  1. LANCER EX- Life before me Found an awesome set of old clicks of my lancer courtesy of my good friend Elnino. It seems she had quite an eventful life before settling down with me in my remote village. Thought of sharing some pics to have a glimpse of her past.

  2. I used to work with @E L N I N O during 2009 - 2010 or so. Both of us had CS Lancers back then. Parked side by side in the office car park some days. So I'm quite aware of the personalities of the ladies. I can vouch that they have been treated with respect and care. ? About the tail lights... The earlier EXs came with a red tinted light while the later models came with a clear lens with black surround which looks bette IMO. There are some really nice tail lights for the EX, but I too like the stock tail lights. Also the stock projector headlights look awesome!

  3. The 'Nissan Leaf Srilankan owners club' is the most depressing FB page ever. Lots of good & reasonable people, all waiting for the messiah to descend from the heavens with a set of affordable & brand new batteries. Some even selling their cars by openly saying it can only do 50km on a full charge

  5. I have a pic of previous owner removing the aftermarket back lights and putting the stock ones back in (could be due to a damage). So I believe he sold the aftermarket taillights along with the Vortex generator. Honestly I think the stock one looks better. It really pops out the back.

  8. Crude is an understatement but this is actually one of his better videos I watched a video by this guy...where he was trying to market a Proton Gen 2 as a car that has a 'Jentiliman Look' but kudos for him for promoting non-mainstream models though.

  9. Do you prefer these cars due to their modification potential? For a first car & daily driveability, I'd suggest something a bit less older. These cars are more than 20 years old now so you have to do a thorough inspection on them before purchasing as this is going to be a daily driver. Majority of the civics were abused by boy racers (especially the ones with the D15B-VTEC engine, so finding one in good condition is rather difficult) You can get non-vtec ones for your budget and in better condition but they have slightly lower efficiency, lower power & lower re-sale compared to the VTECs. (Doesn't matter if you are keeping it for a long time). If you really love to have a civic, try to go for an EK3 as much as possible as the EG8 needs lots of maintenance due to slightly older age, also I could never find an EG without mods the last time I searched for them. As for the CK lancers, the CK1 is the most economical model due to the 1300cc engine, but don't expect fast & furious vibes when driving. They are fun-handling & simple cars to own & are freely available in stock, unabused condition. CK2s are slightly more powerful and parts are easily available, but let's wait for our lancer experts to comment on it. Didn't you try searching the forum? Whichever car you want to buy, take a mechanic with you if possible as this is your first car and you're spending hard-earned money on it, ask for service records and do a test drive, don't trust your money on the seller's words.

  13. I translated the Japanese spec sheet to English for my own use. I thought to share it with you. I can translate optional packages and special conditions too if needed, but the following is enough to get a good idea. P.S This is my very first post on this forum. All pages are attached as images. I cant attach PDF

  14. You should try out the new direct shift transmissions from Toyota....they are actually pretty fun (although there is a bit of stringyness to it it is not bad as before....and the actual 1st gear makes a huge difference)

  15. That’s why people need to be comfortable with little bit of elbow grease and some sweat. You go to a servicing station, waste your time waiting in an A/C room while worrying what’s going on with your vehicle. How about, spending that time at home doing it yourself? It’s a simple process which requires few tools and you’ll be saving your time, money and will be getting a good work out as well. You’ll get to know your vehicle as well. For the past 13 years of vehicle ownership, this has been my process. I take my car to service stations only for oil changing and running repairs. Washing, Polishing, Vacuuming and interior cleaning is all done at home as DIY jobs. It’s really satisfying as well. That’s how I have been able to maintain a 20 year old car in good condition without any electrical or cosmetic issues. ?
