  2. There's a saying "When you are in deep-sh*t keep your mouth shut" your sad, childish, pathetic, marketing gimmick has now been found, you have lost all credibility and whatever drivel you type is now scorned by the forum members. If you have any common sense or an ounce of shame left you'd better close both of your accounts and stop mumbling here. This is no longer about the quality of Chinese Vehicles but more about a pathetic childish attempt by a naive third class marketer. And since you like to quote in Sinhala : ෆේක් account දෙකක් හදන් සත පනහෙ මාකටින් කරන්න ගිහින් ...ඒකවත් හරියට කරගන්න බැරිව නාගත්ත උඹට මොන democracy ද? තවත් විහිලුවක් වෙන්නැතුව නිදාගනින්

  3. The Tenaga (Park Smart) car parking fines is a total nightmare. If you are unable to pay the due fine within 2 hours, the fine increases from LKR 100 to LKR 1500 which is absurd. The intention of this post is not to discuss about this problem, but to address another issue. When someone purchase a used vehicle, specially if its used daily in Colombo, its always best to check the parking fine history. As this fine is associated with the vehicle registration number. I know few vehicle owners who neglect these fine payments and the fines has reached 500k+ LKR. The excuse for them is the mobile app doesn't work to pay the fines on time etc ... Lets imagine they sell one of those vehicles and the new owner may not know about the hefty fines attached with vehicle registration number. This will be an unnecessary court case at the end. Im not sure how this may play out. But better be cautious and add this to the checklist when you are buying a vehicle.

  6. @Roshan321, I have a good mind to file a petition in the court of admins challenging your membership of the aristocratic capitalist forum of autolanka due to you holding dual identities, forging official forms, and worst of all, for continuing to blather about with no sense of shame as if you didn't get caught with your pants down.

  8. ...and if you see that is what most were trying to do at the beginning and the main reason the moderators still have not locked this thread despite all the off-topic posts (we have even hidden irrelevant and insulting posts). However, a direct and honest review of a vehicle is not posting youtube videos of the vehicle in languages that none of us understand (except for one which just listed out all the accessories in the car in Sinhala) and bashing cars that obviously have proved itself. That is when things went to the dog house. Moderators stepped in because the posts were going no where and there clearly was deception. So lets hope things improve from here onwards....

  10. He never commented saying this car is built in China...I currently have an AE100, but this Chinese car is better in every way...This Chinese car's doors are heavier than AE100 and almost weighs like a Palath Sabha Pajero...It is the best hatchback for the price...It has full options...China is a nice country...They have a nice ongoing airport project....blah...blah...blah... and then at the end, the review of that particular vehicle done in Chinese or Russian

  14. Daihatsu even going to offer 48V mild hybrid systems like Wagon-R soon, where as Toyota only has full hybrids in their lineup. I am quite sure it will be a hit here.

  15. Dear All, Shall I do humble request for all who post in this thread. I can see there are so many unnecessary topics discussing without point out the reason for the thread. This is new model introduced recently and I think we better see the comment from real owners of this vehicle , what are the good points , bad points which they realized. then it will be good for the viewers. condemn it by looking at as Chinese vehicle is not a propper way to evaluate. past history for Chinese vehicle may not good but we cannot predict the future by always looking at the past. 90% of items in our home / office are made in China even our shirt buttons ?. My understanding is they will come to Vehicle market same like other areas, specially give competition with price as they did for all other industries. Come to the point , I request to the actual owners (not fake profile owners ?) to post their experience with the pics of their vehicle which will give us confident of their originality as owner. Even this is introduced nor more than 6 months I know some of owners driven it fair mileage at the moment. I have met one person in Ella town who already completed 15000KM. He said he is doing tourism and going upcountry at least 5-6 time per month without any issue with this vehicle. I think he is also traveling around the country as well. We need the view from people like them not like fake owners who actually destroy the confidence for others. Therefore I suggest to Admins of this page to block the people you identify as fake and not a real owners. otherwise they will do a mess here.

