  1. They have not published it....the report that said Toyota had 6000x orders said that the Daihatsu had only 3500 order. On one hand it could also be because in Japan Toyota has a much wider dealership network than Daihatsu. Because of that Japanese prefer to buy the Toyota variant of a common car because the after sales service is more accessible and comprehensive. I found the Rocky to be much nicer looking. I took this at the motorshow...look at the height of the women next to the white Rocky over there.... Since we are putting up picture of comparison....here are some pics of the vehicle next to a Toyota Probox and a kei van Here is Nobohiko Ono-san, designer of the Rocky/Raize standing next to his creation... Here is Ono-san, who also was the chief engineer for the Boon/Passo standing nex to his creation a few years back.. Here is a beautiful Japanese model sleeping in the back of a Vitz GR Sport GR... well...I could not find a picture of her laying in a Raize/Rocky...so that was a waste but look at this man stand next to it... now look at him sit in it Finally...a Copen GR Sport, CHR GR Sport and a Raize altogether

  4. Well....even the 2018 CHR I am guessing you are looking at buying used ? Either car...as long asy ou find one that has been properly maintained and honest....the likely hood of them having any serious issues apart from running maintenance are quite low. Yes...the CRV is pretty good and has always been that way....reliable..decently put...gets the job done. The only thing that it sets apart from vehicles like the RAV4 and X-Trail is a matter of personal preference and the CRV has always been a little bit more luxurious feeling than the others. The CHR too has been around for a while and so far has been pretty decent. I believe the CRV is a more practical vehicle to own....more storage space better space for passengers on long trips, etc...The CHR is a more youthful and funky vehicle. The CRV might be a little bit thirstier on fuel..If you go for an AWD variant...check for rear diff whine. CRVs have always had issues with it when poorly maintained. The CHR being a lot newer will have more safety features and other gadgets which were not available a few years before whent he CRV you are looking at was being sold. So you won't get a lot of the active safety features like lane assist, auto braking, etc....but still for its time the CRV was pretty well rated for its safety. If I am not mistaken quite a few of the CRV of the vintage you are looking at were bought down by the agent for permit holders....so you might even be luck enough to find one of those with a good maintenance history...(or even a one owner one).

  7. Agree with Hyaenidae Makes no sense to have it on old paint/old car unless you have repainted it fully with some good stuff . Best would be to invest in a good wax ( not the standard stuff which you get in your supermarkets ) but brands such as Meguiar's , Mothers carer care product range etc.

  8. Out of all the cars out there...why are you using the permit to buy a Raize ? Sell the permit...put the money you have for the Raize and then buy a decent used full sized crossover or sedan ?. and no...the Raize was first Raized by @CNX in the Japanese Car News thread on 6th of November so you were a bit late to the party ..but kids these days say arriving late is fashionable...

  9. f**king hell, reading this story just now. I really feel sorry for you @Klord. But sadly this is the reality of most repair shops in our country. I bet they acted up when you pointed out the imperfections. Not covering the wheels and windshield is a common mistake these buggers do. Ive had this experience with Auto Miraj where I got a repair done to the rear bumper of my previous lancer there were paint residue were left all over the rear windshield. It was very visible as the glass was tinted black. So when I confronted them on this matter, they were surprisingly annoyed but removed the paint using soap water and sand paper. Needless to say there were few scratch marks left like what you have got in yours at the end. One of my friends had a similar experience there where they painted a door while the windows were open, his car had paint residue all over inside. These things are hard to believe but actually happening. Once another reputed place named Mr Paint charged a friend of mine for a bumper replacement when they actually had just repaired the bumper. My friend who had a hunch about this asked them to remove the bumper and proved their fraud by posting out a marks left inside of a previously done repair. These panel adjustments can be done by tightening the bolts and nuts but it should be done precisely to prevent unusual alignment issues. Id like to suggest you go back to them (vtec) and get the panel alignment corrected. If they couldn't do it properly that means their repair has issues. So you can get it corrected by them. Also get the dripped paint polished (removed) by them plus cleaning the wheels. Don't leave the car there, get it done while you are there. Don't go alone, take someone with you who can talk and who knows these things. Show them the damage done to the windscreen as well. Most probably they won't do anything about it, but tell them that you are willing to public if they fail to fix these issues properly. This is the thing with these reputed places, when they gain the business volumes they tend to neglect the small things and value for the work they are doing and become somewhat robotic at the job. One last thing, don't publish your personal info on the net, so may I suggest covering the number plate in your photos. Hope you get the issues properly, almost forgot about the AC, get the VTEC to correct it as well. Don't avoid them cuz you are uncomfortable with confronting them again and again. Its their duty to do the repair correctly and do justice for the amount they've charged (which by the way is an exorbitant price). Cheers!

  10. If you take the Amarok out it becomes a fair comparison as they are all SUVs with good off road credentials available to purchase in the UK Sadly it does not change much for the "Prado"

  11. Actually I do not think you understand what you are talking about. In the UK you do not officially get the Lexus GX460. The UK has not had a Lexus GX460 since 2010. Most grey imports to the UK come from Japan, where they do not have the Lexus GX460. Niether does Australia....so...you are proposing he use a car he cannot get. Secondly..no..the Lexus GX460 is not expensive because of reliability. Reliability wise it is the same as the Land Cruiser Prado. It is expensive because of all the bells and whistles you get in the form of extra sound deadening, the fancy electronic suspension, etc...where the core of the car is concerned the Lexus GX460 has the same reliability as the Prado. In fact many enthusiasts claim that the GX460 is less reliable than the Prado because of all the fancy electronic gimmicks. Those who buy second hand/old GX cars simply rip out the fancy electronic stuff and stick standard Land Cruiser replacement parts.

  13. My wagon R has more leg room, head room, than the Corolla Sport. I would even say more than the CRV. It is the design, box maximizes space, seats are thin, no central console, doors does not have much storage or enough space for high quality speakers. Smaller tires/ wheel arches does not intrude to cabin. All of which compromises the comfort and feel of the car.

  17. i think toyota doesn’t like to use dual turbochargers for their engines because of reliability issues if they can put dual turbo for same engine you can gust about HP even in v8 gx460 model same, they r focusing for reliability not performance
