enough of this and decided to scrap it at that point. This was the third EXIDE I used on my Mazda on the trot. Therefore before going for another EXIDE I that thought of looking at some of the old Battery invoices to get an idea how they have performed over the years and the details were as follows. 1. Exide Ultra - 2012/05 to 2015/10 ( 3 years 5 months) 2. Exide Power MF - 2015/10 to 2018/05 ( 2 years 7 months) 3. Exide Power MF - 2018/05 to 2020/10 ( 2 years 5 months) As you can see, the longevity of EXIDES are not promising. of course they are cheap and the after sales service such as the BATTMOBILE is great. But for me they are not dependable enough. So, this time went with an "AMARON Go" which comes with a three year replacement warranty compared to the one year offered by EXIDE to be on the safe side. And.. here's the last picture of the EXIDE before I ditched it. You would see that the cat eye indicator is all green although the voltage was just 11V. Maybe the battery was just holding only a surface level charge. ?

  5. Why is it even a question ? the CRV You are talking about a RM series CRV which was much simpler with a NA engine and far easier to sort out any issues than a Vezel. The CRV will have a better ride, equal refinement, if it is an export model (non JDM) then some bells and whistles might be missing but it makes up for it in every other way.

  6. If the budget is the same then yes...the CRV is a much better overall car. But I am shocked that a RS Sensing Vezel is the same price as a CRV. WTH ? As for fuel economy...might be lower than a Hybrid..yes...but I think the overall cost of ownership would be the same when you consider all the things that act up and have to be taken care of in the Vezel.

  7. if you have a budget to go for a RS sensing why don't you look at a CRV 2012-2018 Utterly reliable Only down side will be kmpl if you can live that

  8. Well....finding FD series parts in Japan is quite tricky....the FD series Civic was not well received by the masses because it went with a wider body which (at the time) was not conducive for Japan in terms of usability and taxes. Because of the size and engine capacities a larger car like Accords were much more sensible buys. The most desired model was the Type R and..well...as you know anything associated with a FD Type R is unreasonable expensive. Saw a set of carpets for a Type R being sold for 250,000yen.

  10. Thats what I thought so, If im not wrong this kit was sold as an optional extra. Was the kit imported from Malaysia? I was actually planning to get the 2.0L version of the FD in Australia before I got my Crown

  11. A friend bought a 2020 M2 Competition recently. 331kW and 550Nm of Twin Turbo straight six glory! Revvs all the way to redline with absolutely no signs of lag! A bit too much power and torque for the rear wheels to cope with at times, but lots of fun! Here`s the little beast next to my little nugget.!! Surprisingly, almost the same length. Track and width is a different story I know one cannot compare 400+ HP and 2020 design and chassis dynamics to a 30 year old car, but to be totally honest, the E30 still gives me more smiles per gallon! Maybe it`s just me.
