  1. Value controlled by the battery control module is called the State of Charge (SoC). It's a value that moves between 0-100% regardless of the usable capacity. I forgot to mention earlier that BCM will reset the 'usable capacity' when the system is reset. But it will always normalize to the actual value once you run 100-200km or more. So when getting the report, always ensure that it is not taken immediately after a system reset (this can be figured out in the same report as it shows the mileage since last reset).

  2. It can be checked accurately. The parameter to check is "Hybrid battery usable capacity". In Honda Ni-MH batteries the max capacity is 75%. If the usable capacity is 35%, that means the battery has 35/75% of its original capacity.

  3. *Don't keep it parked out under the sun for prolonged periods. If you have to do so, cover the windscreen and open the windows slighty. *When parking at home or when it's not being used alot, keep the windows slightly open or else you will experience fungus growth on the leather upholstery and if you don't clean it out immediately, it will leave nasty white spots around. *Use a leather polish from time to time. *When getting into the car, try to aim your proud cheeks right into the center of the seat. I have noticed how some seats have wrinkles on the side part because they just slide into the seat by sitting on the side and so on. *Also, does your Civic come with full leather or half leather (center part is fabric, like the vezel/GP5s)? If it's full leather, try not to scooch around alot, sit steadily like a rock. And no, constant cleaning & conditioning isn't necessary. Maybe give it a little clean & polish with a leather care product once every month or so depending on usage. EDIT: I use this badu, OneStar Interior Polish 225ml, normal stuff and gives the leather a nice subtle shine. Don't apply in excess though. That's about it!

  4. Isn't those are the variables controlled by the battery management program and not the unique values related to the battery health condition?

  5. Actually I have a doubt whether battery health could be checked accurately (I mean, telling like 75% good or 45% good). By which parameters the health status could be given accurately.?

  6. there's a reason for that. There's lot of down and up hills in that area where they sometimes technically travel the entire trip in the neutral gear with engine switched off!! Freaky yeah.. Newer models with brake assistance rather brake booster requires the engine to run in order to apply brakes effectively. So they prefer this model over L300.
