  1. Not related, but there was this famous turnkey construction company who was contracted to build my house. I was not satisfied with some of their work. They did not attend to correction work even with several reminders. I sent a letter of demand but no progress. Finally I kept commenting on their Facebook page. They deleted in the morning but I re-commented in the evening, this went on for about two weeks. Finally I think due to the negative impact they gave me a meeting with the chairman and got the issue solved. Power of social media.

  2. Just follow the accelerator cable to the carb , you'll find a screw keeping the idle speed adjustment. turn it to the left with the engine on. And make sure the choke is fully off,.

  3. ...but in many ways...there is reason for that. Consumer protection mechanisms in Sri Lanka are appalling. On one hand, consumers know that if they pursue legal action it is going to take a whole lot of time and money that it is going to end up costing a lot more on top of what the person has lost in terms of the car's poor repairs. On the other hand, these garages and car salesmen know that the system does not protect consumers and that even if a consumer does pursue legal action it will take a life time for anything to happen. So they are quite comfortable to continue pretty much doing whatever shoddy work they are doing (or selling whatever death traps they are selling)

  4. Did you know that there was a point ot time when the FBI was hunting down folks (especially brown ones) who wore F91W? https://thenextweb.com/insider/2015/10/20/how-the-casio-f-91w-became-the-worlds-most-versatile-and-dangerous-watch/ https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.spiegel.de/international/world/al-qaida-s-watch-of-choice-wearing-a-casio-enough-to-become-terror-suspect-a-758913-amp.html

  5. I ended up with a Huawei Watch GT after hunting for a few Seiko and CK models. Certainly not a piece of art, but thanks to it I started working out and walking more to get step count goals. Ended up loosing over 11kg and getting a lower hearbeat. It’s really a fitness tracker without smart features with a classy look. Geek-wise, it’s still a basic watch; something like a mi band with a colourful display. Will not buy a Huawei watch again, but certainly I’d go for a smart watch without even thinking twice...

  7. I would say no, as a beginner not this age of bmw at least. also to add to the others, do not expect it to hold up value, even though u take care of it or upgrade it. These were 7mil up cars when new also do not get too finicky with the mileage as these are high mileage capable cars, look at the service history, go ocd on that and get a thorough inspection done, most cases the inspection alone puts you off the idea as this country is is full of people who don’t maintain cars well, and short term money makes who flip cars for a profit, especially euros which they buy dirt cheap from the owner or lease yard, do a facelift or paint touch up, shoddy work beneath and sell it to a poor bum saying bmw luxury ultimate V*P blah blah This is taking into account that you are investing a certain lump of your finances into buying your car and hoping to enjoy the car. If you can manage to withstand the financial turmoil, Any car can be made to look good and reliable.