  16. Sweet spot for the permit is 1200cc petrol or 1500cc hybrid hence the 3008/5008/CH-R/ Corolla Sport or Aqua/ Axio/ Fit/ Grace/ Vezel/ or New Insight (expensive though) 1300-1500 you get a good choice from the likes of Civic/ CRV/ Audi../ BMW.. / Mercs although personally you will not benifit much unless you're using your own permit

  17. There is nothing wrong with Daihatsu cars They are the market leaders for kei cars in Japan and is pretty much owned by Toyota. Toyota gets Daihatsu's small cars as sells them as Toyota and Daihatsu takes Toyota's large cars and sells them as Daihatsus. There is a lot of R&D and tech sharing going on between the two companies. The Move is sold as a Subaru and a Perodua (or is atleast based on it). In some countries the Move was sold as the Daihatsu Charade. Which Move are you looking at ? THe Move comes with a 660cc engine and in some markets came with a 1000cc engine. Usability wise, being a kei car it will be quite handy and economical doing city runs in traffic. Driving at highway speeds, pulling up mountains with the car full and with a lot of luggage will make you push the engine hard. Being a somewhat uncommon car you might have to do a bit of work to find body parts (You can always have them imported) Engine components are shared with some other Daihatsu (and depending on the model even Toyota) cars so you should be able to find some. It won't be as easy as walking in to any random shop and buying the part though...

  19. Hi guys....Its being some times since logged and posted on forum. But followed al the topics almost everyday Couldn't stay without commenting on this topic... I am not a owner neither going to be a owner for DFSK 580 , But lets say a Victim of a similar vehicle. So this might not be 100% relevant to this said vehicle. I have owned (not any more) a JONWAY A380 for a period of 4 years. (A copy of a RAV4- 2003-2006) model, Manual Gear(F5M41) , 4G18S Engine. Vehicle was purchased B/N from Agents (Softlogi*Auto**** ) At first when just brought the vehicle , it was a one of the superb vehicle for use (at least under the impression). Interior was leather, Acceleration was really good, Paint was shining was very happy with the vehicle, Fuel figures were also not so bad (10-11 kmpl city and 13kmpl outstation). All started with a passenger side seat belt warning light. It illuminates and warns despite no one is sitting , when checked closely it didn't have a sensor to detect if a passenger is sitting or not! Airbag warning light came about a week after...(Agents tried to correct this unlimited times) but even at the time of selling also error was not corrected Plastic started cracking and breaking after about 6 months of use. (Stereo cover, interior Handels, dashboard trim prices...etc). once you remove a plastic cover you can not fit it again as clips got broken. Plastic parts so much breakable no more different than tictac box plastic. Plastic wheel cover lost almost all the clips in a period of about 2 year use. Windscreen rubber beading was brittle and cracked! Black plastic trims on mirrors were scaling Under the impression that mechanical parts are freely available as Mitsubishi 5M41 , 4G18S gearbox and engine, but they were mismatching (Eg- Finding a clutch plate was a nightmare ! only agents help was remaining) Corrosion... nothing could stop it, Door edges, front collision bar and any sharp edge or where a paint chip In Summary had to rely on Agents for sourcing parts.Part prices were very expensive as agent had monopoly over spare parts. Some how managed to live with the help of agents for 4 years. But Thanks to technicians advice made up my mind to sell despite a loss of 2mil, as he claimed that no more spare parts will be imported as mother company is closed in china and yes not the company is totally closed ! even website ..... I cant say same will happen to DFSK, But Chinese are changing their models like people are changing cloths and spare part bank is not maintained. I don't know if a agreement between agent for sourcing spare parts after model is discontinued is available or not ! In summary- Until Chinese will prove there after sales are reliable I would stay away from a Chinese

  20. The new Corolla Sedan and Corolla Touring wagon with the 1.2L would also be an option but those come with only a 6MT. THe Hybrid 1.8 and Gasoline 1.8L will attract taxes.

  21. CH-R/ Corolla Sport you pay only for the car on the permit Only issue rear seat space which will not be a priority for you

  22. Well you have the many traditional options for that price range. Resalable depends on how long you plan to keep it. If its a few years, I would stick to Toyota and avoid Hybrids. Otherwise if you want to be adventurous, http://autolanka.com/forums/topic/21020-dfsk-580/?page=8&tab=comments#comment-325705

  24. What is your purpose. Are you planning to use the SUV for hardcore off-roading ? or just to have nice, comfortable 7 seater soft suv to carry your family and enjoy the comfort and the drive. If you are planning to use it for off road activities, Montero sport will do the work, but if you want to have a brand new, comfortable, high-tech soft SUV, then 5008 will do the work. If you don't mind the resale value and if you are not in to off roading, just go for 5008, who knows we live to re-sell the vehicle, so you can enjoy the brand new, luxury (compared to Montero sport) and high tech ride. This my view
